Sig makes a shoulder collar (sometimes they include it in the box), and it can be used with muzzle devices that require a 90-degree shoulder so the muzzle device is on straight. If you plan to suppress this, you might be at risk of a baffle strike. I can see the shim crinkling and you can't be sure that it's on completely straight. Surefire also recommends Rockset and should have been included in the box.
Sorry to tell you, but you're going to have an issue. On the MCX you need to run a taper adapter if running a non tapered muzzle device. It doesn't stay square if you mount a suppressor.

Nice rifle! But I'd love to see a video, of when you need to change the battery and remove the comp. Red lock tight is a bold move for those applications.
I definitely would have used blue Loctite. Do you need anything? Is that you should have used the SIG shoulder adapter when you put the warcomp on SIG has a tapered barrel and you want to make sure you get a true alignment.
fkn love it bro! excellent taste and good choices. i personally would use a tan crt stock, fde bcm mod 3 grip or the k2 + grip in fde. maybe a surefire brake instead of the warcomp. i hear they lock up easy.
I didnt want a brake since im not going for purely recoil mitigation. I did change the stock to the Midwest Alpha series stock since the sopmod couldnt fold

No i didnt, i have a video using this same method and it just comes right off. The thing some dont know about loctite/rocksett is gradual torque will never do you any good you need to use impact torque to break the threadlocker
@@vietnamtactical as in an impact hammer/wrench? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. I’ve seen people use an absolute rapid boil. As rapid as the boiling can get. They said it in the water for 20 minutes and then it unscrews. Barring that I’ve never seen anyone able to remove it lol

No it doesnt work both ways, ive owned a mk18 and ill tell you the spear is a better investment, it comes with an adjustable gas block so you can run it suppressed without getting gas in your eyes and lungs it is more accurate as well

And now there is only two oprions for me: DDM4A1 or Sig Sauer MCX. Both in .223 with a 14.5” barrel. I need to test them first to see which one is a better fit. But SIG offers much better customer support and spares. We are also neighbours to Switzerland, so it doesn’t cost me that much to just ride to their factory store and buy stuff. Any more suggestions?

Did it myself easily, check out my long form youtube video on how to remove muzzles, it took me less than 10 seconds to do. Even showed it in this video of the muzzle just coming off. All you need is a wrench

You could've used it to keep in a smaller backpack ;( I'm indifferent with your change for grips, but I do love that rubber magpul grip :) Was the change of a flash hider really necessary? You could've got a good muzzle brake :P Optics are clean. Foregrip is aight (would've used dat Daniel Defense Picatany grip :P). And the flashlight... gives the targets the "spotlight" :P

Sometimes I envy americans for being able to get any guns they want and tinker like this, then I remember I could do the same with airsoft gbbrs that work similarly to real guns with a steel bolt that goes back into the buffer tube, but with much less recoil yet still present unlike electric airsoft rifles. Like there's a manufacturer in taiwan that makes super realistic gbbr replicas called viper tech, they're like 1300 to 1500 dollars, so almost just as much as the real things, and they're made using the same materials and even techniques, but they shoot little plastic balls instead of lethal lead going over the sound barrier. Anyways, wouldn't an lpvo be a better option? Like a razor hd or vudu? If not one of those budget vicoptics?
LPVO’s are too brittle and serve no real purpose to me. Extra weight for an optic that would only utilize the minimum and maximum zoom, nobody uses the zooms inbetween

No Eotech LPVO’s suck. In my experience and personal preference I like something I can bang around and offers a more clear sight picture also something that doesnt require me to move my shooting or support arm just to change magnification. If you have a Vudu id sell it and buy a vortex razor hd II 1-6/1-8.

One technical thing: the muzzle device needs to be installed with a taper collar. Sig sells one, and so does Midwest industries. Also loctite shouldn’t be used on the barrel/muzzle. Rockset instead.
No, i use an unusual method of taking muzzle devices and barrel nuts off that works on literally everything, i have a vid on it somewhere everyone whos watched it it worked for

i usually run my spears stock with a foregrip on it. though now that hybrid is locked behind lightkeeper i don't really run it anymore.

I am indeed a left handed shooter but the light is far enough forward that it doesnt get in my way when im handling the switch

Only the big shim thats it, but all threads are milled at a different angle so youll either be lucky or have to keep repeating the shims
