When ordered does it come as a one-stamper with the assumption that you already have a registered SBR lower by the time you receive it? Or do you have to buy it as a two stamper?
@@InferiorRifles As I recall the only "constructive intent" case that ever actually got prosecuted was basically this scenario, someone sold a rifle in a package with a short upper but it was all broken down. Granted the actual lower isn't included. My understanding is that you just can't have a collection of parts that has no other plausible configuration than a SBR. IE you can put it on a pistol and keep the stock as long as you have another long gun you could put the stock on etc.
Can someone please explain why you’d want to remove the buffer and spring from the stock? I would expect this would adversely affect how it shoots. Also what about charging the weapon? Typically the bolt carrier would retract back into the stock where the spring resides. Where will it go now? Has the bolt carrier group been adapted for this type of setup?
@ Thanks! I just had a look at another video with a breakdown of the bolt group and buffer spring and it makes sense now. I hadn’t seen an MCX platform before.
It's an MCX platform upper. They're piston-driven and have their own recoil spring assembly built into the BCG. No need for a traditional AR-style buffer/spring system because that's only used with DI guns.
What's the point in talking apart a good rifle when you can get the lower, trigger assembly, bolt assembly, buffer, and buffer spring? That way, you'll have two rifles instead of one and a bunch of parts. Obviously, you have to get a new bolt assembly or at least a new bolt carrier? Real question.
@InferiorRifles oh, ok. So other than demstration purposes, if someone was gonna do this build, it would be easier the just buy the lower assembly, is that correct? I've never built a gun. I'm kinda wandering it I even want to or just buy complete ones like I have been.
@InferiorRifles thank you so much. Is it possible to buy this adapter alone? Or just with the kit? While we are at it. Do you know any adapter on the market that allows you to fold the AR15 stock and shoot with it folded that accepts ACR/SCAR/MBT stocks?
forgive my ignorance - is that a kit to AK an AR? I thought that dick-sized spring in the rear was the main cycling action on an AR, but it looks like he put an AK gas cycling system on it. also, I didn't google anything before leaving this comment
The slim version without the stupid honeycomb suppressor shroud looks SO much better, lol. Helps that it's lighter weight, too. I don't get the requirement for the shroud, most soldiers/operators are wearing gloves like 90% or more of the time anyway, and it's not like they'd be taking the can off a lot, if at all.
I guess the new HD is better but don't like sacrificing that qd even though a qd mount can easily be added. Still would've kept the suppressor cover though. Thinking about trying that magpul monstrosity. Just ad big as that thing but there's supposed to be no mirage. Wonder how that cover does?
