I got back from Hong Kong this morning whilst I was there to see family we also went to Disney for the fifth time in that park but unfortunately when we were going to watch the avengers show it got cancelled
Welcome guys to China . - China is safe country . - go to the bund . Amazing view also free of cost . - china infrastructures are great . - green cars platforms means electric . Blue platforms means normal engine . - have a good time in Shanghai .

No way! Thats really cool! It was a very smooth flight 😃 The longest and most stressful travel day we’ve ever had, totally worth it though because Shanghai Disneyland was amazing!!
As a foreigner who have just visited Xi An last week, understand your excitement. China has super infrastructures and the facilities are new and clean. Only weak point to be improved is some people's behaviors in public space, such as jump queue and smoke indoors.
Loved it and well done staying so calm amidst all that uncertainty by virgin staff , I would have been annoyed they didn’t know exactly what forms etc you needed
We had a saying for this trip and that was “embrace the chaos” think that’s the reason we stayed as calm as we did! 😆 We knew with this kind of big adventure it wouldn’t be all plain sailing!
Love your videos, China looks great. How about a "Tips for China travel" video? Like what APP to use, things you learn would make China travel easier! It'll be popular & help lots of people!
Went to Hong Kong before it was handed back to China, such a fascinating city and so much to see. You won’t have a language problem as most speak English as they’re taught it in school. We also took a trip to a primary school out in the sticks where we were shown around and the kids put on a show dancing and we were invited to join in. I’ll never forget those memories. Enjoy every moment 🤗🏴
English is taught in mainland China and has been for years. They start learning in primary school, so a lot of the younger generation can speak some level of English. The problem is a lot are not confident speaking it with a foreigner especially an English speaker.
Again brilliant video. You guys need to do future videos on long haul family travel to non usual places for U.K. families. That’s your USP. Ange is a star, I can’t get Mrs Wakeywarrior on camera or the kids ! Liked the modem noise.
Well done for doing your research. Of course, you will never know the details of every single step, but you obviously prepared well. I can’t believe how many other travel vloggers don’t even do the basic research on the country they’re going to. Bit puzzling when we’ve got access to so much info on the web. Doing so, I planned my family’s entire trip to Japan in 2017. I will be doing the same when I hopefully get to travel to China sometime in the future.
Unfortunately we only had a few days so didn’t have much time to explore at all. The reason for this trip was to finish the three Disney parks we haven’t been to in Asia. We will be back in the future to explore more co the country ☺️

Thank you so much for posting this. We are leaving next week on nearly the EXACT same itinerary. We are starting in Orlando but it's on Virgin, transferring in London, going to Shanghai, doing the 144 hour transit Visa, staying at the Toy Story hotel, and then taking Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong. Glad to see despite some snags you made it through. Hopefully no issues for us. Our biggest difference is we have one night at a different hotel first, but I have all the hotel stuff printed and as long as they are both in Shanghai it should be fine. The middle names thing is a little worrying. Don't think I can fix that but looks like you made it anyway.
You’re going to have the best time! Safe travels and enjoy! Even with the few little snags we are so so so glad we went and would 100% go again! Just be prepared for the jet lag that first day, we couldn’t cope past 4 and literally were in bed by 5pm 🙊
@@TheKershawsAdventures Our first day is in city. Staying on Nanjing rd. By People's Park. Then moving to toy story for 3 nights (hopefully not confusing for customs. I got it all printed). We are gonna try like hell to stay up to see the city lights. Might be able to sleep better on plane as it's an even longer journey for us starting in Orlando. I have low confidence in MCO agent handling the "Hong Kong is China" thing quickly so we will get there very early.
I’m sure you’ll be fine if you have the confirmations for both hotels printed out for them. Keeping fingers crossed you guys get some sleep on the plane, that’s where we failed, just didn’t manage to have long enough!
We visited China for two weeks in May this year. We were very lucky. Our guide put us on to a local sim card where we have access to all the big apps such as fb, youtube, google. I wonder if this sim is for tourists only. You should ask around at the airport.

The good news is finally have overnight High speed train to HK from Beijing West and Shanghai Hongqiao only available every Friday to Monday start on June 15th. But not yet add 144 hours visa free transit yet.
@@TheKershawsAdventures Yes! A lot of food contain nuts and peanuts (peanut oil), and nut allergy is not popular in China, so many food contain some kinds of nuts in there, including cross contamination!!! Be sure to check your food before you order with the manager (if in restaurants), and the ingredients charts, people often miss peanut oil, and make sure to bring epi-pens if you have allergies!! (Police #: 110, Fire department #: 119, Ambulance#: 120)
Hk has its own independent immigration system which technically considered as "abroad" but sovereigty belongs to China. as a Chinese we usually double check if we do : A county-HK-Mailand" A county- taipei-HK-mainland" or " A county -Taipei- mailand China" this will make the immigration process more confusing.
I used Holafly for my trip to Turkey and planning to use it again when I go to California later in the year. When you said about middle names mine arent on anything Ive booked is that an issue for USA?
We’ve never had a problem in the USA if they’ve been left off in previous years. I think China are just stricter when travelling on the 144 hour transit visa, they still let us in though so it was all good! 😃
Thank you so much for this video specifically. We are wanting to visit SH Disney next year , and have been wondering what the process to enter the country as a visitor is like. Glad you made it through customs safely. What was it like trying to find, and catch a cab there. Do the6 take credit cards , or did you have your use their currency?
We went to the official airport taxi stand and showed them the printed in Chinese hotel address and hopped in no problem. They take Alipay but our card (Halifax clarity) failed to work with Alipay so we paid cash for the taxi. We did manage to link the revolut card to Alipay later that day and it worked for the rest of our time in China.
Airport then airplane and then airport and then in taxi and then disnyland and then hotel room..., Wow people travel through the wormhole... almost cannot see anything on the way, very tipycal and unique style.
Hi there! Im glad to see you had a wonderful trip 😇 When you arrived at the 144hour transit desk, did you present an e-ticket/outbound flight itinerary on your phone? Or did you actually have the physical official boarding pass for the outbound flight? Thank you!
We printed out all our travel documents and they took away the hotel confirmation and flight confirmation to copy. They will take your passport and move you to one side but don’t worry that’s the normal process while they add the transit visa into your passport.
@@TheKershawsAdventures got it, thank you! So in other words, you printed out the flight itinerary/confirmation to the next country? The gov website was confusing me because it stated “ticket with confirmed seat” which is kind of difficult if not impossible to achieve because airlines dont make available boarding passes until check-in time (which is like 24-48hrs before departure). but i heard that as long as you present your proof of a confirmed departure flight, it will be accepted by the immigration officials.
Yep exactly, the printed travel documents showing your flight leaving with your full names on is what they need and the accommodation for the duration of your stay in the area you are entering into with the 144 hour visa
He’s not shy at all, he was just absolutely shattered! It was our longest travel day to date and we had been up for over 24 hours by the end of the day!
We looked at doing it but with another holiday we already had booked before hand (so unable to hand our passports over to the embassy until after this) we weren’t sure we would have had enough time to get it.
So Hong Kong is a country or not? I saw your explanation about being on a Chinese exit visa, you said you understood the Chinese visa policy and then you were vague about the definition of Hong Kong, but at the beginning of the video you still said you were going to four countries including Hong Kong. So you still consider Hong Kong a country?
We know HK is a special administrative region in China but for the purposes of the 144 hour transit visa we travelled on, China allow HK as a place to travel to. We have never been to Asia before and were excited to travel to the 4 new places but didn’t mean to upset people by calling HK a country.
I didn't Virgin guy can be so political lol yes, HK is part of China, but according to policy, 144 visa free visa apply to HK, Taiwan, Macau as third destination. As frequent traveler, I could feel your guys excitement, everything is exciting, right? the hiccup at check-in, even the airport cafe and food lol You guys definitely will get more excited in Shanghai, it's another level lol
We knew we could go to Hong Kong but it totally threw us and made us question it! Travel day is always exciting but going somewhere new and completely different was excitement on another level! We absolutely loved Shanghai, standing at the Bund felt so surreal, like we were looking at a postcard! Well in the afternoon it did at least… you’ll see what I mean next week 😆
It is important to point out that Hong Kong is not a country, it is just a city in China. Have a good time.

it's easy to avoid this issue, when you wanna say HK,Macau,Taiwan with China together, make it China mainland. @@TheKershawsAdventures

Be sure to check your food before you order with the manager (if in restaurants), and the ingredients charts, people often miss peanut oil, and make sure to bring epi-pens if you have allergies!! Hk has its own independent immigration system which technically considered as "abroad" but sovereigty belongs to China. as a Chinese we usually double check if we do : A county-HK-Mailand" A county- taipei-HK-mainland" or " A county -Taipei- mailand China" this will make the immigration process more confusing.
welcom to China, thanks for making vlog
Thank you 😄
China has 5 children that is Taiwan, Macau, HK, SCS islands, and small islands north of Taiwan.
@@TheKershawsAdventures I just got worried as it will be my first time going to USA
There wasn’t really another way to get there from the other side of the world… don’t worry we don’t just stay in the hotel room!
来中国吃好 喝好 玩好 祝你一家幸福
Thank you, we had a wonderful visit and will 100% be back in the future 😊
China is very good for tourist
We had a great time!
Hope you enjoyed your trip in Shanghai?
We had a great trip thank you ☺️
The bun's supposed to be strawberry flavor according to the receipt.
Besides, no one drinks tap water in China whether or not it's safe.
Thank you! The menu didn’t actually state a flavour so we weren’t sure!
Hi there! Im glad to see you had a wonderful trip 😇
When you arrived at the 144hour transit desk, did you present an e-ticket/outbound flight itinerary on your phone?
China's largest city is not Shanghai now, it's Shenzhen, Shenzhen is twice the size of Shanghai and not polluted, better go to Shenzhen than Shanghai.
The little boy is a little shy.
He’s not shy at all, he was just absolutely shattered! It was our longest travel day to date and we had been up for over 24 hours by the end of the day!
@@TheKershawsAdventures got it!enjoy your journey in china
Thank you, we had a wonderful time 😃
How come you didn't apply for your VISA through the Chinese Embassy in Britain. Its there in your passport, nothing to worry about.

上海有个挺出名的公园叫做“豫园”,可以去看看,门票40元
We go there in next weeks vlog, we spend the day in Shanghai
