Good advice from the guy with the cap, he is right. Your interviews are amazing, you start with a question not so complicate, rather simple, and you build up from there to more elaborate questions, bring it out honest answer from the people that you interview, it is not so easy to do it
Love your interviews, I really get a good picture about differences.. and I love how they all prefer meeting naturally.. Tinder seems to be not their first choice ..
It was a fun shoot. It is important that relationships begin with trust and intimacy. It was nice to see that we are in similar cultures. People you don't know can message you via your social media account and their approach is sometimes good but often annoying. Shares will increase when this is seen as a matter of personal attitude completely independent of country and culture. Mutual love, respect goodwill and a self-sacrificing life will change the process of relationships.
Thanks for all videos, each of them are interesting on their own way! Bring it out honest answer from ordinary people is good to hear and also it is good to know what we could expect if we are there! Carry on!!! Hakju has the best explanations and answers... "We are all humans after all..." Best wishes for braking those stereotypes... 화이팅!!! 💪🥰
Probably 14 or 15 in international age. This is why I struggle being a teacher at a Korean middle school. Half the times I can’t tell the difference between the students and the teachers. The kids dress so nice and are so tall these days 😅
8:35 Street club(Dance and drink) is the worst place to meet a serious one. It's mostly for one night stand. Guys will approach to you with impure purpose especially if you are a foreigner. 1. If you stay in korea for a long time, go to hobby clubs in universities and make friends. Date and relationship is a long game so starting as a friend first is the best shot. 2. Language exchange meetup is a good choice too. You don't have to be an undergraduate. Learning languages is a good pretext and the possibility of meet a decent guy is quite high because he is already interested in your culture. 3. Be a hunter yourself, approach to a guy. You can find a decent one in a library, gym, basketball court, cafe, bookstore, restaurant, park, any workplace. Just avoid the club areas such as hongdae, itaewon, gangnam. I say it again, Never expect the right one in clubs.
I would be interested in that topic as well. I am going to visit Korea next year for about 3 months. Mainly for language studies and my hopes that I might get involved in dating are not the highest. But as a single, I would be still curious to know about the differences in case some dating opportunities might arise. If not it is fine. But knowledge is still power. it is good to know what to do in case some chances might arise.
Not much of a difference but Koreans aren’t very direct. It’s hard to tell if they’re playing hard to get or taking their silence via text/messages as a rejection. I’m a lesbian and I’ve met atleast 5 lesbian/bisexual women in Korea via dating app and tinder, pretty easy but it’ll be challenging for heterosexual. As for men to meet both foreigner and Korean women, this is challenging. I find it easy for women to meet men just for fun but not for a serious relationship.
the guy in the cap has real standards and he reminds me soo much of the very famous c-drama actor yang yang!! hahahah. he looks very similar to him and his alluring smile too. hahah.
Thank you, Jin. That was really refreshing. I've been feeling a bit down lately because as a foreigner I've found it very tough to date in Korea. My coworker even told me that most Koreans won't really set up foreigners on blind dates unless that person plans to stay in Korea forever, since blind dates tend to be for very serious, marriage-in-mind relationships. I often feel like I'm not considered an option, just "the mysterious foreign woman". The guy in the made me feel better when he said he wants to break that stereotype. Much respect. I hope I can meet more people like him next year.
interesting video, but i have a question, what is this club where the people go ? clubs are like disco where people dance ? a bar ? thanks for the info
and european women are very educated n successfull in their own lifes- we ALWAYS offer to pay the bills half n half in a restaurant. but most men are offended by it and feel rejected hehe. okay but i dont wanna owe anything to a stranger. some guys have that weird thinking. like hey i paid for your food or your cocktail - so you owe me xxxx. or some bs. in my last relationship long term we switched bills. sometimes i paid, sometimes he did. perfect. or he pays the dinner to keep his honor - later on i might pay for the cinema tickets or some.
As a Brazilian it's so crazy to see the culture differences. Here, we are a lot more affectionate so you could kiss (a propper kiss) or have sex on the first date and, although having sex on the first date might seem bad due to sexism, it could also be seen as normal. It's very common to have "something" with people (at times, with a lot of them at the same time hahaha since you're not in a serious relationship) and it can last years. For us being in a serious relationship means that you will meet the family and will make official for everyone. Other than that we are very casual people.
It's a shame. Here in the UK a lot of women would be the exact opposite. They would say if you were both friends first that would be a reason NOT to date someone. Alot of the dating "rules" here in the west are all backwards. Nice to see in Korea, there's a lot that is still the right way around 👍 (Making me want to move out there as people seem a lot more sensible)

That couple who make RUclips videos seem like really lovely people. All of the people you interviewed in this video do actually.

In asia the youth in majority still dress properly and not crazy for attention seeking.
Something I admire about asian culture.
