- On the third day, I went to Bangkok!
Continuing my epic journey around the world, I caught an Air India 787 from New Delhi to Bangkok, where I was going to spend day four of my trip recovering a little.
It was an early start at Indira Gandhi Airport, and once onboard, I marvelled at the tape man's engineering exploits along with the creakiness of the plane.

The ageing AI fleet is not up to the mark; as you have rightly experienced. However, things will be much better once the fleet upgradation happens in the near furture !! Their amenity kit is quite good !! (That's sandalwood soap, by the way !!)
The seats looke the same that KENYA AIRWAYS Use on the B787-8.Great work
Thanks! I haven't tried Kenya Aorways yet.
This are the basic seats that come with the 787 in the 2013s. Kenya airways and Air india didnt use 3rd party seats like other airlines do to save some costs
Just discovered your trip reports around the world and I am really liking these. Keep up the good work and hopefully to see more great videos from you 🎉
Welcome aboard!
Liked and subcribed. I look forward to seeing the rest of your journey around the world!
Awesome, thank you!
"Sandal" refers to the fragrance of the soap, Sandalwood fragrance. Quite popular in India for soaps. Real ones would have sandalwood oil in it, and there are also ones with artificial fragrance.
Thank you! That makes sense. I learn something every day on RUclips!
Plenty of Thai Airways aircraft look like they are all grounded on that approach... pleased you had an easy trip... Delhi is usually rammed between midnight and 4am...
I don't think Thai Airways is anywhere near back to normal yet, and yes, Delhi was pretty quiet when I went through.
Nice video mate, I found your channel and gotta hand it to you, I really like the calmness of presentation and good quality footage. Subscribed! Keep it up man
Much appreciated! Welcome along.
maybe the chap on the ladder was looking for the starting handle 😁 , nice review Tony , if anything it was an interesting flight ☺
Can you imagine trying to crank one of those engines! :oD
India as a country itself is held with a Tape 🤣
Good luck keep making vlogs we will watch enjoy your trip n stay 🇮🇳🙏🙏😆😆😆🥞
Thank you so much 😁
Yup Sandal soap. Everyone wonders about it.
Keep up the great and beautiful reviews!
Thank you! Will do!
Congratulation on reaching 1k Subs!
Thanks!
Thanks for the report. To think Air India was once a prestige airline. At least service/food were of a good standard but the poor maintenance. Is unacceptable.
Thanks for watching!
😆get out! thats my honest thought.
I wanted to go to Bangkok! ;O)
Another great review. Very disappointing "premium" product offered by Air India. The situation at the loo is beyond any possible comments. I believe customers paying full fare for this product wouldn't be happy about the experience! Many people say that airlines are considering cutting luxury / maintenance standards due to a high number of pax using miles instead of "real" money to redeem premium products.
Thanks Pierre, I definitely spent cash on this flight - nice breakfast though!
Probably explains why so many airport lounges for business class are overcrowded to the extent that on many occasions I’ve preferred the main concourse area to wait for my flight.
Air India was a government airline. just got private back to Tata Group who had founded Air India. they have 5 year plan to revamp the Airline. they have Announced merger for AirIndia, Vistara
What's taking so long for TATA to "fix" Air India ?? Fire every single current employee and start brand new.
They r merging with vistara so it will be done by 2024
not that easy to fix. they have new Tata management, fired all senior management of Air india who were under government. Market shortage is a Issue here.
Good Trip my friends i like your post... keep in touch!
Thank you!
