Well, what to say about this track! This actually isn't the first time I've worked on this particular song, but it's a favourite of mine and both myself and Merry wanted to make a Forest Elves rendition of it! I'd actually intended for it to be completely instrumental when I first started working on it but I'm so glad things panned out the way they did and we turned it into what it has now become.
This track was composed by my fellow friend and musician, Trevor Crookston, also known as BlazingDragon. We decided to merge ShadowLordArk's original lyrics and Lushia Kyobi's 'hopeless' lyrics to create what we hope to be an uplifting, melodic version!

Another Forest Elves song? Who would have thought that we could put up more than one song in 6 months? What is this sorcery?!
Okay, actually the song has been in a pretty advanced state for quite some time! A very long time ago - I think more than a year even, Jordi and I decided to make a cover of this absolutely amazing song. He made this breathtaking instrumental and I sang to it... and so it had been forgotten, haha. The Forest Elves way.
But after some projects we discovered this little gem between our files and thought that it was time to finish it finally. Jordi even polished his old instrumental and made it even more amazing! And so he sent me his voice recordings and I mixed them in and then... we forgot it again. Until recently when he reminded me that I had to record some harmonies to it. So I did and now it's finally done! :D
Mixing this turned out to be quite a lot of work. But Jordi was so lovely and helped me so much!
He also made this very beautiful video!

Thank you for this. I just started reading Winter Woods and this song fits it perfectly. I love how there is despair and sorrow in the beginning. Then it follows down to hope with the ending.
