I am using LEGO bricks to attempt to recreate the boatem hole from season 8 of Hermitcraft, how did I do?

Yes the back of every grian build doesn’t have a back unless he does it with 4 more hermits on the 3rd last episode. Before releasing the map to the public.
If he did do the back of this Lego build it would have 48x48 base plates in a frame of rail bricks. And be done in December of 2022

As soon as I saw the back I was like: Oh, yep. He has done it again, just like almost EVERY base he has done in Hermitcraft 🤦

Grian is better at organizing in real life than in minecraft.
Just for future reference the issue with bricks not being cubes is because a brick is five plates wide and 3 plates tall, if you wanted to retry you could always do something like that
The cats absolutely nailed this build. Truly a remarkable feat from the both of them. I applaud their cuteness, cuddliness, and pure genius.

Saw a snippet of grians s10 base in scars video and I’d LOVE TO SEE THAT IN LEGOOOOOO it’s so cozyyyy
So here’s a fun fact about LEGO if no one has said it already, a lot of professional LEGO master-builders (the ones who build the sculptures at their theme parks) use methods that Grian used in this video (e.g. using a variety of different colors for the interior because there is simply not enough of a single color, structural support, and a hollow interior). Overall, Grian did awesome job and was more true to LEGO than he perhaps realized!
Perhaps LEGO builders and Minecraft builders aren’t so different after all
Building with Lego is perfect for Grian, as when making extra detailed models it's actually quite common practice to leave the backs unfinished. He's already fitting right in :)

I mean most like Lego builds that big my AfoLs (adult fans of Lego) for displays and stuff are like that. It’s recommended for use, Duplo bricks are great for holding the weight of large mountains as well! And really easy to find lots of.

The LEGO group should honestly collaborate with members from the Hermitcraft server and make them have their own sets, like Scars swagon and all of the surrounding wagons, the boatem gigabase, or just the big eye crew's coastal city. I think it would sell well since hermitcraft is widely known, as well as Minecraft and LEGO fans being very similar. Of course they would have to scale down the builds, but that wouldn't be a bad hing in my opinion. That just makes it more reasonable and affordable.

Bro that’s better than the whole entire series of Lego sites that Lego has came out with that has been better than them all. Yes, the back isn’t finished what so ever but that makes it even better😂
Lego is my main hobby, Grian, don’t feel bad at all about have the “not camera friendly” side be multi colored.
If you ever see a giant Lego mountain or just a large structure, I can guarantee that any parts that aren’t meant to be visible are not only hollow, but held up with rainbow colored pillars aswell. We will actually use Lego Duplo instead of regular bricks as they are exactly 4 times larger and are still compatible with regular bricks.

The biggest limitation is the price. If it were easier to get all the colored bricks we need in bulk, the door for creativity would be much more widely open. One small LEGO set is easily $40 with the larger ones being well over $100. This build is bigger than some of the large LEGO sets. Great build and would love to see more people do stuff like this.
And thus began Grian's journey to become a MOC builder.
