Never Forgotten, Always Remembered with Respect, Dignity and Pride that Hickstead represented Canada so well on so many occasions. We will Always Remember Hickstead in the same category as Big Ben, Ridden by Ian Miller. Enjoy the Alyssian Fields, run, eat, be strong, play with Ben, until we meet again. From Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
this is so sad and sweet at the same time. i cried when i watched this :( RIP Hickstead we will never forget you!! you were one of the greatest horses of all time, if not the greatest, and we will miss you so much!
Fatna it's true what you said about Hickstead. He was an amazing and talented horse who passed away too soon. No one, not even the veterinarians knew he had a heart issue, until it was to late. But he always gave his heart and soul to Eric Lamaze and whatever he asked him to do. We can be grateful that there are so many videos of him doing what he loved to do, and that was jump. @4AllHorsesOutThere Sorry - a horse can get bleached but they don't grow a snip for the summer months;) I have seen Hickstead compete throughout the summer months at Spruce and he never "bleached to a chestnut" haha:) Eric rides a bunch of horses - I think the maker of the video was just in a hurry and didn't realize the mistake!
Last round he jumped at the Royal Winter Fair. To Honour him, Hickstead, they laid the poles where the jumps would have been. I used Ian Miller this at a clinic I went to in the spring. Hope you have a good weekend! Best Regards, from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
That's a reminded, they are alive, until Brocken Down !
Hickstead was the ultimate horse and he was so loved and will be missed by everyone who loves horses.

R.I.P Hickstead!! He was amazing :'( and the tribute was amazing but why did they put the poles on the ground?

Why is there a picture of Eric jumping another horse in this tribute to Hickstead?
Just a mistake
I didnt understand what they did in the end, laying out the boms?
RIP Hickstead...
