I’ve watched several of your videos on 4Runners and tried to work a deal with some knucklehead at your dealership a couple days ago via email. What a waste of my time. He said their dealership would not accept a certified check. I had a 4Runner dropped off at my doorstep in Delaware yesterday from a dealer in PA. I paid 8.3% off MSRP. At least your videos helped me choose the trim level and color I wanted.

@@tommannila4686 Team Toyota Of Princeton in New Jersey. I asked the guy if I brought them a Certified Check if I could drive the vehicle home. He told me it was a Toyota policy the checks had to clear first. Two days later I had a Toyota dealer in PA drop off a 4 Runner to my house (no extra charge). I gave the delivery person a Certified Check for maybe 2/3 of the total cost. I then gave him a Person Check (for like $12,600) for the remainder and told them it might be 4-5 days before funds were deposited into my checking and then they could cash the check. ZERO PROBLEMS with the dealer in PA or my purchase. I went to my local dealer (4 miles from my house). They add $1500 worth of BS to EVERY 4Runner they get and also ask for MSRP. I only did test drives at this dealership. Good luck with whatever you do.

My dream vehicle. Finally bought a 2024 TRD Off Road in Dec 2023 for $42K. With TT&L in Washington State it came out to $47K. Whether it's a bad or good deal, it's my last vehicle and fulfilled one of my dreams 😂😊😅. Ready for the mountains!!!

I have the 2023 TRD ORP that has the exact options this one does-except for the moon roof. I paid sticker price for it at $47700. Appears to me that the 2024 versions are going for about $6000 more for the same exact thing. That's quite a steep increase yr over yr. In addition I'm extremely pleased/happy with my 4Runner and have never looked back. If you live in snow country you should rustproof the undercarriage if you plan on keeping it for a long time to preserve the undercarriage/frame from rust. A vulnerable area is the frame...take care of it and it will take care of you. Thanks for a great detailed video on the features of this wonderful vehicle.

@@mrovidio1 Thanks for the inquiry! I bought 7 cans of Blaster Surface Shield, purdchased a large sheet of plastic from Home Depot for about $7, spread it out on my driveway, put a couple of 10x2's on it then drove my 4Runner up on the 2x10's removed the skid plate, and sprayed away into every nook and cranny i could find, totally coating the entire undercarriage to include the frame with Blaster Surface Shield. I could hardly move the next day since I'm 70 but I gott'r done in a couple hours. Dealership wanted $1300 to do the same for who knows what quality? For under $100 I did it all in my driveway. NOTE: VERY messy and you will need a shower afterward but cleanup wasn't bad; all ya do is rollup the plastic and throw it in the trash. Done! I suspect I'll need to redo this every couple years to keep it current. Most people will just let the stealership do it and keep it up - too expensive for me. 5 months down the road I'm still happy with it. Try to do it on a calm day or you'll have overspray all over the place and on your vehicle. I let mine sit in the garage about 3 days afterward to let it 'dry' or set up if you will, before driving. Don't think that's required but it prevents your hard work from blowing away if you drive down the highway at 70mph right afterward.

I feel sorry if you paid sticker price. I had a ‘23 TRD Off-Road Premium dropped off in my driveway Nov 30. I requested the ODP which they dealer promptly sent. I called and questioned the taxes/tags fees (looked a little high). The salesman said these were approximate numbers and a 3rd party handled that. He said he’d get the actual final number for my state. The next day he sent a revised quote which was a $1000 cheaper than day before. I had planned on haggling a little but when the price dropped and he said he’d leave it on the doorstep, felt like a no brainer. Anyway, got the 4Runner for 8.3% below MSRP. A few weeks earlier I had turned down a 4Runner which was 10.52% below MSRP. It had too much fluff I didn’t want. Picked the wife up a ‘24 Subaru Ascent today for 9.2% below MSRP. These are the last vehicles I will ever buy since I’m an old fart with one foot in the grave.

So you spec out a TRD Off-road and it comes with alloy wheels. If you option the TRD wheels, what happens to the wheels that were on the truck you’re buying? You paid for them when you bought the truck. It’s not like the truck comes without wheels. Do they come in the back of the truck? Maybe it’s best to buy the TRD wheels from the dealer afterwards so you get both sets, one for summer and one for winter tires.

why not buy a Pro for 3-4k more? The pro will have the fox suspension which is awesome, 1.5" lift, TRD Pro cat back exhaust, dual climate zones, better tires from the factory, paint match front end with heritage grille, and limited production run for the pros making it rarer and it will hold it's value better. IDK just seems like if you are spending 54k just go 3-4k higher and get the top dog.

While the Dunlop tires are all terrain, they have horrible ratings for wet traction on pavement. The Bridgestone tires are really a pavement tire and the tread is much friendlier to wet concrete and asphalt.
