I love corduroy! I had a pair of purple ( my fave color) corduroy pants with slip pockets in front when I was 5-7 years old, I loved how soft it was. I haven’t been able to find the same corduroy shade of the purple that I had.
Now I know what to do if I find that shape of purple I’m looking for. Thank you!

Glad I watched this before I started my corduroy skirt, I always forget about the nap, and I always wonder what is a good needle size to use. Thanks for the great timely info!❤

This is great. I’ve seen with corduroy a lot, but as always with your videos and podcasts, I learned some new practical tips

Thank you for explaining why some fabrics need to be washed separately in the washing machine - I see that instruction on ready to wear garment tags sometimes and have always ignored them 😅
Excited for the fabric guides series! Could you add double gauze / bubble gauze to the queue if you haven't already? I have not worked with it before but have some set aside for a Seamwork Almeda robe and am especially nervous about pressing

I’ve seen so many corduroy dresses for fall/winter that I added one to my “to sew list.”
Thank you for the recommendations! I have a mid-wale with lycra and now have a better idea of how to plan that dress. 👏

In the past I've used an offcut / scrap of the corduroy I'm sewing and placed it right sides together with the garment piece as another option for pressing - this probably works the same as using a towel

Thank you for a reminder about corduroy sewing! Is the top you are wearing a Seamwork pattern?

The black top is from several years ago from Doen. Thanks for watching!

I'm not sure, but I would guess a stable mid-weight cord would work well.
