Ive been watching your and kale's videos and while I think some of your advice is good it did not apply to me as a beginner. I made the assumption that a longboard was where I should start but I could not paddle out a 8ft costco longboard to even catch a wave in white water, the board was too big! I didnt have any success catching waves til I sized down to 6'5 wide nose foamie. Body type also affects pop up, I find myself using the chicken wing pop up because my arms are short and I cannot swing my legs through my arms onto the surfboard. I also recently had good luck with albums 5'7 presto fish surfboard it was not unforgiving if anything I have an easier time paddling it and popping up. Oh and the beginners beach know as Doheny has a rocky bottom, I have to wear booties or my toes get injured.
I have been surfing for 4 years and I have realized whit this vjdek that I do some of the errors you talk about hahhahhah. This is sad 😂😂 Btw, great video! As always, a very good edition and very proflesional
