Girl!! I got listen for the lie and kill for me kill for you too! I read the 1st one and almost done with the last one! I need to order more then 3 books a month (my other one was weyward which I read right away lol)
Fern, I’ve said this before & I’ll probably say it again 😂 I LOVE your vlogs. You are so chilled, relatable & calming, I feel like I’m with a friend. I love everything you talk about and have literally the exact same interests as you. You are so inspiring too! I’ve just finished book 5 of the year, I’ve really got in to my houseplants, I’m meal prepping my vegan yummies even more, I’ve learnt how to do builder gel nails, I’m gardening a lot and I’m doing a ten week distance learning course online at home about mental health. I feel like you’d appreciate all those things and you’ve inspired me in relation to the plants and reading more especially. Thank you! 💚💚💚
As a fellow procrastinator I once heard someone say that the root of it is actually avoiding a feeling that the task brings up and not the task itself and that really hit home for me and changed how I view and approach my procrastinating. Idk if that is helpful (if so great, if not-that is okay too), but regardless you are at the very least not alone in this struggle! ♥
I’ve been binge watching your vlogs for the past few days and just wanted to say that you’re such a sweetheart, love your personality and cozy vibes 🫶🏻 and I looove that your vlogs are long, I feel like I’m hanging out with a friend all day long
Amazon package thieves are so common now. Really sad. I’m sure he tossed the package because he thought it was “baby stuff” since you said that’s what he stole, and knew you had him on camera, so he just chucked it. 😂 so nice that someone found it and redelivered it. A similar thing happened to me many years ago, but I didn’t get to confront the person. Someone stole my package and I noticed it was missing, and then later in the day someone was walking their dog and found the box, opened and contents still inside, ditched in the grass. They brought it to us, and I was shocked. What were these valuable contents that they discarded? Origami paper. 😂 love your vlogs Fern. 🪴
oh my gosh! so annoying. yeah it's getting super common, people follow the Amazon trucks and wait for their opportunity, ugh! I can't imagine they actually luck out with anything valuable very often.
Tip for getting oil out of clothes: sprinkle with a generous amount of cornflour/cornstarch and leave it to absorb the oil (I usually leave overnight). Tip the excess into the bin and then run through washing machine. This always works for me - even after I’ve tried washing/stain remover first. I’ve even used powdered dry shampoo in a hotel room to get oil out of my boyfriend’s shirt and it worked a treat. Hope it helps!
OMGoodness!! I loved Where the Crawdads Sing!! I just cried through the movie! Also I have Verity on my nightstand to start now. I don't know how I stumbled on this channel but I sure am glad I did!
That bird feeder is the cutest!!! Oh and plant seeds can last many years. The only thing you’ll notice is the germination rate will go down as time goes on. I know some people who have used seeds that were over 10 years old and they worked great. Also, if you notice west coast seeds price increases, you should check out baker creek seeds from the states. Even with shipping costs, their prices are often cheaper. All the best with your garden this year!
Berry bushes are so hardy! (especially raspberry's and blackberries).Dig them up in the spring before they start growing and plant them where you want them to live. Even if you don't get the full root system they will be fine. Once they establish in their new location they will go back to giving you berries. I've moved berries many times without issue (Canada, east coast). Good luck! :)
T. Kingfisher is one of my new favourite authors. A House With Good Bones, The Hollow Places, and What Moves the Dead were all good reads…though I would consider them more creepy/horror-ish than fantasy. A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking was also lots of fun and a little lighter than her others. Nettle and Bone is definitely on my TBR for this year.
i was feeling so crappy, thank God for your cozy vlog popping up. i started watching it and it felt so warm, nice and comfortable i fell asleep. and i'm back finishing it of course. thank you so much 🎉
Potatoes can keep in a cooler spot after you dig them up. So plant three potatoes and some other root veggies like carrots and parsnips, and beets. All could be grown in those bags you got.
Trim the blackberries back down that more light gets in and there are more berries to pick. Yumm! The raspberries, you should be able to dig them up and transplant them somewhere else.
Really enjoyed this vlog. Really enjoy hearing about the different things you do such as meal prep, talking about books you are reading and hearing about your close girl friends and what you all are doing . You should do this type of vlog more often 😋yes and I think the no makeup thing is awesome too😎👩🏻🦰 Interesting seeing what you are going to be planting outside this spring… good for you . Yes keep the raspberry bushes as they are sooo refreshing with coconut cream or just on their own in summer … thx for all that you do
If you’re starting indoors, you don’t necessarily need a heat mat for tomatoes, but it does speed up the germination and early growth. Now that you have a heat mat, you can even try growing succulents or cacti from seeds.
Stain remover, stick if possible. I use one and it took the butter drip out of my shirt where I dropped. Piece of bettered popcorn. It started as a drip and spread out about a total of 2 cm. But it came out. It was working for about 26 hours before I threw it in the laundry.
Hi Fern! I hope you're doing well! Our garden pests are groundhogs. We did a slapdash fence job last year to keep them out and that was a mistake. This year, we're doing a proper fence so we don't have to worry about it. My unsolicited advice: make your fence the way you want it to be, it will be worth it in the long term. I can't wait to see your garden! (I've moved blackberries, no problem. Your other berries should do just fine.) Be well!
A proper fence would definitely be ideal! My only problem is that I'm not 100% set on how I want the garden to be, so I feel like something temporary is the only thing that's going to work until I have things arranged how I want them. So hard to decide everything 😅 and glad you hear you liked divine rivals 🥺 thank you so much for watching x
If you're unsure about keeping the berrie bushes, put them in pots for a season and see if you still want them next season you can make a new bed or something
For brushing dog teeth- definitely take this with a grain of salt but my vet has always told me that just focusing on the outside of the teeth is fine. It’s something about the inside having more saliva and getting more movement than the outside. Apparently it’s when the teeth get dry that they’re more susceptible to infection 🤷♀️ hope that eases your mind lol
Try putting dishwashing soap on the oil stain. Dishwashing soap is meant to cut grease on dishes and i find it works well on clothes. Pour some directly on the stain and scrub the stain a bit with a brush. Then rinse and wash in your machine as usual.
Read The Women next! Such a good book, I could not put it down, and I literally cried for two days while reading it. 😭 Also, crazy about your package getting stolen! A few months back, someone went through all of our mailboxes and threw our mail all over the road 🫠 the heck!
Make sure you have lots of flowers growing around the vegetables and fruits for pollination, bees, and as a pest repellent! Look up what flowers work the best in combination with your area and whatever veg you are growing 💚
The best way to get oil out of clothes is dish soap! Definitely works better on fresh stains but it may still work now that you've akready washed it. Just scrub the dish soap into the stain and rinse. :)
just an idea, maybe you could plant a bush or some type of plant outside that the deer love to eat so they don't bother about your food crops and leave them alone because they can eat the other plant?
I love the Legendborn series SO much!! it's truly one of my fav fantasy series. It does take a moment to learn the magical system but once you're in, you're IN. I hope you love it!!
Once you pull up the raspberries replant in buried 5 gallon buckets. Raspberries bushes spread everywhere. I planted 2 tiny little bushes and now I have a 12’x6’ plot of them that I wrestle every year to keep them from taking over 😂.
oh wow lol! I'm lucky ours have been fairly contained so far 😂 not for the blackberries though, they've taken over too much space to ever wrestle back at this point hahah
I couldn’t do the no make up look. I had to go two weeks after eye surgery without eye make uo on. put everything else on my face but I still had naked eyes. The minute I could put eye make up on, I did!!
I would honestly plan your garden around leaving the raspberries as is. You can move them but they wont produce any berries this year, and probably very few next year.
I don’t normally comment but always watching and loving ❤️ Please don’t not take brand deals because you think it bores us or we think anything bad. I know it’s extra work. But it’s a lot of extra money for you and you deserve it. You work your arse off and are always “on”. If you can make more money doing what we love to see then do it. Make your money girlfriend. Just my two cents. You know how honest I am lol Always loving your vids. Your growth is top class. Keep killing it babe 💪🏻 xxxx
The frogs! What the heck 🤣 Edit: I think I've commented this before but you need to read Uprooted! I've been rereading it lately. Beautiful, fun, emotional, adventurous, engaging fantasy book that's also kind of planty-ish haha
I dont think the blackberries will be too much of an issue. We had a blackberry patch near lots of flowers and peony bushes and everything thrived just fine.
I read Dark Venessa. My jury is still out on that one. But a YA book I recommend is Eleanor & Parker by Rainbow Rowell. I just loved that book, it is so sweet. It has a permanent place on my bookshelf.
Yes the bambi's are back. Mine showed up last night after being away for two months. I can't wait to see what you do with your gardens. I think the berry bushes can be moved but before they are in growth ( I think) couldn't you put them along the property line between you and your neighbors and put a fence behind them or along your house? Anyways can't wait to see what you do. Gardening is not at all difficult.😊
You should DEFINITELY read My Dark Vanessa first! It is a VERY dark and emotional story but it is so well written that I couldn’t put it down. I gave it to my sister to read but it was too upsetting for her to finish it. I’ll be curious to see if you liked it.
Yayyy I’m almost caught up on this channel!! 🎉 So do you watch Roots and Refuge on RUclips? She has done lots of videos on building raised beds and trellises and fencing. She might be a good place to learn a few things about getting started! Absolutely love Jess! She’s written a couple of books too. Blackberries fruit every other year per branch I’ve heard. So if you have a branch that doesn’t produce…don’t fret!! The flowers are great for pollinators too. You are gonna LOVE the lettuce leaf basil! Great for wraps! Herbs like thyme can take FoReVeR to germinate and grow. Be careful where you put the feeder because the seeds that fall (if they’re seeds in a shell) will sprout and next thing you know you got weeds everywhere. Glad you’re enjoying your food processor!! Don’t you just love those Rubbermaid containers? They’re my favorite!
So I just finished watching and I’m happy you got the shelled seeds!! And that they were returned to you! Gah what a jerk! I just started The Women after finishing Educated. Can’t wait to hear your final thoughts on Nettle and Bone. 😊💚
Hi Fern! I highly recommend The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. It is YA but it did not feel that way to me. I think you’ll enjoy her writing style. It has very Scottish Kelpie folklore vibes and has an emotional ending. It’s one of my favorites 😊 I wanted to tell you that it must be such a weight off your partner’s shoulders that you can be home with Cadence as she’s aging. I’m so SO happy that your stories have come full circle even for the pups when they need you both the most. It’s so heartwarming to see in your videos❤️ Your sunflower bird feeder is so stinkin cute! I just got my first bird feeder and I’m so anxious for my finch family to find it 😂
Thanks for the recommendation! And yesss we are both so thankful that I'm able to be home with her, he always mentions how much he appreciates that 🥺 not sure what he'd do otherwise. And I'm still waiting for the birds to find the feeder 😭 I moved it lower so it's more visible, but haven't seen anyone yet. I'm like hellooo 🥺
I read Starless sea by Erin Morgenstern. It was a book that a friend of my recommend me after i recommend Piranesi to her. I can't stop thinking about both of these books. I have a feeling you could like it so i share it with you. Also, wtf the thief! Happy to know that all the family is alright at your home. So stessful!
🫶🏼i cannot say enough how much i love your videos📚🍄🌻🌱 ..youve slowly become my muse for life 💚💙💚💙 &😍those book picks sound so fun!!! I probably ha definitely have some to add to cart 📚📚🦋📚♥️
I will admit that I'm a little worried for your summer. You have a lot of garden ambition. I hope that you don't feel overwhelmed with how many plants you have in the house. Fingers crossed. I was also wondering about whether you would be trying "heritage" seed types.
I have never had success growing a watermelon big enough to eat the middle. 🍉I’m in zone 2b. This year I found seeds from a northern Ontario gardener and they are blacktail watermelons (dark skin like yours) Buying seeds that are adapted to the areas climate are supposed to be more successful 🤞🏼
Oh, I've been running around the house like a cockroach all day today with plants. First year I have the family vegetable garden to myself and now I have to move everything around to find space for seedlings and new cuttings listed 😖
Omg I never understand why people steal Amazon packages, I can’t imagine they get good stuff most of of the time like have fun with my strainer, razors, and plant pots or whatever 😂
Jumping right into this ❤ was just hoping for something to watch, the notification came at the perfect time! I'm super interested to hear the first hand experience with the thief 😂😅 (verbally instead of reading it in the discord lol)
Hi fern. A few vlogs ago you talked about a book called shark heart...I thought I would give it a read.thanx for mentioning it ,it was such a good book :)
a long one to make up for my tardiness 🫶
Girl!! I got listen for the lie and kill for me kill for you too! I read the 1st one and almost done with the last one! I need to order more then 3 books a month (my other one was weyward which I read right away lol)
@@tarabrown6401 omg!! I can't wait to read themmmm. and so glad you read weyward! love that book so much 🥺
I've always been the type of person that showers at night. I love getting to "wash away" my work day and go to bed fresh and clean
yesss, it's the best feeling!
it really is! I'm slowly getting my partner to realize the perk of night time showers

Oh my gosh, the frogs! They're so loud! LOVE!!
right!!! 🐸
Isn’t it nice to have the sun out when you’re cooking.

Oh I can just imagine little Olive getting her teeth brushed. Love seeing the sweet pups all cuddled up 🧡🌿😊
omg the thief taking your bird seeds...lollll. Im glad you got it back! The stranger is one of a kind for bring it back to you.
I was thinking that the person who brought it back was indeed the thief feeling guilty.

cornstarch is so smart! thank you for the tip :)
"Where The Crawdads Sing" slapped, the movie was so beautiful w/ all the Spanish Moss and marshland.
yessss I loved the scenery too 🌊
I'm sorry that happened to you Fern 😭 Bless that man for finding and returning your sunflower seeds 😂😭
That’s was awesome someone found your package and returned it to you 💕😀
OMGoodness!! I loved Where the Crawdads Sing!! I just cried through the movie! Also I have Verity on my nightstand to start now. I don't know how I stumbled on this channel but I sure am glad I did!
Nuthatches are so cute! They walk upside down on tree trunks .
Literally read My Dark Vanessa in 2 days, you will love it!! It’s a hard one emotionally but just wow.
That bird feeder is the cutest!!! Oh and plant seeds can last many years. The only thing you’ll notice is the germination rate will go down as time goes on. I always like your vlog series. It’s nice to see what goes on behind the scenes of what you do and what your life’s like.
T. Kingfisher is one of my new favourite authors. Loved when you talk about books ❤and your toughts about it
i was feeling so crappy, thank God for your cozy vlog popping up. i started watching it and it felt so warm, nice and comfortable i fell asleep. and i'm back finishing it of course. thank you so much 🎉
this makes me so happy to hear, so glad it was comforting 🥺 thank you for watching
I love your book chats! You have really gotten me back into reading (even though I listen to the books not read them with my eyeballs)! ❤
Potatoes can keep in a cooler spot after you dig them up. So plant three potatoes and some other root veggies like carrots and parsnips, and beets. All could be grown in those bags you got.
Nasturtium are another great companion plant. You can eat the flowers too. They are used in restaurants for both garnishments and eating. Enjoy them.
The frog ribbets are amazing!!!🐸🫶🏼💚
right!! 🥺🐸
Livestock panels are super affordable, non-permanent, and if you can drive a metal post into the ground, you can install it.
They also sort of disappear into the landscape. It’s what I have for my dog in my backyard and it was such a great choice.
Trim the blackberries back down that more light gets in and there are more berries to pick. Yumm! The raspberries, you should be able to dig them up and transplant them somewhere else.
you have chosen so many nice seeds!!! and nasturtium is also edible! ps. the frog concert was so cool!
ahh thank you so much :) so excited for spring!
There are many of those seeds that you could plant in the seed cups with the heat pad. Like the watermelon.
Really enjoyed this vlog. Really enjoy hearing about the different things you do such as meal prep, talking about books you are reading and hearing about your close girl friends and what you all are doing . You should do this type of vlog more often 😋yes and I think the no makeup thing is awesome too😎👩🏻🦰
Interesting seeing what you are going to be planting outside this spring… good for you . Yes keep the raspberry bushes as they are sooo refreshing with coconut cream or just on their own in summer … thx for all that you do
awe thank you so much for this! so glad you loved the vlog :)
Love the frog sounds! Makes me excited for spring🪻 Also, Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates is a great thriller/murder mystery that you might like!
I need to get my hands on that one, I’ve had it recommended a few times now 👀
Super cute bird feeder!! Nuthatches take seeds while upside down 🥰
no wayyy! that is sooo cool hahah I'd love to see one!
Your makeup is always so flawless and beautiful! Please could you include your routine in a future vlog? 😍
Also, Divine Rivals is very sweet. ❤
I absolutely adored legends and lattes! It’s such a cozy read. Gave me peace in a time of chaos in my life. ❤
I hope I absolutely love it! I will take all the peaceful/cozy vibes I can get :)
I regards to the deer fencing. Make it TALL! Those suckers can really jump. 😊
We've moved our blackberry and raspberry plants with great success. They were already a year or two old, so fairly established
oh that is great to know! thank you. going to tackle them tomorrow.
If you're unsure about keeping the berrie bushes, put them in pots for a season and see if you still want them next season you can make a new bed or something
this is a good idea!

Love this long vlogs!🤍 please do your skincare video update, I’d love to see it!
A few channels that are helpful for mental health are: Therapy in a Nutshell, Doc Snipes, and Psych 2 Go. I hope this comment helps someone 😊
just an idea, maybe you could plant a bush or some type of plant outside that the deer love to eat so they don't bother about your food crops and leave them alone because they can eat the other plant?
You really look nice today Fern. In your green sweater. And your blush is right on spot.
awe thank you Lisa!

so true! thank you for watching :)
Hi Fern! Oh my, I miss the frogs sound so much now that I live in a city. It puts me to sleep so fast❤ ( I'm in New-Brunswick)
yes they are so peaceful 🥺 natures lullaby!
I couldn’t do the no make up look. I had to go two weeks after eye surgery without eye make uo on. put everything else on my face but I still had naked eyes. The minute I could put eye make up on, I did!!
Garden works has west coast seeds and I’m sure little tree does too
The frogs!! 😝💚🐸 I love that, reminds me of summertime and childhood.
You can add the nasturtium flowers to your salads!
Such a good selection of veggies for your garden 🥰💕
Well Hi HELLO! I just appreciate you soooo much... I have had a very hard 7 months and coming on here just perks me up.. kisses to Olive 💚🐶
I would honestly plan your garden around leaving the raspberries as is. You can move them but they wont produce any berries this year, and probably very few next year.

Tip from an RMT: hairspray oil stains before you wash them. I got this tip from a hairdresser and she said it works on hair dye too. Don’t ask me how
Omg that’s so random!! Good to know though 👀
another great video fern, thanks for feeding us 😍
My pleasure 😊🍴 haha!
Love your vlogs Fern ❤ Also glad you got your birdseed back 😂🥷
thank you Natasha hahaha 😆

So I just finished watching and I’m happy you got the shelled seeds!! And that they were returned to you! Gah what a jerk! I just started The Women after finishing Educated. Can’t wait to hear your final thoughts on Nettle and Bone. 😊💚
That looks very pretty what you decorated.
Thank you! 😊
Good luck with your fence project!
thank you 😅😅💚
Hi Fern! I highly recommend The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. It is YA but it did not feel that way to me. I think you’ll enjoy her writing style. It has very Scottish Kelpie folklore vibes and has an emotional ending. It’s one of my favorites 😊
I wanted to tell you that it must be such a weight off your partner’s shoulders that you can be home with Cadence as she’s aging. I’m so SO happy that your stories have come full circle even for the pups when they need you both the most. It’s so heartwarming to see in your videos❤️
Your sunflower bird feeder is so stinkin cute!
So stessful!
ah thank you so much! I'll have to check it out
Loved this vlog!
A really good show to watch that has the true crime podcast theme - Only Murders in the Building
🫶🏼i cannot say enough how much i love your videos📚🍄🌻🌱 ..youve slowly become my muse for life 💚💙💚💙 &😍those book picks sound so fun!!! I probably ha definitely have some to add to cart 📚📚🦋📚♥️
Awww thank you so much!!
I have a book recommendation…… house of salt and sorrows! It’s creepy and romance and really good
I will admit that I'm a little worried for your summer. You have a lot of garden ambition. I hope that you don't feel overwhelmed with how many plants you have in the house. Fingers crossed. I was also wondering about whether you would be trying "heritage" seed types.
Another option for a cast in a pinch is a tiny piece of toilet paper and cover with nail polish 😊
good idea!! thank you 😊
Legendborn was really good! I read the second one too. I didn’t find it complicated at all. Enjoy. I still need to read Divine Rivals.
oh good I'm glad to hear you didn't find it complicated 🤞
I have never had success growing a watermelon big enough to eat the middle. 🍉I’m in zone 2b. This year I found seeds from a northern Ontario gardener and they are blacktail watermelons (dark skin like yours) Buying seeds that are adapted to the areas climate are supposed to be more successful 🤞🏼
Oh, I've been running around the house like a cockroach all day today with plants. First year I have the family vegetable garden to myself and now I have to move everything around to find space for seedlings and new cuttings listed 😖
ahhh I feel this in my soul hahah I've been shuffling things around too lol!
Been loving the longer vlogs 🥰
I don't really ever wear makeup. I love makeup but I'm not that good at it. I wore it more in my 20s. I think I put some on like 10 to 15 years ago.
Ugh brushing teeth with my older dogs was so hard! Even with help she never wanted it done 😅😅
I hope you have a great rest of your week!!
it definitely requires some patience hahah. thank you so much for watching 🤗
Blue dawn is the best for all stains, especially oil!
I knew I should have gone that route lol
Growing all that will be A whole lot of time and work!😮
Yes haha I’m sure it will be quite laborious!
Omg I never understand why people steal Amazon packages, I can’t imagine they get good stuff most of of the time like have fun with my strainer, razors, and plant pots or whatever 😂
THIS lol. literally! it's always just random household things 😂
Jumping right into this ❤ was just hoping for something to watch, the notification came at the perfect time!
I'm super interested to hear the first hand experience with the thief 😂😅 (verbally instead of reading it in the discord lol)
hahaha 😆 enjoy! happy Monday 💞
@@cozyplantlady11Happy Monday!! ☺️🥰
Bird seeds 😂😂😂😂😂😂, I laughed alooooot on this video, omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lmaoooo right 😅😂
Are you using a meal planning service or just going off the forks over knives app? The recipes looked so good!
Marigolds are a great companion plant.
I think you should read the one that is kill for me and I’ll kill for you. That even sounded good to me and I’m not a thriller girly
Hi fern. A few vlogs ago you talked about a book called shark heart...I thought I would give it a read.thanx for mentioning it ,it was such a good book :)
oh that is amazing to hear!!! I still haven't read it, but I think I'll put that on my list for April 🦈
