The Chosen One wearing the Vault Dweller's "tribal-ised" power armor helmet and vault suit with Sergeant Granite and his squad behind him is such a great shot. Amazing work as always.

Everyone talks about how badass Frank is, but can we talk about the Chosen One? Motherfucker takes down an entire army, and doesn't even flinch when he sees an eight foot freak who wants to rip their head off

Chosen one is by far the most badass Fallout protagonist and Frank is by far the greatest Fallout final boss, can't talk your way out of that one, you have to fight.

2nd game and it broke tradition in the greatest way possible. With fallout 3 you can’t lose against eden. The dialogue system in 4 took away the power the words could have had. 76, it’s a feral dragon bat there’s no choice. The master and lanius could be talked down but they had the presence to still make it awesome.
With frank talking was an option, and HE declined to pick the violent option.
@@changvasejarik62 I think I like Horrigan because it's a fairly realistic depiction of what would happen here.
Talking someone down from fighting in such a high-stakes situation that could have impact on the years to come is a legendary feat.
But the Chosen One isn't that type of legendary. The Vault Dweller was for killing/talking down the master, but the Chosen One to me makes more sense to be to not as good with words. They're a character of action, not words.

If either is true then killing him was the only solution then, since his plan was to take you down and undo your victory by working with the capital or Chicago enclave.
Horrigan has a 10 in every stat. He’s smarter, stronger, and more charismatic. He’s in control of the dialogue here.

I think it's safe to say most battles went with the Chosen One pressing a button on the presidential security terminal and Horrigan getting shredded by turrets.

Frank Horrigan himself might be visually memorable and intimidating, but the fight in itself is unfortunately pretty bullshit, as you have no choice but to cheat in order to take him out.

Adam Smasher reminded me a lot of Frank Horrigan. More machine than man, a foul beast with an insatiable bloodlust who spoke in a low growl.
Same character archetype actually. And Smasher is an older character thanks to the tabletop game.

Even the writers said that if it wasn’t for the plot that Frank Horrigan would’ve easily destroyed the Chosen One & even survived the explosion of the oil rig 💀
You can say the same about alot of protagonist where they shouldve lost but only won due to plot armor, since most protagonist are the underdog and were being underestimated 420.69% of the time.
Should have added "Cmon Mutie, time to die" to the blackout at the end
Man the first 2 fallout games were by far the best in the franchise.

I like how badass the chosen one looks in this. I used to think of the chosen one as some inexperienced idiot walking around the wasteland with zero strength but this actually makes me relise how much of a menace he is
