Oh, sweet! Great crunch on a hollow tone. Sounds brilliant. I can totally imagine using a tone like that on one of my jam tracks I have at home. Great stuff, Fluff!
I wonder when they will do an amp with slots that we can add pedals like a hard drive disk on the back of the amp. and then have a foot switch that can memorize all settings for different banks, if you know what I mean.
I really like how this amp sounds. Not a sound I'd typically go for, a little more clarity would do wonders I think. But it's very warm and vibrant, and it'd make a great blues/ southern rock amp!
Seamus McFlanery : Baron k88, the Bugera infinium amps can take any octal-base (8 pins) tubes as well as having the ability to mix any octal-base tubes (Bugera said this themselves multiple times - I even emailed them myself about this very thing.) Also, Elmwood m90 is a 90 watt amp with 2 kt88's, and I'm pretty sure vht (aka Freyette? or something like that) sig x, but yeah, there's Kerry King's signature Marshall head with 88's in there too. I'm sure theres more, but that's all I can remember for now.
The thing about all these ultra high gain amps is honestly, with this much gain they all start to sound very similar. I can tell the difference between something British vs American, but after that there doesn't seem to be much. Although, the feel is probably the biggest difference between amps, but unfortunately that's impossible to recreate on RUclips.
Play a Splawn Quickrod and then play a Diezel Herbert and tell me they sound the same. These amps all have their own thing going on, it's very easy to tell the difference between them.
So I'm really looking into ordering one of these but their website doesn't have a place to order one. I'm also wondering how this compares to a 5150 which is what I'm currently using.
***** I'd understand the like/dislike ration although criticism can be helpful even though it would be more aimed at the amp maker than yourself Fluff, Cheers!!!!
***** They can tell whether a video is good, bad, or controversial. To give an example, crappy news sites or sensationalist videos often have either a plethora of dislikes, or both the likes and comments disabled to block any criticism. A lot of people will flat out just not watch a video under those circumstances because 9 times out of 10, it's usually shite. Likes will almost always overshadow dislikes, but a lot of dislikes is an indicator that something is very wrong.
Pros prefer MIDI control. Well, let me rephrase that. GUITAR TECHS for touring bands prefer MIDI control simply to route all effects processing through a TC Electronics rack, or whatever. You can actually create routing hubs with a MIDI system, to have selected pedals operate whenever you hit a switch. For the everyday joe schmoe guitar player, it's overkill, but once you go MIDI, you will never go back.
probably this is easier then making a custom cable (din - TRS). Still know a lot of pros who like their stompboxes with them on stage. It drawed my attention since I bought an EVH 5150 a couple of weeks ago. Before that I only played with older amps like Marshall DSL, Peavey 5150 and Krank Rev1.
Where did you fetch one of these beauties in North America? I'd be curious to know if the MiniNightmare sounds similar enough. Because this tone is definitely what I'm looking for.
Jerome Malphas why??? the only reason to have a roller bridge is to have either a bigsby or a fender jaguar trem. or i guess those weird gibson sort of tremolo things. i don't see any way that a roller would be beneficial on an rr5. it would probably just kill some sustain.
You could always send it my way if it takes up too much space. I know how much of a burden having expensive, high quality gear can be haha i could even do a reveiw of it and you could critique me lmao
God, this is the most intruiging amp I've heard since the start of 2015! Fluff, how's the clean, is it Fender or Vox or Marshall clean? Also, it doesn't seem to have much compression especially when compared to other German amps like H&K, Engl and Diezel. I assume it's like a more organic sounding Recto in terms of gain, is it?
Sounds the same as last few videos you made such as ISP preamp etc..In future tweak those new (amps) guys a little bit different please.I hear just mids all the time.Nice low end.Cool video as always.Cheers.
I've been saying for years, I don't understand why amp makers don't have an onboard OD boost. Even more so, I'm surprised you don't see more collaborations with the Maxons or Ibanezes of the world, licensing their OD circuitry into other amp manufacturer's amps and requesting a "with Ibanez TS9 built in" or something. Or maybe that's just a bad idea all around. lol
You should check out Verellen Amps! I believe the builder Ben Verellen is located in Seattle or thereabouts. I think you would totally dig the Sky Hammer and Meatsmoke amps he makes. www.verellenamplifiers.com/
meh...... its good tone but nothing really new...... and looking at pricing its worth buying the pedal separate..... awesome playing and good tone however!.
I love watching your writing style change. You just get better and better! That being said, not brootle enough. Have you even heard of mashugar? Unsubscooby.
I love it that these new modern amps are coming stock with more back-panel and foot-switchable features.
This is one of the best sounding videos you've made. Well done. Amp sounds killer
This amp sounds sick! it sounded very good on every demo I've heard so far. So much punch and clarity, crazy.
Oh, sweet!
Great crunch on a hollow tone. Sounds brilliant. I can totally imagine using a tone like that on one of my jam tracks I have at home.
Great stuff, Fluff!
K88 no wonder why it sounds so good
I got the STL Tones Mark Lewis preset pack and there's a few Driftwood Purple Nightmare Presets in there and they are honestly my favorites.
Well done fluff great demo, that intro melted myface!
100 watts, switchable to 2 watts... Well... That (de)escalated quickly.
Loving those Mastodonesque riffs, brother!
What about the ibanez amp with the tube screamer in it? Im sure they were the first.
That is one sick riff!! Loving the sound.
Cool handy features in there. Would help a lot with cluster of pedals.
Hey Fluff, I like how you showed the back of the amp in the not as heavy sections. was a cool little editing thing to do.
I wonder when they will do an amp with slots that we can add pedals like a hard drive disk on the back of the amp. and then have a foot switch that can memorize all settings for different banks, if you know what I mean.
Yeah check out Salvation mods. The Randall heads for em are getting rarer, but I believe Egnater is reissuing the design of the rack and head units.
Sounds like a modeling amp with expansion features, we're half way there.
its like having an analog muilti effects rack set into the amp
This amp sounds great. Kind of like a rectifier meets uberschall with more features. I dig it.
I really like how this amp sounds. Not a sound I'd typically go for, a little more clarity would do wonders I think. But it's very warm and vibrant, and it'd make a great blues/ southern rock amp!
Dude, it's not the amp that lacks clarity. Look at the pickups he's using.
great sounding amp! thanks for sharing!
Off topic: is the head sitting on a rockcr8?
Here's another one.. This didn't show up in my sub page.. what else am I missing.
Sounds awesome love the song
does having the cab facing the wall when mic'ed hepl with feedback/echo?
Why is the cab facing the other way. Thanks
***** LOL!!!!! just curious . Like the new look in the studio BTW
Are we going to see a video of the panama amp??
whoop
How much are they? The price isn't on their website.
Hey fluff it would be epic to see a video like this on the blackstar ht club 50?
Ryan "Fluff" Bruce how does it compare to the Revv Generator? Does it have more oomph and grit to it? No chance you could do a comparison?
Can u do a comparison of the driftwood and the revv generator? And which do u prefer?
Anyone know of any amps that have KT88s in them stock? Other than this one of course.

Hey Fluff, Can you do a review on a Krank Amp?
Jack Boulter
yeah
Okay!

Seems like a very versatile amp. Have you ever tried the Blackstar HT series amps?
Thanks for the gear demos.
So I'm really looking into ordering one of these but their website doesn't have a place to order one. I'm also wondering how this compares to a 5150 which is what I'm currently using.
just write a mail to them!!
0:04 what is the intro song for all of Fulff's vids? It sounds godly...
itunes.apple.com/au/album/failed-the-intro-song-single/id837749110 Song by the one and only Fluff - Failed
Would be nice to hear some heavy sustained chords.
Are these old imperial pickups new? Or are they still beard combers?
So what did you think of the amp as far as sound goes?
This sounds killler dude. Is this boosted or just guitar straight in? Tons of chewy saturation goodness.
It also kind of reminds me of a dual rectifier except with a little grind.
How come liking/disliking on fluffs videos doesn't work anymore?
***** I thought he didn't care.
***** fair enough, keep up the great videos btw :D

Yes, who cares if people like what you do and how? You already know they do like it.

Good!!!Very nice song Fluff!!!
Love the faqs during video edit brother.
Thanks!!
How does the Driftwood compare to the Rhodes?
There both Guitar amps lol..
Are you gonna make a video on the changes you've made to your studio?
Awesome!
Digging the new intro song for your vids
Hey Fluff, how does it compare to the Revv Generator? Thanks
It looks like all brands are switching over from TRS to 7pin DIN nowadays. Has this only have something to do with midi control? Or other reasons?

Nice vid and demo.
Thanks. :)
Check out your Randall please
FLUFF!!!!! Another awesome video, just a quick question what is your warm up-practice routine...
I liked this amp but I want to hear that randall that you have in the background
Garbage.
Where did you fetch one of these beauties in North America? I'd be curious to know if the MiniNightmare sounds similar enough. Because this tone is definitely what I'm looking for.
I think the mini version sounds almost the same... You can easily ask Driftwood:) They have a great service.
How much would that amp cost in GBP?
10000000
hi fluf great video!!!! what camera did you use for recording?
Out of all the amps that you have tried, which one is your favorite?
Hey fluff, just wondering if you have ever tried a roller bridge at all or had an opinion on them, really want to put one on my RR5. Thanks \m/
Jerome Malphas why??? the only reason to have a roller bridge is to have either a bigsby or a fender jaguar trem. or i guess those weird gibson sort of tremolo things. i don't see any way that a roller would be beneficial on an rr5. it would probably just kill some sustain.
givemeajackson I put it on my rr5 it's perfectly fine I don't like the sharpness of the original
Hey bro, how do you like this next to the Orange RV MKIII?
Destroys it
Holy shit-fucks, Batman, that was brutal as hell! Loved it!
Fluff, how much does this amp cost?
this demo amp is 2300usd ;-)
Fluff, I can't find a usd price for this amp; i need to know how much to sell my car for lol
***** that's actually not too bad. For all that, i would expect a hell of a higher price tag
You could always send it my way if it takes up too much space. I know how much of a burden having expensive, high quality gear can be haha i could even do a reveiw of it and you could critique me lmao
And that is how you reference old videos in jokes ladies and gentleman
Hey Fluff, how do you make your guitar always sound so airy?
*****
What is your go to mic combo?
Hey Fluff what are some good non-big name amp companies like Driftwood and Mojotone? I'm kinda jonesing for a new amp.
Nice looking vicoustics . do they work or is it only for looks? ;)
Look lol..
g'day fluff, are you a fan of multi-scale fan fretted guitars. thoughts? peace!
Yess Awesome Amp!! I have one :D
wow that les paul looks tiny on you
Bogensohn he should get a buckethead les paul wich has an oversized body
fluff goes emo with the hair

Maybe one day there will be a high gain amp with a nice lean channel.
Already been done.
Framus Dragon
Greg Bradshaw
I second that

I'd say this was a good hair day for you:)
Mommy where's FLUFfy
meh...... its good tone but nothing really new...... and looking at pricing its worth buying the pedal separate..... awesome playing and good tone however!.
If I had $3,500 to spend on a 100w amp. This would be the one I get.
Psshh!! You heard one you heard em all imho..
