it's great that even after graduating as a Mechanical engineering Diploma student,I still watch your RUclips videos and they still Make sense for someone looking for a job❤ cheers Bro
How about making a transition from tech to something like engineering? I'm a UX/UI Designer and have been thinking a lot about moving into something more traditional like engineering since I'm quite burnt out of working just with digital products and want to go more hands-on with physical stuff. Do you think it's possible to make such a transition?
Right now I'm in my first semester of mechanical engineering, would it be a wise idea to switch over to mechatronics and still become a mechanical DESIGN engineer, as its more "techy" than mechanical. I chose mechanical due to its broad scope and my interest in becoming a mechanical design engineer, but I'm finding out that engines aren't the most intriguing to me, but I also wouldn't like to be on the other extreme and work on CPU architecture
Hi Tamer! I’ve watched your videos for a while now, and the best piece of advice you have given is the portfolio. I cannot stress this enough, but having one made the application and interview process so much easier. A piece of advice that I would really appreciate from you would be, how to negotiate first full-time position salary. I have accumulated a great amount of mechanical engineering intern experience throughout my undergrad and now my graduate years in school, and I believe that with the experience and the soon to be, two degrees, I can negotiate something greater than the initial offer. If you are comfortable with it, can make a video describing how you went about doing this? Thank you for outputting amazing content, keep it up!
What exactly do you consider dirty mech jobs? Can you mention some positions names What are techie mech jobs? Can you mention some position names? I’m studying mechanical engineering and I’m set to finish in October. I would like to work in a techie mech job but I don’t know exactly what to look for or what position names to look for in companies. I am doing an internship in Luma Energy and in August I will start a CoOp in Pratt and Whitney. I hope I can someday get a job where I feel like I’m making a change in the world while doing something that is a great break through for the future. Hope you respond. And if I have a chance maybe contact you. Please let me know. If not, you’re doing a good job with these videos.
I always see the advice of a portfolio, but it’s hard to build a portfolio when the designs you make are proprietary or not allowed to be shared. If your in school and you have school projects then that’s usually fine, but as a working professional your only course of action is to design something outside of work that can demonstrate a similar level of skill. As a working professional where are you supposed to get the time to do that man 😅. Also, is the only reason tech companies ask overly complex examples and require tons of hoops to jump through solely because they have high demand roles? Boeing hires mechanical engineers without these super intense processes and they build planes, but I need to regurgitate an entire degree’s worth of information to build a test stand for an iPhone like wtf 🤷🏾♂️??? I just wish hiring managers would just be straight up about it all, that’s all.
bro i am from india studying undergraduate in mehc ical engineering not from that much top college as you have applied to tesla i have amazed as i know you are from waterloo university and my quesition is that how i can make big in mechanical engineering
I believe I can answer that. Hope this reaches you. 1. Get skilled. Choose an area of your field and become expert of it. Don't hesitate to buy related books, practice real life projects. Use RUclips for your advantage. Be best on that area. 2. Be above average in other subjects. As I said, have collection of books so that you can take references anytime if needed. 3. Make connections. Be on LinkedIn. Share your experience on social media. Basically have a portfolio ready on social media. Join conferences if possible. Know how companies and their bureaucracy works. Know what's happening around the world in engineering. And most importantly, be good at English communication. Know how to write, how to speak, and how to express thoughts professionally. Not like a tiktoker. I hope that will be enough. And please, never stop upgrading yourself. Once you get into a company, start learning more and switch to a bigger one.
he worked at tesla dud. Also, rejected by FAANG after multiple interview as a ME is a plus, cuz you can't even get an interview at these tech companies yourself.
@@symtrialContract is not the same as FTE, dud. Also, you haven’t seen my resume so I’m not sure why you think I’ve never worked at any of these companies 😂
I recently had an Interview with SpaceX due to your advice! Thank you!
You get the job?

Yo great stuff man this kind of mechanical engineering content is really lacking in India and guided me, was a great help from you!!!
Very informative!!! 🔥👏🏼
What are your thoughts on Value Validation Projects and how can engineers use them to land their dream roles?

Do you have project suggestions for a student who wants to apply to these companies? I’m planning on doing an independent study project
