Anyone from a family of millionaires, has more privilege than anyone else regardless of skin color. That girl needs some serious life experience.

5:00 I'm white, my parents didn't go to college. Grew up poor. I went to a state school and worked and saved to be able to afford it. Black students in my year got a free pass for tuition, materials and even housing (I lived at home and walked to school).

Privilege or no privilege, no one is getting an education because they sit around talking about this crap. Whatever happened to academics?

Great grandfather was a slave who started with NOTHING. Instilled ye ol protestant ethic in his dozen or so kids. My grand dad did same. My dad did same. My dad grew up in poverty as his dad died when he was 10. So he started working at age 10 along with his 4 siblings.
He went on to surprise me with a trust fund upon his death. While he experienced racism - it was never an excuse. Life isn’t fair. Deal with it.

In 2023, I would rather be a beautiful woman of any race than anyone else. Pretty privilege opens doors, even when dealing with other women. I have seen so many girls get unearned opportunities that would never be offered to a man with the same credentials. I do believe that there is something to white privilege, but everyone has aspects to their life that provide opportunities and others that put up barriers. You just have to live your life and not make excuses for any struggles you have.

You have an excellent point. Youth also plays a part in the power a beautiful woman has. She is usually too inexperienced for most of the time of her peak power to be able to take full advantage of it.

@@danielpearl923 I agree, that many young women fail to take advantage of what is offered them. I personally know of two such cases. One was given an executive position and failed to put in the effort to succeed and the other was given a recording contract as a singer and ruined it because of substance abuse. Not that everyone else isn't equally capable of botching up opportunities but it is less likely if they had to work hard to get there.

I agree but the white privilege people refer to only apply in countries that are majority white. I’ll bet these people don’t think black privilege is a thing in majority black countries.

Im white, love all colours and don't think any race is better than another genuinely. But how about Indian privilege, they come from India, probably have as much or less resources than average black American and yet they can come here and start businesses and become engineers and doctors. Alot of what is holding black Americans back right now is their own views on themselves and the world, historically they have been oppressed sure, their culture and history stolen no doubt,

I'm sure her immigrant grandparents would love to have a conversation with her about how they got wealthy from being "lucky". That's the problem though, isn't it? Nobody believes they need to work hard or that anyone else has worked hard. It all comes down to luck with them- either you are white and lucky, or anyone else and unlucky. Except maybe your grandparents managed to get some of that white luck. But even with that luck and the generational wealth, you still arent lucky now if you arent white.
PS I wrote this and then you immediately mentioned the luck, thing 😂 I would love for you to interject and share your thoughts more during the clips. I follow this professor already and I watch his videos, but I came here to hear what you thought!

I drew up dirt poor, Didn't go to university, absolutely failed in school, Black kids had more resources from government assistance, Money to go to school, tuition, books and the like, went to school bare foot didn't get shoe until year 8 at school because we could not afford them, I worked hard and long to build something I had less opportunities because of the colour of my skin and gender "WHITE MALE" after years of hard struggle I build something of army family and net worth of over 20 million $$$$$$$$ the same kids that I went to school with that had better opportunities those same kids that could have gone on to greater thing Because of EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND RIGHTS threw it away.
