I hate how bladebuilders took away the clip so you could attach it to your pants, that was more fun.
Yeah, I added a clip to one of mine using a chip clip, tape, and string.

Yeah, the sound is definitely busted on that unfortunately.
The green crystal should be Luke's saber sound from ROTJ
The blue crystal is the traditional lightsaber startup
The red is the hissing activation from Vader's saber in the Cloud City duel
Yup, recently got one myself. Sound is about the same as in the video, however mine has an additional issue to where the light constantly stays on. It doesn't toggle like in the video

It toggles between each sound if it doesn’t have one in it, but for mine if it has the green crystal in it it makes that horrible broken sound. It’s so yellowed and old and beat up for me now that I’m probably going t gut the electronics and modify it some for some led’s and potentially a new “combat” blade

I noticed you didn't have the 2005 blade extended all the way, that's why the other 2 looked bigger
I had this set and a lot of the toys in that catalog, getting the craziest nostalgia from this. Also had that Mustafar play set, would've forgot it's existence if I didn't see this. I miss this era of Star Wars so much it made my childhood lit

Dan-o i have the kit and the best way to use the red is to use the red blade with no filter. I also found that using the green and blue filter together makes a light green, and the black button is actually anakin episode 2

This was my Christmas present that year. I also got my Vader voice changer for my birthday. So nostalgic.

I had this as a kid, and absolutely loved it. That broken sound it has (as a kid I called it a fart noise haha) started after using it to fight with too much, I bet the jarring shook something loose inside of it. That anakin to darth Vader lightsaber was my vary first lightsaber and I still have it to this day and it still works except from the sound but that would be because I loved to battle with it, but it can't be that hard to change the speaker. 😀👍

The Darth Vader Mask With Voice Changer was worth more than it sold for as a toy back then.... Even though the voicechanger box sounded like a toy, the mask and helmet looked really good... I'm sure this is in my attic somewhere...

I wonder if the fact that you left the red crystal in, is why it changed colors, I doubt they were that hi-tech back then but the fact that this kit could make an orange-ish lightsaber makes me wish I got these when they were out.

OMG. The previous owner absolutely killed the soundboard on that thing. It is not supposed to sound like that. That’s one of the many reasons why I hesitate to buy stuff off of eBay. If it were me I would get a refund because that thing is in such bad shape
I agree.
The only possible positive you can get from that is if you purposefully want an unstable sound for your saber, but then you risk the whole circuit failing and just not working.
Happened to me with an Anakin color switch saber and an Obi Wan saber, and it'll probably happen to this guys as well.

I think I still have this somewhere. I hope is till have this somewhere. My force action one is pretty much destroyed but the shell might be a nice display. Hopefully I can replace it one day. This one was always one of my favorites. I also had one that would change from green to red

I vaguely remember the color depends on the order you put the disks in. So a red then a green would look different than if you put the green one in first

I used to own the darth Vader mask and voice changer, it’s probably still in a storage unit along with my General Grievous mask.
I know this is 2 years old buuuttttttt; that grievous mask, was it similar to the Vader one where it was a full helmet? I only ask because I had the Vader voice changer helmet and loved it, however if the grievous helmet is similar I’m gonna have to track one diwn

But I imagine if you found one you could retrofit it into a full helmet.

I have the original one but I'm only missing the bulb housing and the color discs. I do also have the Disney world one from 2016. I'd love to find the green disc so I could have a yellow lightsaber 😂

And if u stick the white blade on without the crystals you can see the blade turn orange also you can mix the colors with flat color filters by putting the red on top of blue to make a somewhat Purple Ull see more red then if u look Carefull through the blade ull spot a color change for like mace and stuff cool tip for ya and don't forget the blue crystal;)
Hmm...if you hook the "green" up to the red-green crystal combo on the Clone Wars set using a modern double lightsaber adapter you might be able to make a passable Temple Guard saber.
There's a place where I live were they sell a bunch of hilts and parts from these sets every Thursday! I have the hilt from this set and 2 of the Clone Wars ones! Actually one of the Clone Wars hilts is the one they had at Disneyland and the other one came on the set! :D
I might just see if I can get some hilts and one or two pieces (probably an adapter) so I can use this for a low-budget price
