I usually get a chance to watch RUclips woodworking videos while having my morning coffee and I always get a few ideas from watching yours. Great work! And thanks.
Well done. I enjoyed your video again. You are moving up my list of woodworkers that I look for when I want to sit and relax and watch them create. thanks Matt
Hi, my name is Mark Williams, I am from Honduras (that is in Central America btw) I started watching your channel because of your friend Jay, you two guys did a video regarding how to paint with an air compressed gun I guess. I admire a lot most of your work, you are very neat and meticulous. I also like a lot your work shop, it seems you have all the tools you need. I started to build a work shop of my own a few months ago, I also like to create things out of wood (wood craftsmanship) it is a passion that I have beside other ones like designing. It is taking me a while due to my lack of time, my main job takes a lot of my time. Also the tools to work with wood here in Honduras are very expensive or some times you do not find them ( I have to order them through Amazon or ebay). I enjoy watching all the videos from different youtubers with the same craftsmanship passion because I learn a lot, thanks for sharing your work and knowledge Matt. Count with my views and likes for your channel, keep up the good work!
+Marky3DXTX Thanks Mark, I appreciate you watching my videos. Woodworking is definitely a very fun hobby. It takes a while to accumulate all the tools, I still don't have all the ones I want. I have had the same problem with my day job taking up a lot of time. Thanks for taking time to comment!
Awesome man! Keep making these videos. Possibly think about some super simple builds for the "tooless" like myself. Well, I've got a drill, circ. saw, hand tools, and access to SOME wood tools through some friends. Also some reclaimed wood builds would be cool. haven't looked through all of your videos yet so its possible you already have. Earned my Sub!
Nice job! How do you like the miter/crosscut fence for your table saw? What brand is it? Do you feel the need to have a crosscut sled in addition to the fence?
+bdshort Thanks man, it's an incra miter gauge. It actually has a sled that goes with it, I just haven't gotten it out of the box yet :/ To answer your question, I love it, it's a little pricey but it has basically all the degree marks built in down to the 1/2 degree. It also has a lot of other cool features like the flip stop.
Matt looks really good. have you ever tried bondo as your filler? It works great and paints nice too. Also look into the ridgid pin nailer awesome tool.
+Tim Buckman Thanks man, I have definitely used filler before being in the auto industry, but not as a wood filler. It's really too much hassle in my opinion for something like this, I think the drywall filler works great. Cool man, I'll check into it, I really need to get one!
Hi, I was surprised that you did not connect the bottom piece after you put the corbel's on. This way you would not have to plug the screw holes and save one step. the finished item looks very good.
+John Fithian-Franks Yeah, you could definitely do it that way. I was sort of worried about getting clamps around the corbels to laminate them together.

Love this coat rack Matt. How did you hang it on the wall ? It must be pretty heavy when finished .
It's hung with a cleat from the top, if you go to the website article I wrote for it, I have pics on there.
Great job! I was curious, how did you attach it to the wall?
+Big Dog Rick
There is a cleat behind the top trim. If you check out the article you'll see it
