you know, when I played some star wars games, if you are using red lightsaber, it doesnt mean youre a sith. some jedis even have red lightsaber!

You are correct on a "real" lightsaber they are pommels, I'm referring to the toy line and what they are called at the "Build your own lightsaber" Station at Disney parks.

It’s fine, everything has different names everywhere you go, so confusion usually occurs but is normal :D
Actually some of the end caps have pommels and some do not.
I have been learning a lot about lightsaber culture and combat because I’m getting bored of the old republic so make sure next time you make your own lightsaber put a lot of gold on it. It symbolizes that you are strong in the force and a good combatant

This oldest hilt was still around in Disney in 2007 FYI. I went when I was eight and still have the hilt, but I lost or broke the other parts fighting with the saber and not holding back over many years. This video brings back many good memories, so thanks.

I totally agree with you on the grey area. I myself would totally be a grey jedi. I might have done a purple blade, however, because it actually represents a force user who uses dark sided abilities for good. I mean, it IS a mixture of blue and red...

Very informative! I found your channel doing lightsaber searches. I started collecting rgb lightsabers and toys found at thriftshops. Many are TCL cleaned up and working. Recently found some new ones and doing online searches, I found these were from Disney Build your Own stations. At first I didn't really like the plastic "toy" extending blades but there are fun for knock about and display props. I'm impressed that the newer ones have smooth motion sound and flash on clash features. The most recent found were the Kylo Ren and and a Luke -ish style. The end cap for the Kylo Ren is black but not the accurate style so maybe I'll get lucky and find one on EBAY or thrift shopping. I'm glad you explained the old single bulb flashlight type core and the current ones with many LED ( qui gonn hilt) . I have both styles and now I can do more customizing . Thank you!
I got a couple of loose hilts from the '05 Ultimate Lightsaber set at my local Savers, & they only came with enough pieces to build one complete hilt, so next time I go to Disneyworld, I'm gonna pick up a lot of individual lightsaber parts from the stations. 😄

There's a seller on ebay whos selling a bunch of these! I was able to grab replacements parts and new hilts without the hassle of driving to Disney or calling them. A bit pricey but better than having to wait on my next visit.

The clear blades were from back when Disneyland first started the build your own station, they used to have clear blades, and you would use little filters to change the light color, but that was updated over the years. It's the same as the Ultimate Build your own lightsaber kit from 2005

Just started getting into star wars - I was really into clone wars when I was younger. Loved it. I'd like to think I'm light side but I think im a little bit of both so I'd have a purple lightsaber.

Your design can definitely change. in the prequels they would loose their saber or it would get destroyed and then be replaced by the design that shows up in the original trilogy. Obiwan's episode 1 saber is different as well as anakin's episode 2 saber.

I think I'd try making a lightsaber a lot like Count Dooku's, only the color would be blue or green.
it WOULD be a lot nicer for hasbro to make the ULTIMATE ULTIMATE lightsaber kit, heres how:
make a lightsaber build your own kit, but the lightsaber has in addition: cracked crystals (blue, red and green), and ''doors'' in the sides for the lights of the kylo ren addition to be added.
Theres that is a clear kylo ren crossguards that you can put, the blades in the sides are clear and with a cracked appearence, so you can make custom kylo ren sabers.
This video is so cool *likes* im a jedi i have a white lightsaber blade and i have a spinner gear like an inquisitor tool but it has 4 so i could have 4 differnt collors so on one side it has a tool like a light dager and it can shoot laser shots

I'm pretty disappointed. I found one on eBay for 17 dollars and it had a bunch of parts as well as a green blade. I ordered it but then my order was canceled because apparently the lightsaber broke while getting it out to ship 😕

Does the new "Build Your own Lightsaber" hilt at Disney world contain the sound changing kyber crystals? If not, could you easily swap any combinations made on the newest one to the one with kyber crystals?
Yes you can use the current pieces on the older style hilts that have crystals. The current hilts do not have crystals.
