One of the best suggestions for a kid to start with a hobby grade rc and is CHEAP for the size. Also i laughing so much when you throw the bell next to suscribe button and laugh when you shaw us what is underneath this green thing, hahahahahahaha Kevin you have sooo much fun and the unboxings are so fun and cool edited. Please keep this style you make me laugh and have greate time when i watch your videos.
I bought the HBX 18859A model off Amazon, and have beat the absolute CRAP out of it. Would love to see what you could do with one. The upgraded model is 2S LIPO standard, brushless, all-metal driveline, aluminum fluid-filled shocks, headlights, etc. It's a tiny little BEAST at the skatepark. I did drill a hole in the bottom of the chassis so I could put a ziptie around the ESC to hold it down. I also destroyed the body mounts and pins, and use high-strength velcro on the sides of the chassis and inside the body to (sort of) hold it on. Still better than the pins. So far all I've done is bent a rear driveshaft but functionally it's intact!
Another great cheap RC is the Carisma GT24B. 1/24 scale line from rally cars to buggies to monster trucks and they're all pretty much indestructible, 8000kv brushless from factory too!
i own 4 of these, although they're now called the 18859. im about to get 2 more cuz they're dirt cheap on ebay, all the ones i own so far have had the oil shock upgrade, and in the summer when i have backyard partys the kids and the non-rc folks have something to drive around one of the backyard rc tracks. and i know they pretty much cant break them... these are also the perfect indoor winter bashers.
I had the buggy version of this one and its good to a point. its fairly quick and easy to handle but after a couple months mine sort of just fell apart so I got the wltoys a959-b as a replacement and its a lot better in my opinion
Kevin put a brushless 7000kv motor in it. Theses things do instant wheelies when you do and it's fast. And also run it on a 2s 40 to 60C lipo battery and its super fast
I also have a Transit however it came with leaking rear shocks, no fluid in the fronts, and far too sensitive steering. Cheap fixables, indeed and I'm working on making it less top heavy. Hope for it to be a half-decent rig once I'm finished with it. Well worth the price if you know how to make it your own.
Will the lipo kill the motor? Curious because i bought one for my daughter with 2 1100mah 2s lipos and wondering if i should invest in a spare motor lol
just got this in the post yesterday. love it so far. definitely going to get a couple more batteries for it. also have redcat landslide xte 1/8 should be in tomorrow
hello mr talbot. i just purchased this little truck and the thing is wicked. but does it charge when the green light is blinking or the red light is blinking? its blinking green and i dont know if its good or bad
get a redcat volcano 1:18 its super fun and good for the winter time for inside we have like 4 of them for each of us and there fun its about $50 us but we got them for $10 us there fun tho
i'd love an xmaxx, but i've never owned any decent RC cars before and at 30 years old i'm getting into it a little late and cannot justify spending xmaxx money right now. could you suggest any good RC cars that are good for beginners and aren't going to break the bank??

Good test. Yeah, more punch with LiPo ☺️
Nordic RC Visions yeah but the brushed motor will weardown faster
@@dawson_c1952 i wonder if it would just be overly powered if you put a brushless system in this
Hiiiiiiiii
Dude I’m actually impressed about this Price Point

I love these little budget trucks, lots of fun for a small price

4:44 what song is that!? 😂
I just bought this and it is the best and it is a lot for your money
The RC bug bit me hard when I (quite accidentally) bought a toy grade Kidz Tech Sand Monster powered by the 390 motor!
Kevin put a brushless 7000kv motor in it. Theses things do instant wheelies when you do and it's fast. And also run it on a 2s 40 to 60C lipo battery and its super fast
Cool video kev!

"You won't believe what I packed for lunch...
...a smashed bell button! ;D"
Headphones😎🔥🔥🔥
Hey kev liked your last four vids comented on your last four vids
That smash a bell made me laugh 😂
I'm assuming it can take some of those hits without breaking since it's so light but still impressive for a cheap RC!
Thanks kev I love the videos you do of the mini 1/18 rc cars :)
That's friggin AWESOME
0:39 and smash the bell XD
You gotta get the HBX 16889a Pro, ye it's 1:16 scale but, it's super tough!
By the way this little rc is actually pretty fast and fun!

Just got one going to put some jumps on the astro at Paddlesworth great review cheers
Nice Kev
Wheres link to lipo that you used and said you would out a link too in description? Great video!
Crazy how fast it is based off the size!
I think that you need to do a speed run on both the original battery and the wltoys battery
hey, nice video.
keep up the good work!
I also have a Transit however it came with leaking rear shocks, no fluid in the fronts, and far too sensitive steering. Cheap fixables, indeed and I'm working on making it less top heavy. OMG KEVIN TALBOT UPLODED 2 IN 1 DAY . GOD EXISTS . JEASUS IS REAL . OIIOOGIGIGI
That jumps not bad for a wee cheapo. Hey kev would be good to see you do a comparison test between the arrma senton blx 6s and your slash 😉👌
Kev how long do you think the monster truck you’re building is going to take
4:24 XD
Great vedio ur fan from India
Hi kevin I just got my xmaxx it’s now my favorite what brand paddles do you think work better?
Is this truck like the Wltoys truck. Which one is better. Over all it looks like a lot of fun
MOONMANMIGZ this one is better than the wl toys if you put a li-po battery in it. Wl toys brakes constantly.
Will the lipo kill the motor? Curious because i bought one for my daughter with 2 1100mah 2s lipos and wondering if i should invest in a spare motor lol
Can you charge the battery with a hobby grade charger threw the balance port?
just got this in the post yesterday. love it so far. definitely going to get a couple more batteries for it.
also have redcat landslide xte 1/8 should be in tomorrow
Are you ever going to build that truck frame?
Great vid
Kev have ever thought about buying a rc drift car or a scale rc or get into rc boats?
OMG! Nice video and fun! BTW Is it possible to do a review with the JJRC Q39? Ty.
What kind of lipo did you put inside of it @kevin talbot
hello mr talbot. i just purchased this little truck and the thing is wicked. but does it charge when the green light is blinking or the red light is blinking? its blinking green and i dont know if its good or bad
does it have lipo cut off? have hyou killed any wl batteries with it ?
Could probably get some friction shock damper grease, won't be as good as oil filled but still better than just a spring.
Try it with 8s
Do you have the old rustler vxl or the new rustler vxl
I got one they are the best thing popping to be small an it's fast an 4×4 1:18 scale rampage .
Seems like a great little truck. Did you break anything at the skate park? If not it's also a durable little truck.
which is better the Wltoys 979? or this HBX Rampage? Im not sure which one to buy.
get a redcat volcano 1:18 its super fun and good for the winter time
for inside we have like 4 of them for each of us and there fun its about $50 us but we got them for $10 us there fun tho
I love your subscribe bit kevo
i'd love an xmaxx, but i've never owned any decent RC cars before and at 30 years old i'm getting into it a little late and cannot justify spending xmaxx money right now. could you suggest any good RC cars that are good for beginners and aren't going to break the bank??
Subscribed And Notified
Sweet
Love the vids
I might have to get one of those little cars
I love that rc 😍😍😍🤩
You seem to really like the dirt cheap r/c cars. Can u review the lite hawk crusher MT😀
I don't see the link to the lipo in the description
Looks like a blast, where can I get one
I remember when cheap rc cars wouldn't even drive on carpet, they've changed a lot
yeh I remember that very well!
Can you put oil filled shocks on this thing?
Yes i have on mine
kevin you should do a review on the red cat racing shockwave nitro buggy its a dirt cheap rc car and it would be a cool toy to review
Can you charge the lipo t with the charger the truck comes with
