They have fair criticisms of Short Circuit, but I think it's somehow aged better than you would think based on their negative reviews. Yeah it's simplistic and predictable, but it's also funny and the effects mostly hold up.
I’m surprised they liked Jo Jo so much. It’s good but flounders at the end. The scene they show is a great one though EDIT well Ebert feels like I feel about Jo Jo, not enough, didn’t go far enough
i was a 14 year old freshman in 86, i do not recall Steve Guttenberg being someone that particularly appealed to us teenagers. they were both very progressive PC types for the time, so i have to really give them credit for calling out the heavy handed BS propaganda angle of that doc.
Then came short Circuit 2 in 1988.
Which they loved.
@@MrBoyYankee Last Resort was also a video game.
@@uyeda I know.
@@MrBoyYankee I wouldn’t say loved, but they did enjoy the movie.
I wish Jo Jo Dancer was better. I like it but I think Pryor was too tame in it.
short curcuit was funny

Broken Rainbow is another Documentary scandal in the Oscars.
Syd Mead designed the Sulaco Spaceship in Aliens amongst many other designs:)
Syd mead was great. His ability to draw and plot realistic reflections in his renderings are mind-blowing
Pffft. Short Circuit was awesome
I used to love watching Siskel and Ebert at the movies.
When did they get the new show called siskel and ebert
They moved to Buena Vista in the fall of this year and had the new title.
JoJo is one of my all time favorites
