You're right about Sebastian's influences, he's also in a jazz-fusion/metal band called Panzerballett, and some of his Meinl performances are super jazz-oriented.
Servusssss. Thank you for reminding all of us why this is the best time to be alive as far as music goes. I was so happy yesterday to see Garrett was doing a reaction to this playthrough that I literally jumped out of my chair. You, Linus, Rafael, and Javi are all making this world a better place and moving music into places none of us ever imagined we'd go. So excited to hear this album!
Welcome back dude! If you wanna see your suspicions regarding Sebastian’s jazz experience confirmed, check out either of his Meinl performances with the trio “Jung & Jung.” Would love to see you react to those. Cheers
well this is a nice sunday treat! sup garrett! just remember, we love the hell out of you and want nothing better than for you to be happy and worry about your mental health.
Welcome back, brother! Glad to see that you took the time you needed! Of course, we understand one's family and mental wellness take precedence. We definitely don't want you burning yourself out or spreading yourself too thin because you feel obligated That's for sure. We're all here because we have a passion for drums, and I personally enjoy having places to go online to share it. None of my local friends care too much for the intricacies involved with drumming especially regarding extreme genres. I don't know if you've reacted to Lord Marco on your Patreon or not, but he has what's got to be in the running for fastest gravity blast known to mankind. I'll put a link to one of his videos in this comment's replies (so as to not be mistaken as a spammer) for anyone who would like to view it and, perhaps, throw another name into the hat. Also, a cat named Matt Mcguire is definitely worth a look; he does covers including all genres from metal to rap to pop but does them with a dexterity that's crazy cool. Again, glad you're back and feeling better. Keep rockin' and stay heavy, man! Wishing everyone peace, love, and good happiness stuff from the mountains of northeastern Alabama 🤘
Your reaction to that breakdown is exactly what it looks like to see someone begin to really enjoy the heavier genres of music. It's moments in metal like that where you finally understand the appeal to it.
Lovely to see you back. I really appreciate your take on what other drummers do, you're one of the very few who understands what happens even if you can't actually do it yourself. No bullshit. Love it.
Keep an ear to the ground in the next few weeks, as Garrett'll be on an episode of a song-by-song Propagandhi podcast (aka Unscripted Moments) talking about Speculative Fiction.
@@keithgough6605 Oh this is cool. Big fan of the podcast. I found it around the "Resisting Tyrranical Government" episode and haven't looked back. I look forward to each new episode you guys put out. Keep up the great work.
@@citizenbrain8065 That's really awesome! I think you'll dig the episode and interview w/ Garrett! It's been a while since we recorded, and Greg edited the episode, so I'm stoked to go back and listen again.
Definitely missed your videos. Hope you and the family are doing great. I'm off to listen to your older videos again. Upload when you can, no stress if you can't. You're great at what you do. Much love from the UK.
Good to see you back my dude. I also have the same reaction every single time I watch Lanser... EVERY TIME... "I want to play like THAT." This is some next level creativity in metal. And I love that he can kill some jazz too.
It's good to see you back man, always enjoy your reactions. I've mentioned it to you in the past but a song I really hope you can get to is spastic by revocation. It's an instrumental by a death metal band that has a bit of a funky flair to it. Lots of really cool drum patterns going on. Cheers man, looking forward to the next reaction 🤘
Not being a drummer I had always wondered what the double bass technique that you call a swivel was called. I've been referring to it as "Mr. Slippy-Foot" because I grew up with South Park. Now I know what to call it when I'm in polite conversation but I'm sticking with Mr. Slippy-Foot for my own amusement
Heck Yeah!! Really GLAD to have you back Garrett!! You have been greatly missed sir!!! Hope the family is great too!! Greatly enjoyed your jam with the jazz group recently!! Hope more gigs come soon!! Again...WELCOME BACK BROTHA!!!!
I remember you digging Sebastian’s foot to foot technique on the double kicks last time. The dude can play jazz also btw. Garrett you should get back on the kit because that old clip you showed of yourself playing a gig highlighted your natural ability and cool technique (I say “cool” since it’s not dissimilar to mine lol). Edit : Sebastian is otherworldly.
Glad to have you back. Congrats on everything. Sebastian man, technique, musicality, ridiculous independence, seemingly effortless high intensity drumming. He literally threw in everything but the kitchen sink and it all just worked...beautifully. Thanks for doing this reaction.
This playthrough blew my mind when it came out, I was sitting with my mouth open like a dumbass. What a cool video for you to check out, to experience again together with you, dude 🤘🤘🤘
Hey man. I’m delighted to see you back in the game and feeling better. You could tell how much you enjoyed that one! Just started learning the drums myself, been watching since the bleed days so cheers for all the explanations and such and I look forward to future vids :)
BLESS US THAT UPON THIS DAY, GARRET HAS MADE HIS RETURN
You're right about Sebastian's influences, he's also in a jazz-fusion/metal band called Panzerballett, and some of his Meinl performances are super jazz-oriented.
What an awesome band name
Tnx for the love Garrett!

When you were looking for *the one*, and he pops up in the subscriptions! (see what I did there? hurr, hurr). Glad to have you back! :D
Sebastian puts on a clinic as always
Garrett's back and he picks my favorite drummer for his return. What a day 🤘🤘

HEEEEE'S BACK BAAAAABYYY!!! wooop woop, nice that you refreshed yourself.
Dude you seemed so happy in this reaction! Good to see brother. Keep it up but never be scared to back away if you need to.
we need that new new Eloy Casagrande reaction, he's been posting lots and lots of sick drumming videos
Your reaction to that breakdown is exactly what it looks like to see someone begin to really enjoy the heavier genres of music. It's moments in metal like that where you finally understand the appeal to it.
He's got a jazz background and he was in the band Panzerballet for a long time, and they do jazz metal.
Yooooo, glad to see you back. Seen your face pop up and it was an instant watch.
I have been rewatching my favorite episodes of yours anticipating seeing you again. Welcome back!
Always good to have you back with us!
Hope you've been well, Mr. Miller!
As a fellow Garrett who also plays drums, it's good to see you back man
My favorite reactor. Big fan of the realism.
Welcome back. Hope the family is doing well!!
I thought I was already having a great day and it just got better. The best things are worth waiting for. Much love.
This video made me super happy. Glad you’re back.
Glad you're back, Garrett! And even happier you took time away to take care of your family.
I'd legitimately forgotten that this channel existed, but it feels like I'd never been away. Good to have you back, Garrett.
Good to see ya back G! Mr. Lanser couldn't be a better choice for a triumphant return....possibly my fav current metal drummer.
Welcome back, Garrett! You got me (a stupid guitarist) into drums and helped me appreciate music even more. That's a profound gift. Thank you.
Stoked to see you back and feelin better brother! Bringin back the fire!!
Welcome back sir. I’m really glad you took the time off to do what you needed to do. Looking forward to the uploads as your life allows.
Good to see you again, Garrett. I'm not gonna give you any money, mind you, but I appreciate the work.
Welcome back! Paul Seidel - The Ocean - Jurassic | Cretaceus is a long song but it will blow your mind!
This guy is a killer ! So melodic in his drumming !
I can't really say this about most reaction channels, but you seriously are entertaining to watch.
6:38 agreed dude
Clicked your video the instant I saw it. Good to hear you are doing better. Much love from Sweden brother.
glad you're back! you're a great father for focusing on what's important yo :3 we're still here! welcome back!
You have been missed, welcome back!
Lovely to see you back. I really appreciate your take on what other drummers do, you're one of the very few who understands what happens even if you can't actually do it yourself. No bullshit. Love it.

Sebastian is just on another level
Clearly the jazz drummer has been fully converted now. Very cool 😎
Good to see you back, my fellow Derrick Plourde fanatic !!!
We are here
Not sure about that one
But we're here
Seeing this pop in my feed made the choice to fill my next 11 minutes very easy. Glad to see you back!

Good to have you back, Mr Miller!
Nice to see ya back mate enjoyed you being genuine all round
Welcome back!! I could see joy in your reaction. Sebastian is a BEAST!!
Yesss! He's a jazz drummer too
My friend, I was already a fan of your videos but when you dropped that bit of Propagandhi in there my ears perked up. Keep up the good work.
Keep an ear to the ground in the next few weeks, as Garrett'll be on an episode of a song-by-song Propagandhi podcast (aka Unscripted Moments) talking about Speculative Fiction.

It's good to see you back man, always enjoy your reactions.

Love you man, don't apologize for living life! \m/
He's BACK!!!!
You should watch him play for Panzerballett. German Jazz Metal Band. Crazy stuff. So yeah, indeed he is a studied jazz drummer.
Best Wishes Garrett! Glad you're back... and I'm a guitar player, not a drummer!!! LOL

Garrett, glad that you're back brother, really dig watching your reactions. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do George Kolias 'Aeons of Burning Galaxies.
Glad to have you back. Congrats on everything. Sebastian man, technique, musicality, ridiculous independence, seemingly effortless high intensity drumming. He literally threw in everything but the kitchen sink and it all just worked...beautifully. Thanks for doing this reaction.
You look and sound better man. Glad you're back.
