I feel you, man. I went through exactly the same thought process and ended up with the same camera, the M10-D. It’s simple, it’s a camera that wants to be picked up. You look at it and you get the urge to go out and enjoy shooting. That’s pricey but it’s such a pleasure to use. Next step for you: a Leica monochrom.
Congrats on the purchase! I love the concept of this thing but it's so rare. Only thing I would change is make the lever actually reset the shutter like the Epson RD1 Digital Rangefinder of yore.
I've wanted the M10-D since it was announced, but I've never had the opportunity to afford one. Coming from a Leica film shooter, this camera just seems like the perfect tool to capture everything without having to worry about capturing it. Glad you found a digital that works for you, and I hope to join you one day as an M10 user, but I think I'll have to stick to my IIIf and my MD-2 in the mean time. There's just always something that feels right about taking photos when you have a Leica in your hands that's hard to explain to photographers who don't shoot Leica.
My man, no need to apologise for how you decided to spend your money. I shoot Fujifilm, Leica, and LUMIX. It's my money and I buy the gear that best fits what I'm attempting to do for fun and professionally. The M10-D is a great camera. I'm picking up the M10-P next year to replace my CL. I need another full-frame camera to run with my S5. I only use M glass so I don't have to worry about having so much different glass for different systems. Different systems, same glass. Great choice. I look forward to seeing what you create with it.
I love my M10-D, it's by far my favorite camera and the one that comes with me almost everywhere. Great video I love to see content on it because it doesn't get as much love as it should. I would like to discuss your dislikes mentioned in the video and how you're using the camera. I get a full day easy out of mine (if not more) with the sleep time set to 10min. The great killer of the battery on the M10-D is the wifi mode and the visoflex if you use one will kill it even faster. You can change the sleep time using the FOTOs app, I think the options are 2, 5, and 10min or off entirely. I've talked to a few people who actually turn theirs off and none have had battery life issues. It doesn't stop me from carrying a spare but that's more out of habit thanks to my Sony's lol.
I have a M10D as well and it can last multiple days out. I don’t « overshoot » anyway because this camera made me think my photos more. I catch myself not even taking some pictures because I know they would be dull, because the composition or the light wouldn’t be interesting. Coming from a A7ii, I really think the M10D made me grow as a photographer. Even though I was using my Sony with a fixed 35mm and only in manual focus. Some items really trigger creativity, and the M10D does just that for me. Also, I always want to take it out ! More time with the camera, more experience, you eventually get better. Cheers from France !
Hi Matt, once you set the sleep timer to only two minutes you can leave it and use the camera for days… In the beginning of my use I often used the wifi. That drains the battery off fast. Not only because of that, but the pure use of the camera is like a M7 just making pictures now I never use the wifi. As in former years I produce, better exposure, the dngs in LR often after days or weeks. This is also another experience, therefore nowadays I never use the wifi. So with the sleeping mode 2 sec I can use the camera for almost a week…Less is not more, it´s all. Have fun…
Love what you love man! Honestly I think you went the right route by renting first just to see if you vibe with it. I know it's not digital, but feel about the same comparing my Nikon N75 to my F2. I can use a TON of auto features with the N75 and use the latest and sharpest lenses that are out there. But the feel, look, heft, and flow of the F2 just keeps me reaching for it all the time. I have a coming trip to Cancun, and originally got the N75 for it but really considering clearing a little more room for the F2 instead.
Congratulations Ribsy! The M-10D or the MD Typ 262 are my dream digital cameras as I shoot with a M6. I've shot with Fuji as my main digital camera for years but I've grown tired of menu diving and settings I don't even use. I'm not rich or wealthy in anyway what so ever, but I feel people hate on Leica because they can't afford it and see it as a "snooty rich mans club" that looks down on other photographers, but I don't feel thats the case at all. When you hold and use one, your mind clicks and you just get it... its an experience that one other camera brand produces but Leica. I hope to bump into you one day in South London with my M10D or MD262 around my neck hahaha
Update: Ok so I ended up buying a Leica M-P240 and I'm extremely happy with it. The M-D models would be great, but I just leave the screen off and feels no different. :)
Honestly this is the only digital camera im lusting after haha I know you can just turn off the screen on any other digital camera - but thats not the same man! Congrats on the new camera!
@@ribsy Imagine if Fuji made something like this - but more affordable! That would be sick. But the dont have the lenses to back it up though. They need native manual lenses! ... well im getting off track here haha

Every time I held one of these in a store I wanted to steal it. This is literally the only camera that I would upgrade my M10 to. Congratulations on me being just absolutely jealous to the max. Love it.
Congrats Ribsy and good on you! You wanted it, you bought it, end of. One of the Leica boys here (M4) and when I can afford to, I'd love to get an M10-D. Enjoy living the dream, man.
Congrats on your purchase Ribsy. The M10-D is my ultimate camera, I owned one briefly but had issues with spots showing when using the spot removal tool in LR, clicking on Visualise Spots made the image look like astro photography even though the sensor had been cleaned several times. It broke my heart having to return it for a refund but I will own one again next year. The experience of using the camera is, imho, priceless and the dng files are superb.
I don't think anyone buys a Leica for the specs. I have a Lecia CL. It doesn't stand up to other in it's class for specs but the build quality and user experience is great. Overpriced but fun to use. I think that's the point it makes you want to go out and use it.
Looks great. Question: Can you view the taken image through the viewfinder? A screen doesn't suit me as I am slightly long sighted but it would be nice to be able to preview. Cheers.
The viewfinder isn't electronic, so no image preview on the camera at all. The closest you can get is connecting the camera to your smartphone and see images via the Leica Fotos app
Complains about film getting too pricey. Buys camera costing several thousands of dollars. Jokes aside, this is one of the few digital cameras that actually intrigues me (also the Fuji x100v). But for that kind of money I can buy a hell of a lot of film.
I’m glad Leica makes a camera like this for people, like you, who enjoy shooting without being able to quickly view images. I’d like to try using one, although I don’t think it would be the camera for me.
What a beauty! No camera feels better in the hand than a Leica M. I’m especially fond of the chubbier M typ 240, as my battery lasts forever! I’d love to find an M10-D eventually, but they seem pretty rare.
I think the D is from the original no-display camera was just called the M-D (like the M-P but digital). The next version was the "M-D Type 240" but they just didn't put the type 240 on the camera. It seems they decided to add the 10 to this one for some reason... i'm not 100% sure on all this, but from what i've read that seems to be the case. Either way, i'm jealous..lol.. I want one.
Great video, fantastic to see you visiting Margate (I instantly recognised the multicoloured doors on the arm by the steps) hopefully you visit again in the summer.
It’s a beautiful camera. But what about a Fuji XPro3 that gives you the choice of the screen. Or even just switching the screen off on any digital camera? Great video.
If you know you know.. there is no middle ground with this camera, you either get it or you don't. The only thing that I wonder about the M10-D and MD 262 is how do you easily calibrate a viewfinder when it gets bumped out. Not impossible but its not as easy as say an M10 with a screen. Other then that its a perfect digital camera in my eyes.
just gotta search online. very few pop up for sale

I wish they made the wind-up lever functional with the shutter, it would’ve added more to the authentic feeling of analog photo taking and probably extended the battery life. I hope to afford the M10-D one day.
I recently bought a used Leica CL. I always wanted to own a Leica camera. I absolutely love it and I understand why many people have a very high opinion about the brand. The colours of the photos are beautiful and look very natural. The image quality is stellar. The build quality is also extremely good. I think I would love to try a Leica camera like yours, but I would struggle only with a couple of things: the absence of a display to view the photos after taking them and the fact that it has no autofocus system. I wear glasses and I always struggled with manual focus. Apart from that the camera looks great and solid and the picture quality is stunning. I live in the UK, where are you based? Manu
Congrats on your digital Leica and glad you are enjoying it. I don’t know much about that version but based on the specs you mentioned I wonder what drove u in that direction vs a ‘240 version. Since moving to film, I miss the colors my M240 produced(no regrets though). Was it ISO performance or perhaps better aesthetics?
I have noticed that as well, the film renaissance started around 2017 and hit its peak about 2019. Over the past few years film prices have been insanely rising since 2020. I’m seeing more and more digital cameras selling great now such as the X100 series and Leica D-Lux series. Do I think film is dying? No. But I do think people are starting to move back toward digital photography.
Great run down bro. As you know, I also journeyed into Leica territory and loved how it felt and looked as well. But you know, I realize I turned to film initially for the “feeling” and found that the Leica file actually don’t have have that feeling at all. It brought me back to my days of editing my digital images to have a bit more soul. For my EDC I wound up getting the Ricoh GR2. It offers the convenience of stealth and size and has built in filters that are incredible. They also focus on highlight weighted metering which allows for a more filmic feel in the end
They should really make the film rewind lever functional by corking the shutter for the total experience. This is what the Epson did to its RD-1, and that 's based on a Voigtlander Bessa body.
I use my fuji x100v in this way. I turn the back screen off, use the optical view finger, treat my SD card like film and check the photos at the end of the day. I would love this camera
I have n=neither hate nor love ... I am always happy when someone finds a photographic tool that works for them!!! I use 90% analog and 10% digital at this point in my life ... works for me ... whatever works for you is cool!!!
At first I balked at the sensor size but I did the math real quick and you can print around 20"x13" (3:2 ratio) at 300dpi so that's not bad. The fake advance lever is just silly, though.
Does the advance lever move? Honestly, I was mostly curious about this lever specifically. I watched the whole video and read all the comments to hear something about it! >< More information please
I have that lens on my m2.... I love it. I've been struggling to shoot film as much these days. I was considering selling most of my film gear and trying to pickup an m240. I'd keep the m2 as its trippled in price since I got it
It's a lovely camera but if you're in South London and want to play with an Epson R-D1 with a broken LCD - basically an APS-C CCD M10-D - let me know because the reds are amazing! Also have another with a working LCD but it's fun to keep the reveal until I get home. xD
I love a Leica and love this option. Curious though, why not Fujifilm? I'm over here, mouthwatering, thinking about the X100V or the XE4! Both rangefinder style digital cameras, 24MP, the V is meant to be more of a street photographers dream, both do video too! Very much fully featured and capable cameras. Both, in my opinion, sexy looking cameras. Sure, not on the level of a leica, but what is? Also, I know it's a little bit of a gimmick, but the film simulations don't look half bad either! Curious to hear your thoughts on this Ribsy! Cheers from California!
Great camera and good decision based on what feels best for you. After watching this I'm tempted to put some black tape over the screen on my M9 and call it the M9-D 😁. I find I still chimp too much even with the crappy screen..
Damn! You got my dream camera. Congrats man, you're killin it. Actually, I have a question a bout getting the most out of a Leica camera. I've read comments of other photographers saying it's more important getting a Leica lens rather than an M digital body, Does the lens make a huge difference? 'Cause I'm looking to get into the Leica M system but I don't know what should I invest first: An "old" M Body with a Summicron or an M-P digital (which in my vain opinion looks awesome) with a Voigtlander
Funny how some film youtubers are talking more and more about digital cameras after the news that Kodak prices will rise in 2022. But gee, buying a digital Leica after saying film is (getting more and more) expensive is like talking about how hard it is for you to fill your Mercedes up with gasoline and then buying a Ferrari almost on a whim. You do you, but since money doesn't seems to be a problem, were I you, I'd pack a crazy amount of films instead of that M10 + lense. But I'm not, so good for you !
Well fair play, as I’ve said before I shoot both film and digital. Funnily I always have the preview turned off on my d200 as I very rarely use it. Something that is a throw back from film I suppose. I’m not a Leica person, nothing against them just never bothered with them. Most of my film and digital is Nikon so fully interchangeable between F and D. That is nice though and I completely understand why you bought it, it is a filmless film camera. Ideal for those days when you just want to shoot and print when you haven’t the time to process and wet print. I never use film for any of my freelance work but if you are like me you will struggle to get the feel you want artistically from digital. Enjoy it, it looks a great bit of kit.
Leica to a photographer is like a katana sword to a samurai, it becomes part of your soul more you use it. i used many brands last 20 years. none of them had that feeling for me. they were just tools really. Leica is special no doubt.
This digital Leica is more nearer to the film Leicas. One thing I do hate about digital cameras is that they have to many bangs and whistles that are hardly used and you don’t need. Yes you can turn them off but if they weren’t there in the first place the cameras would be lighter! I know what you mean about looks- simple, minimalistic and 😎. Always good engineering in a Leica. People who hate Leicas are the ones who don’t have one😂 Leicas won’t make you a better photographer, Leica have never said they would but like buying a expensive car instead of a cheap small car that just gets you from A to B, or an expensive guitar than a cheap one, there is a difference in quality and how it feels to play or drive.
@@ribsy me too!😂 I remember seeing them in a photo magazine and saying that I cant afford them!- now I have 3 film ones and I except they’re rangefinders and different from other cameras. I have to say I took to the CL right away. Need to spend more time with the iii and the M3 but I do love my other cameras but you can tell the quality with a Leica and you know they’re built to last. Money wise they are dear but then so are Canons and Nikons
It's a brilliant idea to take a purist path. This could have been my gate way to Leica ecosystem but that 3 second wakeup speed is a deal breaker for me (and I'm sure for many of us). Missing an opportunity to capture because of hardware is a huge deal let alone an expensive gear released now when even cheap Chinese camera get almost instant wakeup and ready. This flaw show Leica either 1) was not 100% sure about this direction so they cut corners in components making it slow or 2) they like it so much they decided to dumb it down so that they can keep customer in the upgrading (this is really evil)
this seems like a great camera for someone who often gets into trouble taking photos when theyre not supposed to be and then claiming the photo can't be deleted lol
I like the concept of the simple digital camera, no menus, manual focus, etc. great for photographers invested in the Leica world. As someone heavily invested in the Nikon world, I would love something like an Original Nikon F but shooting digital. Nikon has put their toe into these waters twice now but in neither try have they come up with a camera that satisfies that itch. Too gimmicky with screens, menus, etc. I don’t really expect them to ever produce anything like what I’m looking for within the remainder of my lifetime so I guess I’ll do without.
I have a double stroke M3 and I can swear on my life there isn't a better camera in this world. but Leica's making all these screen less digital cameras way too seductive lately LOL.
Ok I'll go ahead and say it, now that sir, is what what I would call a bad a$$ necklace. ;) Congrats on your purchase and I look forward to seeing the magic that comes out of that sucker.
Yeah I agree, it's hard to not flex a Leica. Can't even call it a humble brag if you try to be conspicuous about it haha. I do let my friends and others that really want to check it out hold it to get a feel for it.
I think there's a contradiction here you need to resolve. Personally I'm a bit disappointed. Certainly, I'm not giving digital up either, but dropping around 5k on a Leica is a little hard to swallow. So for me you are now on probation until that contradiction is resolved
Even if I had that kind of money right now in my pocket...for that price I could buy a Fujifilm GFX100s. Or several X-Pro3's. Or a whole bucket of film cameras. Or whatever. All of them with lenses. I mean, I am a passionate photographer, but giving so much money for a single camera doesn't seem reasonable to me. Not if it doesn't crap money on the other end, if you know what I mean. But than agin, that's only my perspective. If it works for you, great!
For me this is the best digital M ever. Amazing image quality and the closest experience to shooting a film M. Sometimes I pop a 1GB sd card in the camera so you only get about 40 DNG files 😉
You don’t buy any Leica for value for money. You buy one for the emotional connection, my 3 regular 35mm shooters. F3, M3 and Retina IIC are all that same reason.
Buying a Leica is not rational, but buying the latest Sony/Canon/Nikon over and over again is not for most people either. As a sports photographer and landscape photographer, there are cameras that are much better. But no digital camera comes close to an analog Feelling, so the 24M are also perfectly adequate. For street photography or if you take your time, the experience of taking pictures is just as important as the result. Besides, it's everyone's own fault if the photo doesn't turn out well and not the camera... About the price, it corresponds to the depreciation in the first year if you buy a car from the upper middle class.... It is unique in its simplicity, who likes this has his joy.
Leica for ever !! I agree with what you said, the feeling , the look, and the whole leica hype. It is what it is and when you buy leica you get what you paid for. Cool vid 👍
If you want a camera that make Videos. Buy a nikon, sony or other brand. Leica is what it is a camera that take photos and that is what i love about it.
I agree that many Leicas are beautiful and are great to hold. But, and at their prices they should be ashamed, when it comes to electronics, they are many years behind. Plus, in my experience, the electronics break down completely after a few years. For me, the viewfinders that are mostly mechanical are the only ones that I would to take along on a vacation. And don’t expect to use a flash very much. Be aware that the excessive price is for the pleasure of handling, not for the superior quality of the image.
Good to hear your thoughts but allow me to be a contrarian. I shoot digital and film (Leica m3 and occasionally MP). Digital is primarily for 'scientific' work (astro, macro, breakfast, lunch and dinner shots - I live in Japan). Incidentally I carry the Leica on a wrist strap with black tape hiding all identifying marks. Leica was sleeping when digital came along, like a Harley they just appeal because of the image. Compared to say a Sony a7riii it loses on no evf, no eye focus, rubbish battery, etc etc. Please go back to your Leica film camera!!!
Would not mind having a leica at some point in life. But right now there is no way for me to justify the cost of owning a leica. Everyone who has one please have fun with it or give it to me if you don't like it anymore :)

It’s a beautiful camera. But what about a Fuji XPro3 that gives you the choice of the screen. Or even just switching the screen off on any digital camera? Great video.
Yea. Xpro3 is cool. I considered it
If you know you know.. there is no middle ground with this camera, you either get it or you don't. The only thing that I wonder about the M10-D and MD 262 is how do you easily calibrate a viewfinder when it gets bumped out. Not impossible but its not as easy as say an M10 with a screen. Other then that its a perfect digital camera in my eyes.
good point! let's hope mine doesn't have an issue
Where can I buy this?
just gotta search online. very few pop up for sale
I wish they made the wind-up lever functional with the shutter, it would’ve added more to the authentic feeling of analog photo taking and probably extended the battery life.
I hope to afford the M10-D one day.
I don’t mind it just being there for nothing 😀
Manu
Yea the cameras are built very well. Always quality
Congrats for the SL Benfica shirt!
The camera itself! Also it’s “newer” lol
Due to the rising price of film I start seeing channels that focuses on film started buying digital cameras now. We've come full circle man.
yea, its def happening a bit. but its also been the case for a while even before. my first love was digital ☺️
@@ribsy Yea for sure man. I stopped shooting my Pentax 67 for a month now and got me a Fuji GFX.
Yea man. I didn’t touch on it too much but the files def don’t have film soul. For that I’ll shoot film 😂😅
@@ribsy haha you right! The film look is for film
Gorgeous camera!
Q: When in auto mode, does it have exposure compensation? Is that what the dial on the back is for?
You can use the dial on the back for that!
They should really make the film rewind lever functional by corking the shutter for the total experience. This is what the Epson did to its RD-1, and that 's based on a Voigtlander Bessa body.
yea that old epson camera is pretty cool. id love to get my hands on it
I really like the minimalist film-style design. But a more affordable variant like a similar Canonet Giii would be very nice.
Yea more affordable would be nice 😂
I use my fuji x100v in this way. I turn the back screen off, use the optical view finger, treat my SD card like film and check the photos at the end of the day. I would love this camera
thats dope! i still have my eye on one of those
@@ribsy I have a feeling you would love it. The film simulation from fuji x weekly add alot too
I prefer the lever function as digital shutter winder.
Loving the shirt, man. Repping my team the right way
yessir!
Seriously bruh? Just get a Fuji and put some black tape over the logo. Love the channel! Keep banging bro!
Haha the tape woulda done the trick
I have n=neither hate nor love ... I am always happy when someone finds a photographic tool that works for them!!! I use 90% analog and 10% digital at this point in my life ... works for me ... whatever works for you is cool!!!
yea im starting to shift more to digital. id say 70/30 film
At first I balked at the sensor size but I did the math real quick and you can print around 20"x13" (3:2 ratio) at 300dpi so that's not bad. The fake advance lever is just silly, though.
Haha I like the lever
Does the advance lever move? Honestly, I was mostly curious about this lever specifically. I watched the whole video and read all the comments to hear something about it! >< More information please
I have that lens on my m2.... I love it.
I've been struggling to shoot film as much these days. I was considering selling most of my film gear and trying to pickup an m240. I'd keep the m2 as its trippled in price since I got it
wow thats a huge increase!
@@ribsy yeah got it on ebay in 2015 for £300...edit. I just checked the prices on ebay. Holy shit haha
It's a lovely camera but if you're in South London and want to play with an Epson R-D1 with a broken LCD - basically an APS-C CCD M10-D - let me know because the reds are amazing! Also have another with a working LCD but it's fun to keep the reveal until I get home. xD
i would love to! i hear great things about that camera
went for the camera, but the Benfica shirt killed my intentions on 2 secs... just buy a decent Fc Porto shirt and I will return 🤣🤣
😂🤣
congratulations! It slows you down just like film and it feels & looks great
yea it does! a nice hybrid blend
Nothing against Fuji - this particular Leica is just too beautiful. Couldn’t get over it - plus I like the no screen
Fujis are fully loaded with specs and stuff. It's all about NOT to have all this.
Great camera and good decision based on what feels best for you. After watching this I'm tempted to put some black tape over the screen on my M9 and call it the M9-D 😁. I find I still chimp too much even with the crappy screen..
hahaha not having the screen is nice
The lenses retain their value forever basically. But in my case, the camera was more important. I bought the m10d because of its unique design
I have an M10_p and a leather case that covers the screen a cheaper alternative but stops you chimping
That works! Haha
such a nice shirt! the glorious Benfica!! keep it up! 🤙🤙
haha everyone loves the shirt
Leica M10-D(amn that’s expensive!!!)
Hahahaha I think you are right
Funny how some film youtubers are talking more and more about digital cameras after the news that Kodak prices will rise in 2022. But I'm not, so good for you !
people complain about the cost of gas and then get a tesla. makes sense to me 😀
The sleep mode is annoying, but you can change this setting in the fotos app. Problem solved :)
ahh thanks for the shout. will do so!
It looks like its got a film advance lever on it.
Yea that’s it!
Yea this camera is fun to use! That’s what matters
@@ribsy that’s what is all about, as long as you get enjoyment that’s all that matters
Leica to a photographer is like a katana sword to a samurai, it becomes part of your soul more you use it. i used many brands last 20 years. none of them had that feeling for me. they were just tools really. Leica is special no doubt.
thats strong
Hahaha I was prob one of those Leica haters in the past
@@ribsy me too!😂 I remember seeing them in a photo magazine and saying that I cant afford them!- now I have 3 film ones and I except they’re rangefinders and different from other cameras. I have to say I took to the CL right away. Need to spend more time with the iii and the M3 but I do love my other cameras but you can tell the quality with a Leica and you know they’re built to last. Money wise they are dear but then so are Canons and Nikons
Great t-shirt! It’s from the Leica of football - Benfica!!
LOL good metaphor
"WHEN I WEAR THIS CAMERA" :) :) I basically shoot Nikon Digital these days, BUT I own a few Leica... And I agree with that Feeling :) :) :)
Yup 😃
It's a brilliant idea to take a purist path. This could have been my gate way to Leica ecosystem but that 3 second wakeup speed is a deal breaker for me (and I'm sure for many of us). Missing an opportunity to capture because of hardware is a huge deal let alone an expensive gear released now when even cheap Chinese camera get almost instant wakeup and ready.
This flaw show Leica either 1) was not 100% sure about this direction so they cut corners in components making it slow or 2) they like it so much they decided to dumb it down so that they can keep customer in the upgrading (this is really evil)
I think you can change the setting on the camera
It’s the best camera. I have a bunch of cameras but when I leave my house or travel or fun or family thats what I take.
agreed! its just great to always have with me
The great news is that there are several third party lens manufacturers that offer high quality lenses for your camera!
Enjoy your new friend!
Yea def! Any glass will do tho haha
Love Leica, but not the D. instead I got the P. it is really unique in the way it takes pictures.
P and D are prob very similar image quality. Enjoy
this seems like a great camera for someone who often gets into trouble taking photos when theyre not supposed to be and then claiming the photo can't be deleted lol
haha good point! its also dense it case you have to fight 😂
I don’t really expect them to ever produce anything like what I’m looking for within the remainder of my lifetime so I guess I’ll do without.
yea agreed! the simplicity is what i love
I have a double stroke M3 and I can swear on my life there isn't a better camera in this world. but Leica's making all these screen less digital cameras way too seductive lately LOL.
hahah they really are seductive!
Ok I'll go ahead and say it, now that sir, is what what I would call a bad a$$ necklace. ;) Congrats on your purchase and I look forward to seeing the magic that comes out of that sucker.
haha indeed. best jewelry i have
Yeah I agree, it's hard to not flex a Leica. Can't even call it a humble brag if you try to be conspicuous about it haha. I do let my friends and others that really want to check it out hold it to get a feel for it.
lol yup!
Big boys and their toys. Love it. I tell my wife it's still cheaper than a boat payment.
LOL no lies detected
I think there's a contradiction here you need to resolve. Personally I'm a bit disappointed. Certainly, I'm not giving digital up either, but dropping around 5k on a Leica is a little hard to swallow. So for me you are now on probation until that contradiction is resolved
lol whut?
Even if I had that kind of money right now in my pocket...for that price I could buy a Fujifilm GFX100s. Or several X-Pro3's. Or a whole bucket of film cameras. Or whatever. All of them with lenses. I mean, I am a passionate photographer, but giving so much money for a single camera doesn't seem reasonable to me. Not if it doesn't crap money on the other end, if you know what I mean. But than agin, that's only my perspective. If it works for you, great!
word
You do you my man. Enjoy
hell yea! 💪🏽
lovely camera but. I am not brave enough to pick up this camera...
hahaha sometimes i worry too
For me this is the best digital M ever. Amazing image quality and the closest experience to shooting a film M.
Sometimes I pop a 1GB sd card in the camera so you only get about 40 DNG files 😉
yea it is. i kinda regret selling it haha
@@ribsy can always get the M11D!
You don’t buy any Leica for value for money. You buy one for the emotional connection, my 3 regular 35mm shooters. F3, M3 and Retina IIC are all that same reason.
Now I know this!
I get you my man.
I happens to all of us one way or another
haha yup
Got to love Leicas… and Benfica!
yessir!
Today was the perfect combination!!! A Leica camera and the SL Benfica shirt lol lol
Great video, great camera !
Hahah glad you enjoyed 🤟🏽
Yea def. This camera is unique
Leica for ever !! I agree with what you said, the feeling , the look, and the whole leica hype. It is what it is and when you buy leica you get what you paid for. Cool vid 👍
Yea you def pay for hype haha
I want that camera so bad but jesus i couldnt even afford it after selling my current digital setup 😭😂
LOO it def isnt cheap
If you want a camera that make Videos. Buy a nikon, sony or other brand. Leica is what it is a camera that take photos and that is what i love about it.
lol fair enough
all about that black and white only life
word! i haven't done any conversions yet with images from this camera. need to get on that
Leica BOOIII'S! LOL hype to see what you create with that beast!
yesssirrrr 🤟🏾
I agree that many Leicas are beautiful and are great to hold. But, and at their prices they should be ashamed, when it comes to electronics, they are many years behind. Plus, in my experience, the electronics break down completely after a few years.
For me, the viewfinders that are mostly mechanical are the only ones that I would to take along on a vacation. And don’t expect to use a flash very much. Be aware that the excessive price is for the pleasure of handling, not for the superior quality of the image.
Haha yea it does feel like they are behind sometimes
Good to hear your thoughts but allow me to be a contrarian. I shoot digital and film (Leica m3 and occasionally MP). Digital is primarily for 'scientific' work (astro, macro, breakfast, lunch and dinner shots - I live in Japan). Incidentally I carry the Leica on a wrist strap with black tape hiding all identifying marks. Leica was sleeping when digital came along, like a Harley they just appeal because of the image. Compared to say a Sony a7riii it loses on no evf, no eye focus, rubbish battery, etc etc. Please go back to your Leica film camera!!!
i don't have any leicas anymore
@@ribsy ok, any film camera will do!
Would not mind having a leica at some point in life. But right now there is no way for me to justify the cost of owning a leica. Everyone who has one please have fun with it or give it to me if you don't like it anymore :)
The cameras are legit but overpriced
It comes down to this, if you love photography, and you can afford it, Leica is the only way to go.
Haha Leica fans don’t play
I like the idea but I’m poor so I’ll just put tape over my screen lol
I love everything about this camera except that it costs so much, and the pointless advance lever.
haha fair enough!
Nice camera.
Gracias
It must be nice...
lol it is 😀
If you got the cash, you got the flash!
LOL
Benfica ❤
Si!
Leica made the wifi capabaility bad on purpose yeah sure lol...
😂 lol
Color me jealous….
haha sorry!! there is always hope
They’re such a massive ripoff! I’d definitely buy one if I had the money though
LOLOL i feel you
BENFICA !!
Wepa!
Leica users are out of mind, and I know, i never tried one but everything I see and heard about it, is just all about the red dot....
LOL mine doesn't even have a red dot
the question is: why this shirt? :(((
Lol sorry
@@ribsy its just a joke, Im a fan of the FCP team, the biggest rival ir SLB 😂😂
