It never ceases to amaze me just how quick a woman is to spend anybody else's cash but hers. Melissa, and her entire side of the family, didn't pay a cent for the wedding, but she's somehow able to decide to gift it to a random person? What if Steve or his family knows someone who wants it. It's theirs to offer. They paid for it. When I was in the Army and had to eat at a chow hall where it's covered by the taxpayer and my choice of what to eat there (there was no choice at Basic Training and AIT), I ate a salad and waited until I was off duty for the day to go out and buy my own steak dinner. It's disgusting to find no integrity in society.
Sounds like Steve agreed to it too. It was a combined decision. Plus things were already paid for. Why let it go to waste? Someone else could benefit from it. Just like it was stated in the short. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly some folks are quick to put such a negative spin on things.

You sound like someone from Steve’s side of the family. Yes, his family ended up paying for it. But it certainly won’t cause them any hardship. And they broke the couple up, which was their goal. Though there might be a To Be Continued in the future. Also, the whole thing is probably fictional, so No Millionaires Were Harmed in the filming. Now, about the Army meals: If that’s actually true, it’s the dumbest thing I ever heard. As a taxpayer, I have absolutely no objection to my money going to feed active duty Service members. I’d much rather that they get proper nutrition and medical care, along with their dependents, if any. What I hate is when my money goes to defense contractors for overpriced, obsolete, wasteful projects and armaments. Or to their fat cat lobbyists. Or to the legislators who are having their palms greased by those lobbyists. But anything that actually contributes to troop fitness and readiness - I’m good with it. And if you were really an active Service member: Thank You, on this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
