Girl you should have post this 5 years ago. Would have saved millions from gloppy brows. Love you💚💚💚
I found a tutorial like this one round that time and it saved mine for sure!
ikrrr *cries*
I just don't have a steady hand or good enough eye sight especially close up for that kind of detail. So mine are going to stay gloppy.
“It was not made for blocked chunky brows”
Me: *cries internally while filling in my blocky chunky brows*
😂 Rock those blocks girl!
Desiree u I’m guilty too and mine have thinned. 😱😱
Lmao, same babes 💁🏻♀️
I feel you girl 😭😭🤣🤣
solidarity to the block brow babes out there
That's so funny, I also have one brow that I consider my "good brow". The other one... what a jerk.
Everyone does. It's because noone has a completely symmetrical face, due to both genetic & environmental factors.
Audrey Howler don’t worry girl, I feel you! “eyebrows are supposed to be like sisters - not twins” - Bretman Brock 😆👏🏽🔥
one brow the the parent’s favourite and the other brow is a distant relative no one likes
Me too. But then, the good brow is longer than the other one, clearly superior!
Audrey Howler I do too! The good brow and the one we don’t like but have no other choice
Hey babes, you FILL those sharpie brows. But this is how Anastasia herself INTENDED the Dipbrow be used. To each their own and to own their each. Or whatever.
Alexandra Anele Great video! I believe ppl need to know how to use brushes properly too 💚
My ABH dipbrow dried out almost immediately after I used it once. Any tips on getting it creamy again? I use a grape seed oil sometimes to help thin it out, but it can make the product apply messily and sheets out the color. HALP.
Sheers* out the product. Auto correct 🙄
@@corynecessary5914 same happened with mine, i put a drop of coconut oil and i mixed it and voila like magic,
@@corynecessary5914 don't use oil. Inglot Duraline is an amazing mixing medium to revive old liner, mascara, make powders into eyeliner.
I believe that in makeup, there’s no “right” way to use anything, BUT there’s certain ways that do look better.
yeah and using those products the way they were intended to ends up looking better
“Makeup doesn’t have rules, but it does have theory”
THIS. YES
I was looking for this comment youre soooo right
Cat i’m so glad i’m not the only one who watches Robert 🤣
My blocks felt attacked
🤣 Love to all the blocks! ❤️
Sorry but what are blocked chunky brows
Yousra Ofc basically 2016 insta brows
“it was not made for blocked chunky brows”
2016: 👁 👅👁
😂
I love this technique! But being light handed is not my strong suit...🤦🏼♀️
when in doubt lift ur pinky
Aaliyah Esparza i hate that you didn’t say “pinky out”
@@hiphiphoogray I literally could not remember the right saying 😭
Same :(
The trick is in getting rid of most of the product in the brush
At least 3 years ago, I was in Sephora and about to buy Dip Brow for the first time and I asked an associate, "Do you think I can make small hair like strokes?" and they were like, "Oh, noooooooooooooo." and looked at me like I was mad as a hatter. Go figure.
It's Sephora lol what did you expect? 😂
CdnCinnamongirl that was 3 years ago before the soap trick came out step it up now that’s all
@@katherinerios6639 there were definitely people teaching proper natural brows 3 + years ago... here's a 4yo video on soap brows where she says it's a very old method from Hollywood: ruclips.net/video/d6tMavELbiI/видео.html&feature=emb_logo
THANK YOU because seeing the ways that dipbrow has been used scares me lol just want natural brows that stay 😩
Try the NYX ultra thin brow pencil or the ABH brow wiz! The formula and the wax helps your brows stay but the pencil tips are so small it’s easy to get hair-like strokes, thats what I use because I couldn’t figure out sip brow myself.
@@xrayguurl I love the NYX brow pencil!! I also use the L'oreal brow pencil which is also good! Thank you for the suggestions!! 😊
I used to avoid buying the Dipbrow products bc I thought the only outcome would be dark blocky thick bad brows 😭💀
@@stephaaniec SAME😭
I just really wish you would get your eyebrow closer to the camera so we can see more details. I absolutely LOVE the way they look and so badly need closer viewing. I mean I can see what you’re doing but even closer.....would just be awesome!!
Evin Leigh There’s a lovely video from Wayne Goss that shows all the details if you’re curious as to how it looks super close up!
I second this and was thinking the same thing!!
This has to be the best brow pomade brow I have ever seen
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️
“That girl in high school who would take an eyeliner pencil and fill in her brows” lmaooo TRIGGERED, that’s me right now
Same, you're not alone lol
That was me freshman year... I learned and practiced though. I graduated in 2016
me at the beginning of my youtube channel 🤣🤣
I was the girl who thought that girl was cool and hot
@@nayshkamariel omg u kinda look like arzaylea Rodriguez
I feel like as a guy who wants to look as natural/neutral as possible guides like these really help and inspire me to get more into the makeup world. Really fascinating stuff.
I am not sure if anyone has said this already: place the open jar of pomade face down while you’re filling in your brows! Placing it down on a flat surface will (hopefully) prevent the product from drying out while you take the time to perfect your brows!
Also, placing it face down is a lot more convenient and accessible! As opposed to opening and closing the container constantly. :)
I’m an idiot. I literally told you “bless you” when you sneezed.
😂 You're just super polite
Alexandra Anele I thank you🥺
i literally did too, and i already had read this comment. it just came out... i tell my dog and cat bless you as well, lmao! 😂😂😂 hooray for manners :)
Now when people sneeze they say fuck you 😂
Me and my thin, happy 90s brows are just here for the show.
Hey, you rock those thin brows babe ❤️ Hope they found this entertaining 😂
im nodding along to your spoolie brand recommendations as if i don’t just steal my spoolies from ulta
its nice to see someone without perfect brows do this tutorial. everyone else tries to show how to do this but their eyebrows are already perfect so I cant understand how do it on myself. im going to go try this rn!
laurble to those of us with nothing and have to draw them in 😟 she has perfect brows I would love to have that just fill them in not draw them in!
As someone with 2 eyebrow hairs to my name, her brows are perfect to me 😭
I really must say, I am obsessed with your videos. I just found you, and now I can’t live without you... and I love your personality. It translates so well in your videos. Sending love from Philly 🤟🏽💞
I took my state board exam today for my cosmetology license...you have taught me more makeup skills than every teacher at my school combined 😅......... you are fucking amazeballs 🙌🏼
These girls out here with perfect natural eyebrows out here making thick dark eyebrows 😭💔
really natural results! And finally, a how-to on using soap in the brows. Short, sweet, and jam-packed with go-to. Yay!
Your channel was just recommended to me, it’s so refreshing to see someone who is pleasant to watch. I usually find myself skipping through but I really like the way you come across in your videos!
ugh I looooove this technique it looks great. Every time I try it my eyebrows are so dense it's difficult for me to get the hair-like strokes I want!
I love your tutorials. I hope you can do eyeshadow for monolids if that's ever possible. You're so professional and smart, I can't
Thank you for this video!!! I’ve been asking the question about brows recently and you’re such a great source I use for my beauty questions. Here you’ve done it again!!
Alexandra, I love these in-depth tutorials. Love the way you break it down and explain it. Thanks 😊
I never ever do my eyebrows but recently I’ve been trying it out. Love your videos!!!
Thank you love! Honestly, brows make such a big difference! Unless you're already gifted
High from Canada Doll face. Thanks for the excellent content and informational tutorial. I'm in my late fifties and hardly have any brows. Soon they will be turning grey. Til then, I will try your advice. Love you more than words. Been a fan from the beginning. Yours truly, Sativa
I'm fairly new to makeup and I'm still learning how to apply my makeup evenly without looking like a trainwreck. I've been searching for eyebrow tutorials that are beginner friendly, but haven't really found any that have a natural finish that is until I stumbled upon your video. I can't thank you enough😭 I can't wait to recieve my next paycheck, so that I can go out and buy my brow products. I look forward to seeing future content from you ❤
I love your tutorials! You are so detailed and go really in depth in your explanations and it really helps me learn new techniques. ♥️♥️♥️
YES! I wish dipbrow came in lighter shades, I find them so dark.
That pink background is making your green eyes POP! 💁🏻♀️
I love how completely natural your brows look. Best video I’ve seen for this product!
i love your content!! i appreciate how down to earth and honest they are! and that you ACTUALLY explain how it was intended and in detail! keep it up ❤️
This was actually really really helpful so thank you!
Two words: THANK YOU!!!!
I gotcha 😘❤️
Great video again Alex! I didn’t even know what dipbrow was but so glad I watched it. I love the very natural look you have and you always make me laugh out loud...you’re so much fun to watch and you have such a beautiful look! Thank you!
I watched your video a few weeks ago and for whatever reason, I didn't start using dipbrow in the way you show until this last Monday. Every day I do your technique I have a perfect brow day!!!!! Thank you so much! I used to hate doing my eyebrows now I feel so glam.
I’m so happy someone in the beauty community finally released a video on how to use dip brow CORRECTLY.
She's self-taught... She's so amazing, she's even better than those certified makeup artist...love you Alexandra
This is exactly what I needed to see!! I’ve been trying so many products and can’t get it to look right at all. Thank you!! And girl for real I think we all have that “favorite” brow. 😂
This is my first video of you and I saw it in my recommendation vids! totally fell in love with you! 🥰🥰
This is perfect , this is what I was looking for. I love a natural brow.
*me and my block brow watching this after brow catastrophes in middle school (pencil brow) and high school (sharpie brow)* oops I did it again
You’re so straightforward with everything you say and I find it so funny 😂 Subscribed
Love that you posted this! Very helpful, thank you!💜
Coronavirus has me so paranoid that I covered my mouth and backed away from my screen when you sneezed. 💀 lord help me
😂😂😂
Lmao 😂👏
Dayum I laughed WAY too hard at this comment! 😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣
@@JaedroCruz idk why but i even do this when i watch nail videos or tik toks. when they drill the nail and there’s all the dust, i literally blow on my phone like it’s gunna do something. 💀
There is nothing to be scare of the mask dosen't work
Anyone else actually say bless you aloud when Alex sneezed. 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
I just found your RUclips channel yesterday and I am OBSESSED. You’re amazing! 😍
I've been looking for a thin brow brush for sooo long, all I can say is Thank you love you videos
THANK YOU for constantly making informative content!!!!
I recently had stitches on my eyebrow and ended up losing a lot of hair at the start of my eyebrow, one eyebrow always comes out looking great and my little Franken-eyebrow always looks too harsh and I cannot seem to get it right!
I'm definitely going to try your techniques :) xx
i have an eyebrow scar too! but mines right like in thr middle lol or like 2:3 of the way in
I dont even have dipbrow, just watching cause it's you 😂
I'm loving your videos! Very informative and I love the delivery
Yessss; I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this, I've been doing this for the past 5 to 6 years.
RUclips put you in my recommendations; and I'm glad they did, you know have a new subscriber darling♡
i wish i could use it like this but my brow shape is so uneven that i need to legit paint on half of em. huge blob in the front and then super super thin tails.
Thanks Alex! I always end up with a muddy looking blob over my eye... gonna try it again
When in doubt, less is more ❤️
I really really like your recent videos on exactly teaching us how to do things. New subbie 🥰
I’m living for this natural makeup look!😍
I saw your insta and the stupid comments people were making, so just reassuring you I love the chatting and personalised touch to your videos rather than rapid fire "do this, do that". You take time to talk about products, and explain why you do what you do. If I wanted something sterile and boring I would go elsewhere. Dont change a thing ❤❤❤
This may sound really creepy but I love your voice! It’s just so clear and bright😍
Don’t worry I’m not a creep.
i’m going to try this technique tomorrow, i hope i can make mine look as good and natural as you do! thank you!!
Thanks for this, I need to try it out , this was very helpful !
Biggest takeaway: I have very dark brown hair and eyebrows as light as yours. I’ve been using a brow pencil the sand color as my HAIR, and it’s way blockier than I want! Your video has showed me exACTLY how to do it right. Thank you!
I drained my brush tip eyeliner. Cleaned it and use that to create hair like strokes w my elf brow pomade which I mixed w my dewy spray to a thick pudding consistency. I love it lol
Jeneca Laplant YOU ARE A GENIUS??? I have a dried up eyeliner pen like that and I’ll try that, thank you so much for sharing this info 😮
what?! this is awesome how can i drain mine?? is it a harder pen or one that is more hair like pen? thank u!!
Woah ?? I'll definitely try thatt
I used my physician formula eyeliner but any brush tip will work. I pull it apart and snip off the end. Takes about 5 min to get all the product out. I didn't like the formula anyways but it has lasted me years and it's one of my face tools
I'm late to the party but have you tried the Urban Decay brow blade? It has a pencil on one side and a very thin brow pen on the other side. I love it and am thinking about comparing it to this technique in my next video
Great tutorial! I always get the block look and have watched different tutorials to try to get the near perfect brow. Your video has helped me improve my method! Thank you🌹
I love how chill your videos are, also so well explained
If u want to make your soap portable like I did try this--I used an tiny old container that had had cuticle salve in it, washed it & I cut off a square out of the corner of the soap & shoved it in there so it fight tightly. I kept using it as a brush cleaner so I made a 2nd one lol. Mine are plastic w flip top lids but a mini Altoids tin or Burt's Bees tin/jar would also work.
Ps-the Neutrogena soap is clear thus worked better for my brows (tho on the note of brush cleaning the Dr. Bronner's is superior).
My whole issue with fluffy brows is the head of my brow, I’ve always liked a more rounded beginning very reminiscent of older Hollywood style actresses. And I feel like no matter how light handed I do this, in order to accomplish a higher arched shape I still need to fill them in so significantly that I feel like the end result isn’t at all the fluffy look 🤷🏻♀️
*Thank You* !! I needed this. You are awesome 👏❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Just what i needed to learn. Brilliant subject choice.
“Isn’t it cute? This one - what are you doing” lmao me every time I do my eyebrows!!
😂 but like....what is it doing for real 😑
I’m legitimately curious about who has time for this every morning/how long it actually takes. I have a little more eyebrow hair but not much, and my everyday eyebrow routine is a quick powder fill in because that’s all I have time for. But if I could do this every morning I 100% would!
Big reason I stopped using pomade frequently. But i was like, carving my brows out and shit. I just use two pencils, one that's a bit thicker to fill in the middle quickly and then nyx microbrow for the edges of the brow and do the inner brow. I can't even bring myself to wear makeup at all to work a lot of the time
this technique normally takes me around 15 minutes, sometimes longer if i carve out my brows with concealer and ensure each brow is to my liking. this has now become part of my “glam” routine rather than an everyday routine. my normal brow routine is also just a quick fill-in with powder or definer, though as of late i just run soap or tinted brow gel through.
I used to just use my Anastasia brow wiz and I didn’t make mine blocky, I always filled the tail darker I would shape them lightly and do hair strokes and I used to take 15+ mins but now I can do it in 2 lol it’s all about habit and once you get used to it you won’t take as long! Same with the pomade, you’ll get used to it and be able to just throw some hair strokes on and be done.
Sage W it really doesn’t take that long?for me it takes 5 mins for both brows with eyeshadow. yes, eyeshadow. before I got a pomade I always wet an eyeshadow and did my brows like this. With a pomade it’s already smooth and pigmented so it takes 2 mins cuz no mixing time. just takes practice girl.
I usually only use soap and it takes me at most 1 min, with product on top another 1-2 mins depending on how precise you want your brows to look
I’ve been trying to find the best way to create faux hairs and I’ve been experimenting with methods while on quarantine and this helped so much. Great vid!
Amazing! Just ordered mine last night after watching this and now I’m rewatching just because. Thank you for sharing.
I don't know if it's just me but this is the first time I see a video on how this is supposed to be used lol. I always imagine block brows which is why I stick to pencils. It's nice to see how I can use this in a natural way. Thanks!!!
Cynthia G I’ve seen more videos on this technique before, like Alison Wilburn, Sam Chapman...but it’s just that the more popular channels are more likely to showcase the more popular techniques, that aren’t exactly geared towards natural looking makeup. If you find beautubers/ig-ers that actually have had proper training and know what they’re doing, you can find some pretty awesome people that do beautiful things we can recreate daily and not look like we’re just done shooting an IG ad.
Nothing wrong with IG style makeup, it’s just that it tends to look beautiful in pictures with filters and photoshop but not that great in person, for daily life.
@@SNMarlene Definitely! I love this, I just tested out a pomade for the first time thanks to this video and love it!
Cynthia G I’m highly considering going out to purchase one today bc my brow gel is on its last legs and I’ve been trying the soap brow and found it really good. This video made me excited about this technique again :)
@@SNMarlene I tried the LA girl pomade, it's great!
“....it’s 2020, we have that technology.” Too funny. Love your videos!
Great video. I have blonde brows like you and drawing those block lines looks really funny. Thanks a bunch 😍
The best eyebrow tutorial I've seen. I've learned so much this past weekend viewing yout tutorials. Little tweaks can make such a difference. Thank you 💕💕
How do you feel about this technique vs the brow pen? I wanted to get a brow pen to draw in a few hairs, but now I’m wondering if I should just get some dip brow and a skinny brush.
I am literally thinking of doing a video on this. Because, just like you, I love my UD Brow Blade, and am super curious how this compares to brow pomade. On my way to Ulta...lol 🤣
ugh i wish i could do this w my eyebrows but they’re already thick so i can’t do anything but just fill in end the ends
Sam Puckett lucky girl
Your sense of humor and overall demeanor is so refreshing bro 🥺
Thank you! Always learn something new!
"that girl in high school who filled in her brows with like, an eyeliner pen"
hello that was me and I am also a dipbrow block chunk brow-doer and I needed this tutorial like, a lot
the first step is admitting there's a problem.
This opened up my eyes to dip brow. I never used it because I didn't know how.
Hope this helps!
Here for the basics!! Just subscribed ❤❤
you have been the answer to my BROW PRAYERS! I’ve been doing it all wrong and the girls at Sephora didn’t share this technique. THANK YOU!
No offense to the Sephora girls but....... they don't know A LOT
Really it takes time for me since I don't have pretty eyebrows from within 😰
Thanks a loooott
But you HAVE brows. I have sparse brows I cant NECESSARILY just fill in little lines like you. Your literally filling it in, meanwhile I have to draw them in.... love ya channel btw just a thought.
Same I have like 5 hairs 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭
SAME. If I tried doing this, I would have to create every single hair
I would say at the very least just create a little bit of an ombré so they don’t look like something from a mii character. Sometimes I’ll fill them in completely but with an ombré via a powder (something that matches the tone and depth of my hair but used with a light hand) and then go back with a pencil or dip brow to fill in just a couple hairs near the nose and tail. Do whatever makes you happy though.
yeah i felt attacked haha, if i had eyebrows like her i would probably never ever feel the need to do them, but i literally just CANT use this technique because i have very white eyebrow hair and like what? 10 hairs combined? on top of that, my hair is dyed black so i just need to do them darker and "blocky" because cant have dark hair colour and white eyebrows lmao
산드라 I can’t use this technique either lmao I have like no brows. I’ve tried to do this before multiple times and they just always end up looking like I drew them on anyways since I have so little 😭
I'm not a person to watch makeup videos, TBH, but I just came across this video on the RUclips homepage. I can't turn it off! Your voice and vibe are so relaxing and real. You exude confidence and I could listen to you talk all day ❤
Definitely helpful. You used minimal product and got an amazing result.
Your “bad” brow is better than my best brow on her best day!!!
I never learned to do my eyebrows & at this point, I thinks it’s too late 🤷🏻♀️
Colourpop also has a really nice brow/eyeliner brush, I’ve had mine for 3 years and it’s probably my best makeup purchase ever
Soooo weird I was just looking up videos of soap eyebrow method and I’m so happy you posted this!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️
I know I’m gonna keep using my brow pencil, but.. go off sis, show me how it needs to be done, go stoopid on them brows. 🥴💕
(Also, we have the exact same brows, I’m not even kidding. Those little hair on the bottom of the beginning of your brow, the “good” brow being little bit sharper and more defined at the end and the another one more bushy and sparse.)
I wish you would have filled in the left brow. I have those sparse spots at the beginning and would have liked to see you fill that in. But still a great video.🕊💖👄
Your amazing!!! Love your personality
Omg thanks i love it i wanted to buy the Anastasia's Dip Brow but i just saw people doing these block brows and so i didn't purchase it but thanks now i definitely will!! You help me with so many things, also with my light olive skin haha
