Shildt, deserves to be considered for MoY..with the way he and his coaching staff has kept their players competitive and basically in 2nd place since the outset. They now sit at 6.5 games behind LA...and all Im thinking about is what he said in Spring Training "we want to win the division". 6.5 games behind the leader with 3 mths left of the regular season, is not a bad spot to be in, pre-trade deadline.

That to cut at AJ after shildt talked about the people signing his checks was hilarious

Im glad San Diego has 70’s all day becuase im in the inland empire and we had 109 today and it is miserable. Glad our players can play in nice weather

When they get back to (or @ least almost) full health, these Padres should absolutely dominate! Just think…they are playing fantastic baseball right now. This is without 2 top of the rotation pitchers (Musgrove and Darvish) and without Tatis, Bogaerts and Campusano.
When/if this team gets fully healthy, I can’t imagine anyone not choosing them to be a World Series champion contender or at the least, a deep playoff contender.
