I am completely hooked, I'm watching every single one since they started. That's over 800 videos. Thank you list25, you've given me a huge curiosity boost.
With all of these facts that are essential for our life and people still think it happened by chance...... WAKE UP!!!! God has skillfully and lovingly created all things!!!
Maybe this is why we're having difficulties finding alien life. The conditions need to be just right for life to form. However, maybe the alien life forms can adapt to things we can't.
Life evolved into what it is today under these conditions, which is why people make the mistake that all these factors are so fine tuned to us. We are fine tuned to it, and if things had been different we would be different as well; the universe is not fine tuned to us. These sorts of videos are very misleading to the uninformed.
+Vee Flynn The belief that we would still exist under other conditions is an unknowable supposition. Life that exists today is "life as we know it". But since we do not know human life any other way we cannot say simply that " Oh we would be different if things were different" which of course we can only know this if we know humanoid life in other conditions.Likewise we would have found an abundance of life on other planets with very different conditions. But what do we see? A whole lot of nothing at all in terms of life on other planets. So a distinct argument can be made for the idea that life formed as a result of some fine tuning. It does not have to be one or the other, it very well could be both.
+Randomname Having a different opinion does not make people idiots. This is what is such an issue with people it seems now more than ever. Anyone who challenges your ideology is either stupid or small minded. Instead let us consider that we may very well be able to learn from one another. Arbitrarily calling people idiots is, in itself, fairly silly.
+Terncote these factors are fine tuned to us. Specifically carbon based life on earth. More specifically human beings. The exactness of the conditions proves that life is rare in the universe, perhaps unique, and earth was prepared for us. The absence of proof may not be the proof of absence; however neither can it be a straw man to hold up and worship until full knowledge is achieved.
Hey guys! I don't comment much on very many channels, but, I must tell you that even though I'm a new sub, I've been watching your videos for at least a year.....all of you sincerely run an informative, well written channel to which has helped me understand the world I live in with my family. I also very much appreciate the great light heartedness, and humor that is displayed here. You guys must truly love what you do, because it really shows!! Congrats on your great work!!
As we progress, more and more evidence proves we live in a finely tuned cosmos. So perfect, so balanced to support life. All this evidence points to an intelligent creator that exists outside of creation ( beyond time and space ).
"Everything that has happened up to this point could not have happened any other way, for if it did I would not be here to question it, some other life would be asking the questions."
love the video! i gotta add something though, something that ive read quite a while ago and not sure its even true. i read that if the ratio of the four fundamental forces of the universe (strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electromagnetic and gravitational) was different by even a part of a %, life formation would have been impossible. seemed logical to me
+Rajan Bains the phrase "we adapted to the universe" makes no sense, it's like saying that the moon adapted to the earth, we were not life beings billions of years ago, we were only some random elements. Only intelligent life can adapt to dna, so you can only say that life adapted to earth with years passing by, that would make sense
That is why everything is perfect, its to the brink of one removing a single factor, and boom, extinction. Yet it will never happen because everything is held together.
+Jimbo-Kills you do understand that all living organisms on earth are adapted to EARTH. If earth was diffrent there could still possibly be life that had adapted to that.
True. That's why it would be called alien life. It's different from us. These are things we require not something another lifeform living from another element would need. We require oxygen and carbon. Aliens could require methane or something else.
Re 4: For a solar eclipse the apparent size of the sun and of the object covering the sun don't have to be the same. It's only important that the cover appears bigger than the sun. For example, there are total solar eclipses on Jupiter.
All these things determined how we developed (evolved) ...Allegedly. It makes sense. We can’t limit anything being possible in the entire universe. Isn’t it more logical to think that life has adapted immensely in order to survive the conditions they face.
25 things which without them we wouldn't of been here... those 25 things could of easily been changed. i am grateful of life now. Thank you dude for making this video, since i know it can be annoying editing videos. anyway thanks again and i hope you have a great day!
This just proves that the universe was made by a supreme being just for me because he hates me. why else would he leave me trapped on a planet full of a bunch of assholes.
This makes me think there has to be something that created the whole universe like how can everything just become a thing. The more I think about how big the universe is the more it creeps me out
How precarious "life" is or our life form? There are a variety of living organisms thriving in environments that would be deadly to us. That is likely the case throughout the universe.
ya know, I love science, but it does tend to deal with the"how"of things and not the why. I'm not a believer in religion, however, it does seem that everything was put together in just the right ways for life as we know it to exist and flourish. I definitely believe that there is other life in our seemingly endless universe. Is it life as we've come to understand it? Do we even understand everything that we believe? When you look at it objectively, everything is just conjecture.

5- The flip of the magnetic field does not take thousands of years. It has happened within human history. We have evidence contained in the molecular alignment of pottery that the magnetic field has flipped and flipped back very rapidly.
I almost fell asleep after 3 minutes. I really love List25 videos but this one not so much sorry. How about a video about Rockabilly Kustom Hotrod Kulture? And I would like to see Mike in a rockabilly costume! :)
A lot of these are specific to us (humans) and if we didnt have some of them we would have evolved differently but obviously some of these facts are needed for any life.
Considering how large the universe is, it's a virtual certainty that there is more life in elsewhere. Life finds a way. Iron concentrations destroy life? No. It destroys the life that is here NOW.
+kavli tou skotous 69 The evidence is in the banded iron formations around the world. That's where most of the iron ore we mine comes from. Stromatolites produced oxygen that rusted out all that iron from ocean water, then replaced most of the CO2 that was in the air. That took over a billion years to accomplish.
is it possible that all these things didnt need to happen the way they did for life to exist, but life evolved to the environment they were given to work with???
For those who refuse to believe in a creator, no evidence will be enough. I see how everything fits together on this planet, species and nature to make a fantastically balanced machine that needs no intervention. So complex it is mathematically impossible to blame it on chance. There is no evidence of life forming from nothing - in fact we can't reanimate the smallest creature when it is dead. I guess when we are all dead, we will know the truth.
We are just random life in the big universe , but we make our purpose how to live our lives and what to do next. Prayer:How to do nothing and still think you're helping. May atheist and agnostics live through years to come until all religions of the world will perish . Cheers! :)
unlikely accidental. alot of these constants like the gravitational constant (10^60) are very fine. 1 decimal point over and universe expands and thins out or impoldes
Hey, fatty! I liked this episode. Good list with interesting information, instead of that generic 2 year old I commented on last time we met on RUclips. Nice work - keep it up!

+DarkFlame Poetry Correct! However until we know that other life exists that is under different conditions we have to take it that life only exists as we know it. Until otherwise proven.

All of these "precise" things, are either wrong (like sun being between the arms of the milky way allows life, when in fact the sun moves in and out of the arms as it orbits), or they assume life is incapable of existing under any other circumstances than what we find ourselves in right now. Life is amazingly resilient, but species are specifically adapted to the environment they live. There's a theory that we may are currently the only planet with life BUT not the first one. Means other planets had maybe a civilization like we have now but billions of years ago
Aski Are you a fucking doctor? If not, you can't diagnose me. If so, you do a fucking shitty job at it. "why the fuck did you ask what happened to the audio?" Oh, so now I can't be curious? "Was there a reason on then just being a jackass?" What the hell are you asking? "If you cannot say another reason you why you wrote your comment, you're a jackass." Are you so fucking stubborn about me that you're limiting the reasons for what I do?
+Gallent Bristle Not to mention the question of why a god would create the universe on such a precarious edge. Why wouldn't it give it a bit of an error buffer?
I'm against any form of organized religion. But all this makes it so hard to believe that life is just the result of random astronomical coincidences...
And some still don’t believe in God!? The King of the universe is real. We are imperfect beings, that want perfection from day one, and that’s why God chose a bloodline through which ONE messiah would provide a way to defeat death. Can’t do that by just “being a good person”. Our best efforts will never create astronomical proportions.
+Hikikamari MOST of these facts agree with that. think like this, there were life on earth BEFORE it took its shape. It was a single large continent in its start and there was still life.
The constant of gravity is fine tuned to 1 of the 10^60 ( 10 raised to 60 ) parts.. if it were to increase or decrease by even 1 part, the universe would either fly apart without stopping or collapse into a small hole... What are the odds that this isnt happening and that the Gravity constant is 'specially designed' to make life possible? and this is just one of the various constants the universe exhibits
How likely does it really seem that these 25 conditions for life listed all just happened to come together such that life is possible on this planet? Add to that dozens more laws needed for ANY sort of life in this entire universe? Do you really think we won THAT many crucial lotteries? Doesn't it rather indicate such were rigged in our favor? If variables were slightly different it is not that life would be different, but that no type of life would be possible at all. Besides all these factors required for life on our earth there are also all the fundamental laws of the universe. That these were fine-tuned is acknowledged by Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, etc. They figure that it would take an infinite number of chances to have one with all the crucial natural laws to be set just right such as exists. A slight variation in any of these precise variables and stars don't form, only the simplest elements exist, expansion of the universe is too fast or slow, chemical reactions don't occur and innumerable other factors crucial for life won't occur. ANY sort of life, not just what exists in our universe. Stephen Hawking has noted, "The laws of science, as we know them at present, contain many fundamental numbers, like the size of the electric charge of the electron and the ratio of the masses of the proton and the electron. ... The remarkable fact is that the values of these numbers seem to have been very finely adjusted to make possible the development of life." - A Brief History of Time, 1988, Bantam Books, ISBN 0-553-05340-X, p. 125. The "pothole in a road" analogy some alluded to isn't valid. If it was then any universe/pothole would do. That isn't the case so its Apples/Oranges. An oversimplification. A puddle doesn't have to be any particular shape, life does have specific vital requirements. Here are 4 reason I believe in a Creator in 20 words. 1. Something can't COME from nothing. 2. The earth is remarkably suitable. (As pointed out in this video) 3. Life ONLY comes from pre-existing life. 4. Design REQUIRES a Designer. It is understandable some would prefer to believe there is no Creator. Thus, no ultimate standard as to what is right and wrong and no one who originated life to whom you are beholding and subordinate. No one who designed humans and thus knows the best way to live. Why be an ingrate? (Romans 1:19,20) what may be known about God is clearly evident among them, for God made it clear to them. 20 For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable. For those open-minded to considering evidence on both sides of the issue, please consider this article: www.jw.org/en/publications/books/Was-Life-Created/
+quadsbrah 123 based off what we know, the universe is not infinite, it is expanding. You are referring to other possible theories, such as multiverse theory.

"If you cannot say another reason you why you wrote your comment, you're a jackass." Are you so fucking stubborn about me that you're limiting the reasons for what I do?
The temperate and tropic zones are two VERY different things.
That's deep.... And the video is only at the first seconds
I came to the conclusion that I don’t really care I’m going to be part of it one day ...and I won’t make any difference
This is just proof that God exists.
Doesn't *
+Matthew Chong Ping how doesn't this prove gods existence?
+Kyle Drury because theoretically it could all just be an extreme coincidence.
+Gallent Bristle Not to mention the question of why a god would create the universe on such a precarious edge. Why wouldn't it give it a bit of an error buffer?
Right on Brother
These are based on life as we know it. Alien life may not be confined to similar conditions.
I'm against any form of organized religion.
But all this makes it so hard to believe that life is just the result of random astronomical coincidences...
the finetuning argument
So what youre saying is everything for our planet as we know it is perfect just right for life to exist is why its called the goldielocks position
7:05 - "Contains 8.5*1018tons" lmao... You mean 8.5*10^18..
Looks like you misread your copy and pasted notes.
+Yusomi hahah theyre dumbasses
+Yusomi
Humans...
I'm sure you knew that offhand ;)
+Yusomi I read around and he in fact read a faulty source.
LMAO
5:33 Instantly reminded me of H3H3 Productions lol
And some still don’t believe in God!? The King of the universe is real. We are imperfect beings, that want perfection from day one, and that’s why God chose a bloodline through which ONE messiah would provide a way to defeat death. Can’t do that by just “being a good person”. Our best efforts will never create astronomical proportions.
almost all of these problems could have been solved when life was first formed by evolution, allowing life to continue.
05- They need to bu new compasses and Rad-X
Universe wasn't shaped so we could live in it, we did. We adapted to live in those circumstances.
+Hikikamari MOST of these facts agree with that.
think like this, there were life on earth BEFORE it took its shape. It was a single large continent in its start and there was still life.
Tonninseteli blahaha
(As pointed out in this video)
For those open-minded to considering evidence on both sides of the issue, please consider this article:

Everything about earth is to perfect to have come about bu chance.
No the universe is infinite therefore everything that is possible will, has, and is happening.
+quadsbrah 123 based off what we know, the universe is not infinite, it is expanding. You are referring to other possible theories, such as multiverse theory.
And your point is.....? Aren't you glad that you're doing good?
Where are you? I like seeing you and your face
