- Dropping the news about a project me and my friend Tim has been working on for the last couple of months!
NSPanel Manager is both a custom firmware and GUI for the NSPanel but also a docker based management software with API connections to both Home Assistant and Openhab to be able to easily configure and manage your NSPanels. With this solution you will be able to control your entire smart home in no time in a standardized and intuitive way.

This looks extremely cool! There is one thigh missing for my use case, though. My plan is to use these as replacement for the thermostats, so would be cool to have the possibility of that. 100% local thermostat, switching one of the relays (controlling a valve), and then some MQTT control for the lights.
We've realized a lot of people use thermostats so that is put as a high priority. Will add that information to the Kickstarter!

Currently the NSPanel Pro is my favorite panel to hack and it allows many different features to be implemented.

Will be possible to use the Hub feature of the NSpanel and eg connect a R5 scene controller? That can be used in HA as well for scene events
Is ist possible to use with IoBroker and Docker located on Synology?

I have 7 panels, with 4 upstairs & 3 downstairs. With a mix of 2 other projects. They are all US portrait, smile, do you plan to support them.
oh I haven't thought of that. But yes we must support the portrait as well. I just need to redo GUI to fit that one i guess. Good comment! :)
@@CablesCoffee I've asked this on the kickstarter FAQ as well. If you want US supporters, you need to address the portrait models.
@@simnick hello! Have to clarify that then! I added like a row in the Kickstarter but I will add pictures as well when I can. We are going to support the US version! We're just waiting for a panel to be able to finish the GUI for that model.
Is there any way you can you use the ns panel themperature sensor and one of the relays as a thermostat?
All the updates are OTA? This softwares works also for NS PANEL PRO? It should be because you setting docker server to make it work, unless the firmware were not updated, have a pro coming this week, if not I will get a ns panel because love you project. When is coming up on kickstarter page?
Yes you just have to flash it once with our firmware. No but when Tim read your comment he said: Hmm it would be possible to make a homepage for the NSPanel Pro and make it look kind of the same and then use the same logic as we do for the standard one. But it's not in the scope right now. :)
pls note, that the nspanel PRO is run over Android. Not sure if you can flash this firmware without any other software..

HA sucks big time. Terrible secuirty, complete lack of stability - constant breaking changes strange adming behaviours (banning for mentioning security issues.) Very poor community management. And nothing really changes from years.
do you mean home assistant? its so much better than it used to be...
