homeboy is like Carole I cant play and turn and look at your goregous awesome talented self....i gots to look at these keys....shes like oh right i forget not everyone can jam be goregous and amazing and look around lol
Ralph's passing brought me here. So sad but so great to he and Carole just having a blast on this tune. I saw Ralph on several of Utopia shows with Todd, Moogy, Jean Ives Labatt, John Siegler, and Kevin Elliman. One of the best bands I've ever seen. I know Todd has a huge catalog but as far as bands go I think that may have been his best.
Whoa wait. She's only getting inducted now? 60 years after locomotion and 51 years after tapestry? And pure shit like run dmc is in the same hall of fame 25 years already? You cannot be serious
Oh yes “smack water jack” I know all the words after all these years. Everything she wrote, and saying, even for other people, the lyrics are unforgettable. She was a great writer as well.
As she says in the introduction, she didn't write the lyrics, that was Gerry Goffin. They were a famous partnership in the early sixties, so much so that John Lennon was once quoted as saying that he wanted himself and Paul McCartney to be known as the Goffin-King of England.
Looks like he's (the bass player) is reading it too... astounding feel, touch, and taste, listen to the lick goin into "you can't talk to a man". That's the real deal.
👏👏👏👏🎹🎹🖒🖒..What a good recording ... it gives a freshness that the studio does not have and your voice makes it more cheerful ... it is an apprehension thanks for sharing this live song of this concert🎙🎤💯✔👌👌👌⚘🌷💐❤💚💙💛💜💟💖💗💓🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Ralph killing it on piano
The great Carole King.
She’s a dish too, if you’re still allowed to say that.
I think that's allowed :)
Never heard that song before. Halfway through I realized I had a smile on my face. Carol was having fun that night.
😅have
This is more than excellent, Tapestry is the best record of a woman of the seventies.
If there's such a thing as "lead" and "rhythm" piano, then here we have them.
Good observation

My 18 year old Granddaughter loves this. ❤
Pure talent, no background, no cellphones, just them and their instruments.
I still have the album.
And that, kids, is how you play as a listener and part of an ensemble! Lots of BIG ears up on this one

Twelve bar blues boogie
I absolutely love Ralph Schuckett"s piano playing on this but that bass is fantastic. I love it when a bass guitar stands out in a song.
Very nice bass part. Love those walks.

Never knew Carol King wrote this - learnt this from my Quincy Jones' records!
Let’s hear it for Ralph Shuckett!!!!

Was thinking something like this. It's not like it had never happened before, just a different world today, sadly. Hope for better times ahead. 🙏🏼
An everyday tale of illegal firearms, mass killings and extrajudicial execution in ol 'Murica - with some fantastic piano.
