Im almost afraid that Rowan thinks *uploading data to the Cloud* would literally tie documents onto a helium balloon and send it off flying up
With such a newsletter, that would make sense !
They NEED to do skit about that.
That's a great skit idea actually 💀
To be fair that is exactly what he would think.
This needs to happen!!!!!
Real hit of nostalgia when Alan said "Rowan, you can't just keep running off like this, you’re the manager!"
*you’re/you are
@@tomasruzicka6427 I don't think he is being graded online? why use more letters (or proper grammar) when everyone can understand what "your" refers to?
As it's a common mistake, that can be hard to get rid of {was off}. Nobody called anyone names here, correcting someone is not offending someone. Just trying to help out. People do judge books by their cover, so the {i forgot the} better your literacy is, the more serious you appear to others. I always am glad to be corrected by someone, especially in english, as my grammar isn't perfect either @@Official_Solok
I corrected few mistakes that I've done and have been pointed out to me. Thanks!
I have a problem, that I still think in my mother language and when I'm in the flow, I tend to forget about some stuff or the... Order? of my words is all weird. But you made me pay attention to that, and so my chances for making that mistake are a bit smaller (yet obviously I'm going to do even more mistakes on the way ;p )
Been a long time since that was said. Made me happy too
Love that Rowan realizes his stupidity but then tries to mentally avoid the consequences😅. I could see a later clip with his father actually being upset at the bad management that cost the store money from said mistakes. Though given his dad, that will be short-lived and somehow turns into an opportunity 😂.
The way Alan hung up the phone just finished me, like realising the toddler is doing something stupid.. then the patience to go along with it to see where Rowan is going
lol that near killed me to. He knows Rowan so well, to know he wrecked it and now just needs the details lol
omg same xD
Alan has great experience with this with his real life children
@@VivaLaDirtLeague oh god imagine Rowan as a dad...
Children, heck I work with some of these people.
Can we please all appreciate the subtle theft in the beginning of the skit 😂
Good on you for noticing 😎
He he 😎
I had to pause for laughing.
After what Rowan did to those 20 computers, I wouldn’t bother honestly.
Alan knew immediately that the value of the stolen item was minuscule compared to what Rowan screwed up again.
2:05-2:06 I love how Alan brought back the same thing that he said in the old Playtech store whenever Rowan would run off. Nice flashback memory.
Edit: thank you all for 1k likes
That was in the very first bored episodes 😂
I said the same thing
Was about to say the same thing 😊
Hell yeah
It might be my absolute favorite running bit
That customer smoothly went from paying to stealing once Rowan appeared.
The $80 controller is definitely the least of their worries at that point :D
It was a nice touch.
Didn't even notice that, thank you
My thoughts exactly !!! Like he was in the process of paying. But 129.99$ vs 50 Computers hmmmmm
He was being a good customer! Manager says "go" he went...
Wouldn't the water ruin the cookies? Try a milk cooling system next time.
Oh damn, you beat me to this joke by only 22 minutes! 😂
PLEASE make this a skit LMFAO
i've read this comment in rowan's voice for some reason
OMG, yes.
NOW I finally understand, why you have to run the coolant through tubes 🤦♂
Nah the water wouldn't ruin the cookies, because as you saw in the video to water cool would mean to have the case open. Therefore the cookies wouldn't build up in the case causing the computer to slow down. Computing 101.
When Alan started the question "Rowan, how many..." with that tone i actually got instant flashbacks of Free samples and Free laptop episodes.
For me, it’s when Rowan went “Oooh” at 1:39
Eventually, Rowan will mention something not working/a deal/etc, and Alan will just jump straight to "how badly did you fuck up?"
"You're the manager!"
Be still, my nostalgic heart😂
I didn't know how much I missed "You can't keep running off like this, you're the manager!!"
Yeah it was like a call back to the first ever episode.
@@DeckardRedand 15 out of the next 50.
Same 😂
I like how he acts like he’s on a phone call with his mumbling as he leaves lol
I can't believe Alan actually convinced Rowan that he did something wrong.
It was the flatmate with benefits talk and the failed friday night drinks that started to make rowan start to attempt to listen to others more. He has made it to 2 questions before running away and you can tell from rowans acting that h really tried to fight the urge to run. In addition rowan is no longer running. He is now walking, but things do change after we turn 30. I know the bored series has been light-hearted and funny. But i do sense a dark day coming. Too much foreshadowing and the way the "story world" has been set and things focused on... im gonna miss them.
It happened in another sketch too, always satisfying
@@ITR *2 sketches
@@duskthegamer4129 o, i didn't remember if it was 1 or 2, nice.
There was another sketch...free laptop with every purchase of a USB stick.
I love how as soon as alan heard throw more water he ended the call. He knew what had happened
I actually don't think he did.
But he DID know it was something really, reeeeeally bad xD
He already failed, we all know it long before that part. Alan still trust Rowan too much...😅
Alan's face at that moment is the face of everyone who's ever had a boss that THINKS they know how things work (i.e., everyone who's ever worked for a boss instead of being a boss)

That's not how Free Samples Work!
Half expected Rowan to tell Bri’s cardboard cutout to quit standing around
Merchandise opportunities... Brit cardboard cutout...
I just can't believe that Rowan actually understood the problem. The character development!
YES!
0:07 like how the dude didn't hesitate to steal $100+ of tech when given the opportunity 😂
And got away with it too!
Yep 😀
I'm just happy Britt is still there giving top tier customer service
And bit of eye candy for us

"You can't just keep walking off!" - my breath stops and me heart is running wild in anticipation - "You're the manager!" - and I'm even jump on my chair with a big smile of nostalgic joy.
We need a super-cut of Rowan walking away from problems.
How about hours of rowan doing the catwalk cause hes *flex and pose and hold* a model.

I was expecting Rowan to think that water cooling is intended to cool water. He would be complaining because water came out actually warm.
That would be Ben.

Did you just basically wrote an idea for another Scit?
That was absolutely classic Viva La Dirt League
😂
Rowan, you can't just walk away, you're the manager! 😂
Alan's mannerisms could be used in acting schools to show aspiring actors how to simultaneously look concerned and indifferent.
I actually appreciate the Bored videos where Rowan actually realizes just how badly he's screwed up rather than just bluster his way through to the end card. Even if he runs away from taking responsibility, he still knows.... he did bad.
They should also make disclaimers at the end of videos like this one, assuring people that no functional computer parts were harmed in the making of these videos.

Rowans "mumble aways" are one of my fave things
I like the little detail of the customer pocketing the item he was going to buy when Rowan nudged him out of the way.
Was not in the script, but did not know what to do with the box. It then turned out to be funnier than expected 😀
@alfonsodeorleans-borbon1378 it played so well into the theme of the series, nice job on the improv 💯
when alan was on the phone and he hung up soon as he knew lol priceless
"he said the line!!!" man that brings memories hahaha
Was waiting to see him running out of the back door when Alan said he couldn't just walk away
The customer snagging his purchase and skittleing away at the bellow of a wild Rowan is survival instincts in action! So majestic!
Yep. And did not even plan for it to be like that…
Just rewatched that part... didn't even notice even though his massive coat was the first thing I saw on first watch XD and that expression when Alan realised what he was doing haha
It was not in the script. Since I did not know what to do with it, I just stuffed it in my jacket, and Alan looked visibly shocked, then we laughed about it. Great guys to work with.@@InvisiblerApple
A very classic skit by Bored, love it! But what really got me cackling was the customer quickly stuffing the product in his coat on the way out
Yep. Was not in the script, but did not know what to do with it, so just tucked it away. Turned out funnier than I thought 😀
Thank you ever so much for not dragging the confrontation through repetition, it made the video so much snappier and higher quality, thank you!
This is on the same level as Rowan mining for bit coin
Or giving a free laptop with every USB stick
Rowan never stops finding new ways to fix equipment. What a professional! 👍
As soon as I hear he is pouring water my eye twitched
I love it when Rowan has "a thing".
Got some classic Rowan "uh-oh' mumbling. Alan clicking the hang up button was the best part.
"You're the manager!" Man it feels like forever since we heard Alan say that 😂
So today this store lost 50 computers and a 130 dollar console. Nice leadership Rowan
It wasn't a console. Just a gamepad
If he counts like he does in D&D, its nowhere near 50. So the store will be fine.......or completely bankrupt.
Put them in boxes filled with rice and send them to that guy that fixes hardware on their youtube channel
To be fair the old store was losing more money paying Elly than anything.
And a while ago he was giving away free samples of headphones that cost hundreds of dollars. How is this place still open?
The handling of that phone call at the start was amazing
hey that customer stealing the stick without paying lol
I love how Alan just hangs up the phone immediately he was like you know what show me what’s going on
To be fair, there actually is a variant of liquid cooling that involves filling the case entirely with the liquid. If I recall correctly, it's some type of oil that is completely non-conductive to electrical currents (electrical current literally cannot pass through it). On the flip side, it conducts heat away from the parts very effectively due to them being fully submersed in it (as opposed to the contact-based methods of air and conventional water cooling). The downside, of course, is that it makes it an absolute nightmare to replace parts.
But once the liquid has absorbed the heat, where does the heat go? Does it just build up until the liquid becomes hot and needs to be replaced or does the liquid go through a radiator of some kind?
@@michaelhoward142 mineral oil which used for this type of cooling have very high thermal mass. Which means: It takes a LOT of energy to heat up significantly and and it seems that in most cases that is enough.
Still, one can use durable water pump (oil is heavy and more viscous than water) and use either car or common water-cooling radiator.
Submersive water-cooling would actually work some time (days? weeks?) with distilled water, but my guess is that you would need constantly filter it, so it would remain distilled. Other issue - distilled water a very good solvent, I think there is a risk that it start damaging coating materials of the computer parts. If that is what would happen, likely after metals get exposed it would not be possible to keep water distilled.
@@L1vv4nInteresting. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. 👍
immersive cooling - primary requirement of the coolant used (typically oil-variants) is that it has to be electrically none-conductive, to prevent what Rowan experiences, which is why dielectric fluids are typically used. Distilled water, as mention by another commenter does not have this property, but de-ionized water does (which is likely what he actually means).
Depending on the size vs. heat dissipation requirements, some systems have enough thermal inertia to allow passive dissipation from the coolant (meaning no pump/radiators) whereas other systems still require the coolant to eventually be pumped through a radiator or heat exchangers to transport the heat away to a suitable "sink" (ambient air and/or the ground and/or space).
0:26 Alan's reaction at this moment is like "Oh sh!t" - the best moment! :D
Although working in a company for development boards I remember in my early years in there I have been hearing my colleagues talking about "washing the boards" and I was thinking that this is just their way of saying "cleaning" with some sort of special substance and a cloth or something like that.
Until one day... I saw it. Literally a boards in the sink poured with water! I mean the boards were not obviously plugged into electricity and the most water-sensitive components were soldered yet but still that shocked me! :D
Really hope they rinsed it with alcohol afterwards or corrosion would destroy everything in a few months
@@Splinter047 they did indeed! That was the other thing that I was wondering what the hell it is. But apparently that was a standard procedure back then to clean up any residual soldering and other materials. Lately I haven't seen them doing that because now the soldering technology has significantly improved and it's a lot cleaner.
Worked with electronics repair for a while. We used to put the boards of electronics in the dishwasher.
Just clean up and let dry properly. Even if you bathe the board in isopropyl you need to let it dry for a few days before continuing repairs.
@@stanimir5F There's literally a cleaning agent specifically for cleaning after soldering.
