Thanks so much PC Monkey, I managed to fix my Lenovo's auto repair sticking issue. Went through all the F buttons like you suggested and found I was able to reset default values, thanks to you I can use my laptop again.. 🥰
Hi! Thank you for this, it has been useful with the boot loop my old Lenovo ThinkPad is in. I have some questions before this step, should I save all my docs into a drive? And, can I do that even if I can't get the computer to start?
Yes, you should back up your data before performing a Factory Reset if you dont want to loose data. However, if you cant get your computer to start, then you wont be able to. If there is data on your Drive that you wish to save, you would have to bring it to a computer shop and have them try to save the data from the drive first.
Urgently need your help please. I have watched many of your videos but no luck. When i restart my computer it goes through the initial load up and then goes a light black. I have done the F12 system reset but even that the PC does not allow. Running out of options and wondering what it could be. Thanks in advanced
there was a tiny button on the Lenovo we found and are rebooting... next to the power plug. Pressed it when in off state and it took us to troubleshoot options. Resetting it now, thanks👍
No. Formatting is clearing out a partition and allowing new DATA to be stored on it. Resetting can do the same thing but can also be expanded to include OS resetting to allow for updated drivers and such. It can also be limited to not delete DATA and only affect settings. What are you trying to do?
How is this method of reset different from doing a factory reset through BIOS? Also would this method resets the system to a clean version of Windows (removing Lenovo drivers and pre-installed apps), or restore the laptop to its original out-of-box state, including Lenovo drivers and software? I got my new ThinkPad several days ago, and I made some mistakes in setting up the new software, instead of trying to figure out how to thoroughly uninstall them and cleaning up the registry, a factory reset seems easier in giving me a clean slate to start over. But I wonder if it is a wise decision in my situation as my system technically has nothing wrong, also I wonder if the drivers and pre-loaded software would be gone after the reset.
Thank you sir. I can reset now my Lenovo laptop. Do you have videos or link about essential softwares that needed to install into the pc after resetting it? Thanks a lot and have a great day ahead! God Bless😊
Glad to hear :) There is no essential software needed for windows 10 to operate safely. If you would like to add things for specific uses you are planning on, then thats up to you :)
Thanks for tutorials: I have reinstalled Windows 10 from usb drive as instructed. Lenovo Yoga 910 laptop is now operable and software loaded, HOWEVER, the shutdown to restart blue screen occurred again but normal operation was restored with auto restart. Is this signalling a hardware issue? SSD replacement? RAM issue? How do I isolate problem further? I am worried that the instability will persist.
Could be an issue with the hard drive. Some Lenovo computers have built in diagnostic software like Dell or HP but most do not :( In that case, you would have to just replace the hard drive and see if that helps
Thank you Jamin. I'm running into the issue of Bitlocker recovery key, how to do I get around this? It's a old company Lenovo ThinkPad that is locked by the company's IT admin and I want to use it for personal use, wipe it clean and I already have Windows 10 on a usb flash drive (from your video). @@GoodVibesalwaysthrive Ok, if you dont have any cloud storage reset etc, then that would not be an option for you. Feel free to post a video to your own channel of what your seeing during the reset and message me back here when you do. I can then view and advise further
In the menu to restore pc with a light blue background (5:34 alike), 2 options appear: 1. delete the drive only where windows is installed 2. delete all drives... what happens if I select option 2 of all drives? is the windows image deleted?
Mine says to free up space but I cant because I cant get into it :(
Yay finally one with out using the novo button ( that I don’t have)
Urgently need your help please. I have watched many of your videos but no luck. When i restart my computer it goes through the initial load up and then goes a light black. I have done the F12 system reset but even that the PC does not allow. Running out of options and wondering what it could be. Thanks in advanced

Is factory reset and format the same?
No. Formatting is clearing out a partition and allowing new DATA to be stored on it. Resetting can do the same thing but can also be expanded to include OS resetting to allow for updated drivers and such. It can also be limited to not delete DATA and only affect settings. What are you trying to do?
I wanna sell my laptop.
@@indica77 Then yes, a factory reset where you choose the 'delete everything' option should work out fine :)
@@PC_Monkey ok Thank you very much
@@indica77 Your welcome !! Happy to help :)
It would not be out-of-box. Many of the apps from the retailor will be gone. It would revert to the factory state

When I hit Skip This Drive, it's just putting me in a loop and not allowing ne to Remove Everything. In the menu to restore pc with a light blue background (5:34 alike), 2 options appear: 1. delete the drive only where windows is installed 2. delete all drives... what happens if I select option 2 of all drives? is the windows image deleted? (or is it in another partition?)
