I draw for a living and have done most of the following so food for thought? - Sound quality for this video. - The way in which they hold the pen; the way in which this person is holding the pen their fingers are in a harsh angle which will give your pen a more downward pressure to it; it looks like do more writing rather than drawing. - More pressure = more control for some. - Beginner artists tense up and lock their fingers and wrist and can be seen to draw from the elbow. Drawing from the fingers, wrist and shoulder can create different overall looks as well as depending on the size of an image.
Its honestly just a pet peeve of mine from growing up watching my brother use writing utensils as if he's the hulk..... Ye does hold it similarly to this artist though youre right.

I got the wierdest tingles from the squeaky marker, it was like him my thighs (im a girl so it made things very weird) but traveled uo my lower back not on my spine then mad its ways to my shoulder blades. I normally just have tingles on the back of my head and stuff, but man these were weird
