  • In this video I search over 1000 silver dimes and I found rare coins! Mercury dimes were minted between 1916-1945. Every Mercury dime is 90% silver. There are some extremely rare Mercury dimes worth big money including the 1916-D Mercury Dime, the 1921 Mercury Dime, and the 1921-D Mercury dime. The rarest Mercury dime is the 1916-D. There are also some varieties such as the 1942/1 Mercury Dime and the 1945-S Micro S Mercury dime. I searched through all of the Mercury dimes that I own looking for rare coins. I was successful! I have never attempted a coin search like this before and I had a blast doing it. I hope you enjoy my silver dime search!

Came over from the main channel for this one. I haven’t started collecting junk silver yet, but do have a small stack of 40% half dollars I’m working on. I know they’re not worth as much but it’s what I can do right now

You'll get there. Make a budget and throw 20 bucks a week at some dimes. That's 10 dimes a week.

    Love it. Thank you.
I had a full dime collection, including a slabbed 16D graded in AG3 condition.
I bought it for 350US$, and sold it 2 years later for 750US$. Missed out on the "Mint's" W Eagles. I have two full collections, that I got to pick from many rolls. Should have kept it [16D]. My brother-in-law [I call him judas] took the rest of the collection from me. I hate sticky people.
I enjoyed you searching your stack, as I have many times through the varying species of coins, in my collections.
I've been smelting lately, but nothing "precious", just copper, aluminium and brass/tin/zinc [nordic].
Also, and lastly, I really appreciate you sending me to Harry's.
    I really enjoyed those gentlemen.
They offered some very nice specimens.
    Be blessed, my friend.
    👍✌

You came up in my feed randomly, and I started watching.
I've been collecting for 40 years just from what I've gotten in change (not much at all really).
I started stacking Walking Libertys in the 90's, before the coin shop I was buying from went out of business.
My issue now is that there's nowhere or no one to buy from locally. I feel the urge to start stacking more than ever now, but I have nowhere to go.
I'm happy to be a new subscriber to your channel.

Sweet. When i sort, i go you one farther -- i try to finish up by filling whole tubes of each date or maybe two dates per tube, or, at worse, with one decade per tube, like on the teens. I just got into doing it that way back in the 1950s, when you had to roll them and write the dates on the rolls. Other than that, our systems of sorting are similar, and the excitement of discovery is exactly the same.

I don't have tubes for copper cents, but I still mark each paper roll by date and mint mark.

@@cmintsurfer Truth to tell, i got into the clear tubes for cents after i started using them for dimes. They just look cute. I know they cost more than paper, but this is just for my own pleasure and eye-appeal.

I always go through my dimes. Got a 42/41 that CAC graded XF45. Took much more than 1,000 though.
Also, you don’t need a microscope to see it.

You're right comma although a one video comma fun to watch. I have a ton of junk silver from my grandmother collecting it from a Store, she worked at back in The sixties. And just bought A bunch from a buddy who's dad passed away who had a bunch. Time to go through them. Like your list of Good ones... For whatever reason.. I havent research yet. Curious about a short list for regular silver dimes, silver quarters That might be worth a little bit more.

Great vid Dragons! "'28D! That's like $4" got me! Lol. On most live auction websites like HiBid (not paid to mention them), Barbers go for about $4-$6, Mercs for an average around $2-$6, and Rosies average $2-$4. All depending on condition, any of the above for even a super common date in AU condition or better sometimes I've seen in the low teens.

Seriously that initial screenshot by you was stupid and idiotic. I couldn’t even imagine how you would respond to a 1916 D if you even seriously ever thought about the situation if you saw a 1916D dime. It is indeed a very interesting piece but the fact that they are widely known, it should not be taken as a fact.
