How tight would you say is your support hand grip? (Hard to quantify, I know. But I'm curious what the answer should be). I'm trying to use Jedelinski's wave concept. The issue I'm having is in order to keep the muzzle flat during recoil like he does, I'm having to grip so tight with support hand it slows down the presentation. When I loosen up on the support-hand grip I'm able to present efficiently, but the muzzle flips more than I would like. Not sure what I should do

It sounds as if you’re allowing your support hand to be a little bitch at the wrong moment. What I mean by that is I’m not applying extra pressure on collection and presentation, as I allowing the pressure to build through my collection. Try not to over focus grip pressure during collection but instead focus your grip pressure towards the end of presentation. Feel free to call me 501-218-6999 o can explain in better detail via a phone call and or we can do a video call to square it away.

I’m 57 and have been shooting most of my life. 47 years to be exact. I was at the range today breaking in my new Canik Elite Combat. Side note, great shooting pistol and very accurate and went through 350 rounds with zero issues. Anyway, this was my first time visiting this indoor range. I was shooting at realistic self defense distances between 7 and 10 yards. The gun was performing flawlessly and was a pleasure to shoot and I was in a bit of a zone. My groups were easily no more than 2 1/2 to 3 inches and was cutting out the bullseye on the handgun targets. Then this clown that could have been my son from his age, and I later found out he was the “range master”, came up to me and said I could improve my shooting if I held the pistol properly. He said “you’re holding it all wrong.” 😂 He saw the results I was getting too and he still said that. So the moral of my story is two fold. If you are having difficulty with your groups, work on your grip. If you are holding it now it is comfortable for you but seems wrong by other peoples opinion and are cutting out the bullseye while having consistent good groups. Keep doing what your doing. And second, don’t be that idiot at a gun range that has to go up to people that are shooting just fine and tell them “you’re holding it all wrong”. 😂
