Enjoyable video. The waterfall area looked to be a good spot, mind you if it had of been me camping there I would have been up and down at least a couple of times due to the noise of the water!
Fab camp, lovely spot. You’ll love the Herriot Way. The only section that’s tricky to wild camp would be near Hawes, but there’s a YHA with a campsite in the town. Also, I’d recommend taking the high route between Keld to Reeth, it’s worth it. 😊 When I did last week, we had hoped to wild camp on Great Shunner Fell but the rain fall turned the whole mountain into a massive bog, we pushed onto Usha Gap campsite. About ten minutes from Thwaite. No need to book, pay on arrival or the following morning. Staff are friendly. 😊
I remember camping there a good few years ago, noisy as owt with that waterfall lol, but it's a pretty pitch. Good to see you weren't ravaged by midges and hats off to you for starting out that late. Nice video Nick. atb DVS :)
One of the spots I've got on my list think i will wait a bit longer i walked past there on my cheviot hill walk its stunning bit noisy but cracking spot bet it can get canny boggy in the winter months beef jerky is a great snack on a walk and camp thanks for the mention Nick atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
It's a cracking spot mate. I just wait for a few dry days before trying it. Only issues I'd say is be prepared for needing a pee a few times throughout the night!
Hi and it’s a great little spot that one for a camp, it’s strange more people don’t stop there,I suppose they all crack on up the valley to higher ground. Still waiting for a proper wind test, Cheers

It was a cracking spoy. Midges weren't to bad. I must admit I was up twice in the night for a pee due to the noise. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the nice comment. I planned to Camp YHA Hawes then Park Lodgr Campsite Keld and a wild camp up from Grinto YHA as they don't allow tents.

I thought a late start would be better due to the midges. The noise of the water played havoc with the bladder! Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching Adrian. I'm hoping for a summit camp this weekend to give it a better test. Love the new tent so far.
