Thanks for being open with your mistakes, you won't believe how encouraging they can be!
+Mark Feliciano
Thank you, I have no problem sharing my learning experiences!
Turned out great. Thanks for being honest (funny) with the mishaps and mistakes. It helps to know when you're not the only one that runs into problems in a build.
+Lissa Sue
Thank you, a lot more mistakes happen in these videos than people realize. I like to share my experiences if it helps, mistakes and all!
Like you said, put scraps to good use!
This is one project I will definitely use in my shop! I'm with you, the added structural rigidity of the sliding dovetails is much appreciated.
Thanks
+Ludwig Barnes
Thank you, definitely a good scrap wood project!!
HOLY CRAP DUDE... Desktop background is EPIC... Subbed for that by itself!!
Lol, the pic of you and Jay Bates with the heart around it on the computer is funny. Great video!
+Average Guy Woodworking
haha, thanks man!
I feel ya brother. We have the exact same shop situation. I've been putting it off too. You inspired me to git-r-done.
Thanks. Loved the video.
I liked this sliding dovetails! Cool project!
+Scrap wood City
Thanks, it was fun cutting them!!
Great video Matt! I like the humor and thanks for the video. Great idea for a clamp rack.
Great video! Your screensaver thing was soooo funny, love it!
+Just Fooling Around
hahaha, thanks!!
great video, the pink heard with Jay was awesom, then the fart in a scuba helmet was perfect!!! digging the sliding dovetails idea. inspired me to practice this weekend on some.
thanks, it's a fun joinery technique for sure
The clamp rack turned out great Matt. Great job man!
+Moy perez woodshop
Thanks Moy!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha That computer background. So funny. You told me it was going to be a baby blue heart though.
Sorry, I hope you're not too disappointed!!
lool
I hope Shawn Stone will not be jealous . Great Project, love the clamp rack!
The clamp rack came out great. And I love the " as well as a fart in a scuba mask" I just started laughing so hard. Great job Matt.
+Thom spillane

Looks sharp and I'm jealous of all of the parallel clamps.
Thanks man!

+Sebastian Forseland
Awesome, thanks for watching!
I about woke the family up laughing outloud when I saw the pic on your screen! Too frigging funny! The clamp rack is nice too!
hahaha, thanks man!
THAT WALLPAPER!! I choked on my coffee! Amazing :-)
+Avinash Arora
Awesome, that was the desired effect hahaha!
Your camera work is superb!
+hakthemonsta
Thanks
Great job. :-)
I much prefer this style of clamp rack over the type where each clamp gets it's own slot. Much more space efficient.
+NW
Thanks, I totally agree
Nice work Matt!!I really like that tsquare you used!
Thanks Barry
HeadLocks are some of my favorite screws right now. I like the design because it takes up less space.
+Jeff Jones
Thanks dude!
That's a lot of clamps in a small area Matt. Really came out nice!
+GuysWoodshop
Thanks Guy
That turned out really great, Matt!
+Michael Lawing
thanks dude!
Nicely done Matt and I love the design! You may have just motivated me enough to build one of my own. Just need to come up with a way to hang all the pipe and f-style clamps along side the parallels.
+Andrew Widner
Awesome man, go for it, it's a super easy build!
Great project Matt. I like it.
Thanks man!
Came out great Matt, looks good!
+Paul Meyette
Thanks Paul!!
That turned out great! I need to build something official like that for my clamps. Right now they're hanging from a 2x4 over my bandsaw and drill press. One of these days I know they're going to fall and kill me hahaha. Also, I love the picture on your desktop!
Thanks dude, this was long overdue for sure. i figured the desktop would get people cracked up haha
I need to build one of these too. Yours turned out very nice!
Thanks man
nice job Matt! Love it.
+Mike Kapotsy
Thanks Mike!
Goood idea Mr Lane!!! No se hablar ingés, solo un poco, espero pueda traducirlo... me encantó su sistemas de rack para los sargentos... SALUDOS!!
Gracias
awesome build, Matt. I laughed at the computer wallpaper lol.
+Sean from SimpleCove
haha, thanks man
very nice work Matt
+Charles Holland
Thanks Charles!
This was pretty neat, Matt! I need to build more clamp storage myself. Would to use sliding dovetails but I gotta finish (well, start and finish) building my router table first, haha.
+Carter Wilson Workshop
thanks man!
Quality screen saver Matt!
+Steven Rochon
Hahahaha. Thanks man
I love your computer background XD
+legomanjess
haha, thanks!
hahahaha!
Great upgrade !! Really good video too! Little trick for when routing a dovetail Chanel , remove most of the waste on the table saw with a dado stack then you only have to rout out the angle parts of the dovetail. Safer, easier and saves the wear on the cutter... What tool will you get to fill up that new floor space ?;)
+Tomy Hovington
Thanks Tomy, that's a great idea, I'll remember that for the future! hahaha, not sure yet;)
I almost spit out my coffee seeing your computer wallpaper. HAHAHA
+Jesse ward
hahaha, thanks for watching!!
Great idea and learning experience. LMAO on the "fart in a scuba suit"
Man, please Lord let me use that phrase somewhere quick! "Like a fart in a scuba helmet!" Great video.
+Tom Harding
hahaha, thanks man!
Nice and neat, good design.
+Tim White
Thanks man!
Love the design Matt, totally makes the most use of a small space. I'm going to make one this week! Only thing I think i may do different is instead of trying to screw the back panel to the wall, I'll set up a french cleat so if i get more clamps, i just have to set up another rack panel. Now, I have to ask...how long has the bromance been going on? I've seen you on Jay's videos and have to say that you guys seem to work great together.
+Harry Kline
That's probably a good idea on the French Cleat, I had given some thought to doing the same thing.
Hahaha, we met last year at WIA and had been sorta conversing back and forth for a while. I contacted him about collaborating and we got together after this last woodworking show. It was a lot of fun working with him and he's a super cool dude!
Nice job Matt.
Thanks man!
looking good! would you do anything different?
+EverythingIsPhysics
Not really, maybe make it a little bigger to hold more clamps!
I like it.... you in the corner installing that thing reminded me of a saying I heard recently, "fits like a glove two sizes too small" Lol BTW, just curious are you big spoon?
of course!!
love the background screen on the PC.... can't stop laughing...
hahaha, thanks man!
Hi Mat would it have been easier to mount the rack to the wall with a french cleat?
+Vince Baker
it may have been!
Looks great man! nice result! dovetails are a bit overkill! hahah but it's nice to get fancy sometimes :)
Thanks Carlos! I like overkill haha
Good video, bro. If this was already mentioned, disregard but it looked like your router fence was moving quite a bit at the far end. Make a video for us fixing this issue :)
+directorgtr
The fence wouldn't have been moving because it locks into position. Thanks for watching!
Looking closer, I think you're right. It's actually the entire table slightly moving.
+directorgtr
Lol, I probably forgot to disengage the wheels on the table itself.
I plan on making a similar rack but without the end blocks. Instead I'll cut the supports at a slight angle to point them up.
Sounds like a good idea!
Someday I'll build a some clamp racks :-D
Funny screen saver...when's the date?Lol and great work
+Chris Trout
hahaha, we are still working out the details!
nice work brother
+BradPittlike
Thank you!
Nice. I didn't quite follow some of the geometry layout tricks though.
+Art Mechanics
If you are referencing when I marked out for even spaces, then all you have to do is pull the tape measure up on a diagonal until you get to a number that is easily divided by whatever number you need and then make each mark. Like if the board measures 18 3/8 and you need 4 even spaces, just pull the tape on the diagonal until you reach 20 and you know 5,10,and15 are gonna be your marks. Just mark each one below the tape at that mark and you have your even spaces. It just simplifies the math. I hope I didn't confuse you more haha.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks its a cool trick!
That woodpecker t square makes me feel funny down there.
+Kirby Weldon
Don't worry, it's perfectly natural ;)
Looks great.
+jonh walsh
Thanks man!

You really need to buy and use SPAX SCREWS
That's how you over complicate a simple rack like a boss. :) Well it's ready for tsunami for sure.
+Ville QQ

+Ian Voll

I agree with the other comments I've seen about Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible. Look it up in google, he might still be giving it away to beta-readers.
