Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama. Thank you for all the wonders, adventures, memories, and most of all, the joy you have brought the world. Your work opened the door and expose many people to the wonderful world of manga and anime and whether intentional or not, you were a gateway into Japanese culture for many.

I agree and respect this comment. However, you forgot that 'play' is also part of the Kame way. Roshi's style is all about living life to the fullest and not to take things too seriously.
RIP. He might have said that but if I had to guess, most probably the cause of his dead was from overworking and not that well sleeping and it is surely a heavy toll for anybody at the age of 68 when you have less forgiving old organs and body functions. We know the new "Dragon Ball DAIMA" series was on the way and planned to release in fall season 2024. So I believe he was working really hard for that.

A worthy tribute of the legend himself, Akira Toriyama. The industry and culture we live in today wouldn't be the same without that man. You really knocked it out of the park with this cover of the classic, and big thanks for doing it.

truth to be told, i don't think we will ever have another mangaka like Akira Toriyama!
I've always thought Eichiro Oda is on Toriyama's level, but I admit that's a high mark to reach.
I've been such a huge fan of Akira Toriyama and his work for decades now, not just all of the Dragon Ball stuff but also his work on Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger, among others. Losing him so unexpectedly was like getting run over by a truck and I'm still in shock. But this song is great and I think he would have really liked it. I know I do. Thank you for this wonderful tribute and stay safe out there.

Though, I have to ask - is the thumbnail to this video AI-generated? The image just looks kind of off to me. If it is AI generated though, it may be worth changing it to either fanart drawn by another dragon ball fan, or one of the many official renders/illustrations of Goku and Gohan riding on the flying nimbus. I personally feel like having anything related to g-AI wouldn't be the best thing to include in a video intended to be a tribute to such an influential artist and mangaka.
