    5:20 Correction: Atmospheric pressure is greater at the bottom because it is supporting the weight of the atmosphere above. Gravity is not much less at 50 or 100 miles altitude than it is at ground level.

    10:05 Incorrect. Rainbows aren't formed from scattered light from airborne particles, they're formed from the refraction of white light when the light passes through water droplets at the correct angle.

    Sorry, there are still plenty of radio waves being refracted (not reflected) by the ionosphere. There are over 2.5 million HAM radio operators on the planet that still rely on the ionosphere for day-to-day communications and even emergencies. Not to mention, the many shortwave radio stations that are still in operation.

    Lower gravity is NOT a reason why jets fly higher... the difference in airplane weight at the surface and at 50000 ft is indistinguishable in the real world.
    Thinner air, less drag and better engine efficiency are the reasons.

      Yikes! You said our satellites and our space station are parked! That was woefully inaccurate. Please edit the video to reflect that, that they are in fact NOT parked. They are actually moving, moving VERY fast, they are orbiting our planet many times a day, the ISS itself orbits the planet once every 92 minutes, at 17,150 miles per hour, or 5 miles per second.
      Please fix this part of your video as it is an error and deserves fixing. You are trying to educate people, make it right, please.

    • @list25
      @list25  8 лет назад

      I enjoy singing but I will never ever claim to be good. I haven't heard Tristan try to sing. I didn't sing it because I wanted to keep it in quote format. I thought about it though. As for being colorblind, neither Tristan nor I are, but my father was. Don't worry about tangents. Ask Tristan or Juan, I go off on MANY MANY tangents. ~Mike

    There are set laws on how all gases behave. A gas will expand to fill its container. Were is the container for the earth? The whole universe ?? l 2. Gas pressure is caused by the gas molecules pushing up against a barrier. Were is the barrier ? Were in the atmosphere are the molecules pushing up ? 3. Helium molecules have mass why is the magic gravity of earth not pulling them down ? NOT POSSIBLE ACCORDING TO THE NATURALLY OBSERVED GAS BEHAVIOUR USING SMALLER CONTAINERS.

      It actually is. The farther you are from the center of the earth the weaker gravity; of course, it's a very minuscule difference, but it's still worth noting. :)
