Did I miss the video of Shawn’s new Superduty? What’s the wheels and tire set up on that bad boy? I see there Arkons and Nittos but what are the sizes PLEASE!!
Mines have been on since I've been offroading and have had zero problems. Been in mud, snow, etc... no problem at all. If they had some built that functions as a rock slider or something I would upgrade to those in a heartbeat.
I have the standard set, and every year when it starts to get cold they stop retracting completely. I do my diligence to keep them clean and lubed. I've even disconnected the motor to test for binding. Wish they sold a kit to upgrade to the extreme rather than buying a whole new set.
I have AMP steps on my 2018 Ram 2500 and for some reason I’ve always had a problem with them. Sometimes when you open the door, they don’t even come down. I’ve been thru 4 different sets in the span of 1.5 years. Motor went out on the other 3 sets in literally a few months span.
A common problem I've seen, some of those kits use a t-connector to splice in to wires. Those are junk and corrode easily. If those were used, get rid of them and just solder the wires in. If it's a complete plug and play kit, I have seen the controllers go bad a few times. Another common issue, people not following the instructions for torque specs and sequence. Those motors cut off at the slightest amount of pressure and if the brackets are a tad off center it will add additional stress to motor. If you've got the money to do it, throw away the old boards and buy the Extremes. Or try getting your retailer to exchange for the Extremes.
Is there away to manually turn off the steps if you don't want them to come down because of deep snow or rough terrain when hunting when you open the door? Can a manual cut off switch be added to turn them off or could you just remove the fuse to the wiring harness so they will not operate? thanks
This may be a dumb question but the website fitment list only names off some fords but it doesn’t say “it’s unavailable” when I put in my GMC Sierra 2500HD so I was just wanting to make sure these would in fact work on my truck?
Would you guys recommend getting upper control arms if I’m getting the 7 inch Mcgaughys lift? I only do street driving with maybe some dirt roads. I just got my first truck and don’t know much about lift kits so I wanna get what I need but not overspend if I don’t have to. Thanks guys
What would you guys recommend the RBP Stealth Extended or the AMP ones? which come down farther... Which are more "incognito"... Easiest to install? And I guess which would you say is better quality? I'm assuming AMP is better quality but the rest I would like to know before ordering ha
Does it say what the minimum operating temperature is? What about where it is -40 before windchill. Windchill doesn't effect vehicles so when you said -40 with windchill, it was probably closer to -20
As a production line worker, we assembled this really well, I myself always double checking the quality of it before packing it. They're worth it !
thanks for your hard work. awesome product. i am saving my pennies for these and can't wait.
What if something is plugged into the ODB already? Is there a solution I can do for that?
@@calebsutton4723 they make a splitter, check their website
Are these available for a 2005 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 with 6 inch body lift
I was completely distracted by Shawn's Super Duty😂

i'm distracted by the gnarly truck tires everywhere 😍🥰🤣
Had mine for 10 years never been a problem of any kind they are an excellent product

So would i
Need to do a video of that truck I like how he did the wheels
I agree, I've been considering those new wheels...
Yes wanna see a video of it!
@@JohnWaid6Plus arkon posted a video of it

A set of amps and Arkons are on the list of must gets this year

Is that translucent over chrome on the wheels?
When can we get a build series on Sean’s super duty?
Hopefully soon!
Man that’s a badass F-250! 😎👍
I really like that orange color on the rim of that wheel I wish these steps were made long enough to where they went from Wheel to wheel
please have shawn make a "spot light video" of the new f250, those wheels look like they've been powder coated in Transparent Copper... looks gorgeous
Shawn got a new F250? Looks great almost thought it was the K 350
That truck is bad asss love it!
Is it me... or them wheels on that F250 looking ST8 🔥✊🏽💯
Will opening the back door activate them? Sometimes I load the kids up before opening my door.
Yes!

Are they still holding up well? Tia!
Do you guys point people towards these over the RBP?
How wide are the original and how wide are these extreme?...I notice you said it was wider....
Do you suggest going with Amp or RBP?
Will these amp running boards fit a 2019 ranger crew cab?
You can check fitment here bit.ly/2FWnGAL
Is there a switch that you can activate that will stop the step from coming down when you open the door?
You can just unplug them!
@@CustomOffsetsTV OK! cheap process but effective.
Do an update on those atturo boss tires.
How would you compare these to the RBP stealth running boards?
In your opinion, which is better. RBP or AMP??
They’re both quite similar honestly
Do these drop lower then the amp XL?

Shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com so we can confirm fitment
On the white F-250, do you sell the White tow mirrors?
We do not!
Great video
When you purchase the steps did they come in a pair for $1400 or are they double the price I guess what I’m asking is do they come in a pair
Yes set of two!

The kit will come with everything needed for install unless the description says otherwise!
So what’s the verdict for the better step? The new amps or the rbp??
Both are very competitive brands that’s for each individual to decide what they like better 🤘🏼
Doesn't the RBP require a exposed wire & magnetic contactor in each door area ?
Where the AMP uses just the plug in just under the dash ??
How do you get them down if no one is in the truck? Like washing them?
That's why the have the stay down feature. He shows it at 4:00.

They are pretty comparable!! bit.ly/2WG4wXJ
I'll gladly test a pair for you
I've been looking for these for my 2020 ram 1500..they dont make them yet..
The set for the 2019 model will fit on your 2020
How do you guys pass emissions up there?
No emissions tests!
@@CustomOffsetsTV So up in Appleton there isnt any testing? Because im down from northern illinois about 3 hours away from you. Happy to hear that!
Nope! 🤘🏼
What if something is already plugged into the odb plug. Is there other solutions?
They have a splitter for this, so you still have open OBD port to keep tuner plugged in
@@CustomOffsetsTV Awesome, thank you for the fast response.
🔥
I want it in regular cab
So what’s the update on the rbp option?
Is this a different truck then the black sema truck?
Yes
Would like it to be in my country for the ford ranger t7
Can these be installed on an F150?
I have the bds recoil traction bars on my 2020 f250 XLT Crew cab 6.7 will these steps be a problem with my traction bars?
Do they make these for an 05 Excursion!?
Check here! bit.ly/2QMaAw2
Do a video on that truck!!! Please
Kinda want these. I have the older amp power steps
Nice 👍
Does it say what the minimum operating temperature is?
What about where it is -40 before windchill. Windchill doesn't effect vehicles so when you said -40 with windchill, it was probably closer to -20
The description on them will tell you all the information we have on them!
I typically don't see too many steps that work after 6 months where I live. The cold murders them.
Bryce Green Amp works better than OEM. All you have to do is keep them clean and spray with silicon.
We have used the regular ones for 4+ years without issues, and these Xtreme's have handled this winter with no issues either!
Love the vids. I would love to meet you guys
Does Amp offer a version with chrome that looks like the OEM steps on the Ford Platinum Super Duty?
Check out available finishes here! bit.ly/2Tm0y6w
Just buy mine off my 250!
What if you go mudding I’n them ?
That will cause extra wear and tear but if you clean them regularly you’ll be alright
Cool
Why didn't he just get the factory steps on a new truck? Just having to use the OBDII port is enough of a turn off.
I agree. But he did say u can use a splitter.
Plug an play 06silverado 1500?
No plug and play on 06. only 14and up
Mine don't even like cold weather let alone ice and snow.
I’ve had Amps on my truck for 5 years. No issues even in extreme cold and snow. Are you spraying them with silicon regularly?
Any body else having problems with them getting stuck?
ruined that super duty with those clown shoes
That going on a limo ?
Nice🔥
Really dislike using the obd port. Even buying a splitter. Amp should just make a way for their boards to talk with fords prb module... come on
First yes!
Run 100' of wire, drill holes and use your OBD plug? That is NOT Plug-n-Play
at 4:00 he says they dont go up when your foot is on them but they sketched out and went up about 1" lol. no thanks
The point is they stopped. You're saying no thanks to the price.
I can put my wallet on the step and close the door and wallah I don’t need to carry my wallet. Snug as a bug 🐛
where the 302 gang at?
RBP Power steps ftw
First
first
Cool I'm first lol
