I knew just how special a ride Hyperion was when I rode it last year and I am thrilled it appears I am not the only one who has come to that realization.
Well, my wood bracket is toast (steel's still doing pretty good, though). Glad to see this is back as I'm just interested in watching how things shake out.
Your t-shirt answers my question of whether or not CP is continuing their licence deal with Republica. Glad to see they doubled down with a themed shirt! It is mind blowing how many people in the comments on their original video first heard of the song waiting in line for Dragster.
I’ve heard that Renegade has gotten a lot rougher, but when I rode it in 2018 it was phenomenal. I’ve ridden all the GCIs in the U.S. and it’s my favorite, based on those rides.
Valleyfair local here - based on end of season 2023, it’s certainly due for a large bit of re-tracking. It’s not unbearable, but after 3-4 rides you certainly feel some fatigue and some head pain. I think the last large scale track work they did was in 2019. I haven’t gone yet this season, since opening day was last week, so I can’t confirm its current state.
@@FeedYourGreedIt is sad that it’s lost its rerideability. Marathoning that coaster in the dark until park closing is one of my favorite coaster experiences ever (and I’ve been on a lot of coasters).
I also have completed all the GCI's in The US and I have it 4th, right ahead of Prowler and behind GoldStriker (My favorite), Mystic Timbers, and Thunderhead which is really running well.
I just read the lawsuit and I would hardly call "Steel Curtain: their "Flagship" coaster, a designation properly fitting for Phantom's Revenge. SC was an experimental design so no big surprise it would be modified. No different than the first loop on the original Steel Phantom being removed when the trim brakes was not enough to stop the neck & ear injuries from excessive speed going into it. I rode it the opening year so I got the full force of it and that many loops in a row at the end was a bit too much. I'm tall and was able to lean forward but my sister is short so her ears got boxed about a lot by that v-bar. No wonder the many warnings in the queue line to remove any earrings before riding.
Andy it is only getting worse.... Gothem City Escape should join the party next year. Maybe Toutatis. Hyperia has a shot and you spoke too soon about Europa Park because Voltran looks great. Looking forward getting on it in July. Just more Europe.

I love Rutschebanen so much, but for me there’s no way it’s better than Ravine Flyer II, unless we’re judging purely by charm.
But I’m fine with it beating Shivering Timbers, which had the worst potholes of any woodie I’ve ridden, except Conneaut’s Blue Streak.
I haven't rode Rutschebanen but I struggle to see it top either coaster. I actually have Shivering Timbers over Ravine Flyer II but both a real good.
