Great video. I'm looking at the JX3 hybrid considering a purchase. Initially I thought its allot more weight, however when you factor in your backpack filled with gear in addition to your saddle and rope bags you're not any lighter with the saddle. I too have been saddle hunting for about 6 years and have three saddles. I've not found the prefect saddle yet. Hoping the JX3 will check off that "bucket" on the saddle hunting list.

By the JX3 top stick. You will like that better than a platform with the hybrid. It makes it where you can walk around the tree and you can extend your feet for more comfort.

    Looks like a Guido's Web

    Feel the same way
I’ve had a Guidos Webb for 15 yrs now and it’s not worn out
Heavier than a saddle but the comfortable is worth it
I’m gonna get a jx3 when my Webb wears out

Looking at buying this. Ive got the cheap hawk platform and saddle right now. Would I need to upgrade to a bigger platform for this to work or would a smaller platform be ok??

You don't need a platform at all. Just rest your feet on the top of your last step.

It’s not new that’s for sure. Been around for 10+yrs in different variations. If you like shooting from a seated position there’s zero draw back in my eyes. For gun hunting it’s the cats azz!!! I’m not totally comfortable shooting sitting so with a bow it’s not ideal for me but I can’t imagine something more comfortable in a tree!!!

You can stand up just like in a traditional saddle.

Idk what anyone says. If you hunt in a saddle it will cost you deer. This is coming from a 4 year saddle hunter.

Why? I’ve never hunted from a saddle but sitting behind a tree looks like it’ll work better and anything that makes the sit better would be welcome.

To much movement. Easy to get busted and it’s hard to draw on 30% of your shots. If you gun hunt saddle 100% all the way. But if you bow hunt. It will cost you deer. At least it has me and another guy I hunt with. It’s just to much movement and especially if there is multiple deer around.

@ thank you. I use a crossbow and like to have it at the ready throughout the hunt. Bow hangers cause so much movement with it so I get the movement in this as well. Thanks

@Bofumforyou Nah. I've shot the same amount of deer this year as the last two combined. Two were after hearing them directly behind me, spinning completely 180 and leaning away from platform to take the shots. People talk about too much movement yet there are social media hunters talking, dancing, adjusting camera gear and cameras from lock ons and climbers.
