Greatest song ever
Got to do the live version of dazed and confused from 1973 Madison garden all 30 minutes of it! It's the best Zeppelin live version!
The name of the (sub)- genre is Blues Rock- and perpetuates Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker in the 1965- 69 time-frame, in turn built on the Leadbelly/ Willie Dixon/ Howling Wolf/ Muddy Waters Blues mountain of early days. Peace, love and bellbottoms from Canada.
Try Achilles Last Stand, & most every song has solos, most often by Jimmy Page lead guitarist. Throughout their time together, they’ve played many genres of music, fantastic at all & you never know what the next song will be.
Great build up. Wonderful stuff! Keep it up my friend.
The live version of this one from Earl's Court 1975 is unlike anything you've ever seen! Jimmy Page is absolutely on fire!
Yes...absolutely magical
Love LIVE Zep, but the studio version w/ the crazy Plant "lyrics" towards the end; "and i see them in the streeeeets...." AND OF COURSE, BONHAM's DRUMS on this tune/in studio, vast difference/better than Live version.
I agree. Studio version is better. Drums make it.@@bishlap
Zeppelin has quite a diverse catalog of music, such as the reggae inspired D’Yer Maker.
You my friend Dyce just keep coming up with the music that kicks ass! Rock and Roll on man!👍👍🤘🤘
You gotta love this bluesy one!
Of course there was soloing in this song! Jimmy Page had awesome guitar solos! And John Bonham's drums dove this hard rocking song off the cliff!
I don’t know if you folks know that this is a cover of a 1928 record by Blind Willie Johnson, not an original Led Zeppelin song
Zeppelin made it so much better.
@@brianbowman8310 Absolutely!
These songs Zeppelin added to & made a million times better, would have been lost a long time ago. They kept these songs alive, & made more people love them.
@@sicotshit7068 100%! I've been a Zeppelin fan since 1978. Not being critical in my comment, simply offering insight for those that may not know.
@@markharding9263 OK, I’ve heard some be critical of it, my opinion they changed the songs enough it shouldn’t matter. With all the songs out there, some will sound similar.
Even though The Rolling Stones have been around 60 years, they have some good songs, but certainly not as great as Led Zeppelin. Gun’s & Roses tried copying Led Zeppelin’s sound, especially wanting the vocals, but again no comparison. Zeppelin was the greatest when they hit the scene, & still are the greatest band to entertain this planet.
