    Turned out great. Thanks for being honest (funny) with the mishaps and mistakes. It helps to know when you're not the only one that runs into problems in a build.

    Like you said, put scraps to good use!
    This is one project I will definitely use in my shop! I'm with you, the added structural rigidity of the sliding dovetails is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Great upgrade !! Really good video too! Little trick for when routing a dovetail Chanel , remove most of the waste on the table saw with a dado stack then you only have to rout out the angle parts of the dovetail. Safer, easier and saves the wear on the cutter... What tool will you get to fill up that new floor space ?;)

    Love the design Matt, totally makes the most use of a small space. I'm going to make one this week! Only thing I think i may do different is instead of trying to screw the back panel to the wall, I'll set up a french cleat so if i get more clamps, i just have to set up another rack panel. Now, I have to ask...how long has the bromance been going on? I've seen you on Jay's videos and have to say that you guys seem to work great together.

    • @MattLaneWoodshop
      @MattLaneWoodshop  8 лет назад

      +Harry Kline
      That's probably a good idea on the French Cleat, I had given some thought to doing the same thing.
      Hahaha, we met last year at WIA and had been sorta conversing back and forth for a while. I contacted him about collaborating and we got together after this last woodworking show. It was a lot of fun working with him and he's a super cool dude!

    Good video, bro. If this was already mentioned, disregard but it looked like your router fence was moving quite a bit at the far end. Make a video for us fixing this issue :)

    • @MattLaneWoodshop
      @MattLaneWoodshop  8 лет назад

      +directorgtr
      The fence wouldn't have been moving because it locks into position. Thanks for watching!

    • @directorgtr

      Looking closer, I think you're right. It's actually the entire table slightly moving.

    Nice. I didn't quite follow some of the geometry layout tricks though.

    • @MattLaneWoodshop
      @MattLaneWoodshop  8 лет назад

      +Art Mechanics
      If you are referencing when I marked out for even spaces, then all you have to do is pull the tape measure up on a diagonal until you get to a number that is easily divided by whatever number you need and then make each mark. Like if the board measures 18 3/8 and you need 4 even spaces, just pull the tape on the diagonal until you reach 20 and you know 5,10,and15 are gonna be your marks. Just mark each one below the tape at that mark and you have your even spaces. It just simplifies the math. I hope I didn't confuse you more haha.

    • @ArtMechanicsLosAngeles
      @ArtMechanicsLosAngeles 8 лет назад +1

      I'll give it a shot. Thanks its a cool trick!
