  • WOOOOW what a great end to a very long weekend!!!!!! The car that was brought into the shop half dead and in 7 months of pretty much just the one day a week and she is breathing fire again. Couple hicups along the way, But we worked through then and got this beast running. Crack a cold one a celebrate with us!!!!!

      No Kidding Jon. We have to remember how light these cars are. At this stage I would say 1700 pounds. I always check the stands when we put cars up, because I had a race car fall on top of me. Lucky for me I was in area under it where I didnt get hurt. LOL

      @@520speedworks6 Installed my engine yesterday in my FFR Roadster. Went in much smoother than I thought it would go.

    Excellent progress. Odd that the distributor would be off 30 degrees having just run when you bought it.

      Well it goes to show you got to be careful who you trust. We only saw a video of it running, when we got there to pick it up there was evidence of a small fire. Nothing damage just fire extinguisher powder. Because the car had been wrecked it would have been too janky to try and start.(i.e alternator wire ripped out of the terminal and bare. Motor had broken free and moved forward 10 inches. Soo we played it safe and didn't try. What we should have done was make sure it was correct when we had it apart.

      LOL Glenn no my Jamaican Safety Sandals are safe and sound back on my feet. It was winter and my toes were cold. We are getting there!

    what went "Poof" at 17:47 while trying to start the engine. i don't remember you saying

      The distributor was not stabbed correctly and gas in the side pipes made a fire ball between my legs. LOL
