LOL I downloaded the video and converted it to play on a PS2 for the hell of it (640x480, mpeg2 video codec (basically the same as a DVD), and played it in simple media system. It did NOT like that color scene but handled the rest just fine, although it was probably an issue with USB (The PS2 only has usb 1.1, which is a bit slow for video) I bet if I burned it to a proper DVD or loaded over the network it'd play flawlessly.

I just watched this with a nearly 20 year old stereo Altec Lansing speaker setup and it seriously sounded like surround sound lol. Also I can't believe these speakers are that old... it just occured to me now. We got our first computer in year 2000 when I was a teenager and I built my first not that long after and bought this set for it and never replaced them.

Interesting. On an LCD screen the “this is black” part has a HUGE noticeable difference to a much darker colour, but on my phone with an OLED screen it’s exactly the same, not a slight bit of difference, the blacks in the before and after are literally pitch black, as if the screen was off. Was expecting a more noticeable difference on the OLED honestly, but it handled both the before and after incredibly.
Its kind of a scam: the "before" is just the white turned on 1 out of 256. When they show the after they turn it to fully black. This is to amplify the effect. An oled screen actually handles and sees this 1% of white and just turns it into fully black(fully off)
Display probably doesn't even support dolby vision and also the content is not real dolby vision....
@@BerserkeR_031 the content IS hdr so at least it was uploaded with hdr in mind. But I doubt it is dolby vision
I put HDR on from Windows settings and then I saw the "this is not black" part being not black..it was like dirty grey or whatever. And with HDR off it was the same black.

How this possible? Viewd on the most powerful currently on the market which undoubtedly added to the experience. I can't wait to test on my ridiculously expensive Sony headphones. same i am totally gobsmacked, earlier i searched up the best gaming pc on the market. it has a 6000:1 ish contrast ratio. the iphone twelve has an INFINITE (2,000,000:1) contrast ratio. i dont know how people arent talking about how the best cinema screens in the world are on our phones.

Yikes, the bitrate is so low, there's an INTENSE amount of banding on an actual HDR screen.
It mattes if the hdr is properly working... Xs and up that you won't see that! Also over S10+ you won't

@@firestar4430 Bro because it's and Dolby HDR content. Those which support Dolby HDR won't look like that. Like some TVs and newer iPhones.... If you get a chance to check you might notice. It look better supporting phone and TV
@@nazmulhuda3262. the LG C1 supports both the HDR 10 and Dolby Vision standards...the original comment is correct, the bitrate of this particular video is low and banding is present on higher end 4K displays. It may not be as noticeable on your lower res/smaller display (I'm guessing you're viewing on a phone?).
@@firestar4430 Yeah you are right then... I've noticed banding in non Dolby Vision supported displays like S10+ but not in iPhone XS. So it might be for smaller displays the banding to be less noticeable.

ok i first watched this on my iphone 13 pro max since u usually dont get much use and experience of the oled on a phone and such a small screen, but that "this is black" scene kinda blew my mind. especially watching it in the dark. also the stereo speakers did a decent job with the spatial audio. now comparing this video on my fairly decent ips monitor, that "this is black" scene barely changed at all
Just wanted to let you know, you cannot test your surround sound system with a RUclips video because it automatically converts to a lower audio quality and you're left with a simulated surround sound. The best way to test is with an actual movie!

@@Melqnix are you brain dead? Audio compression on youtube has nothing to do with "airpods" or iphones or anything Apple related and it never will. While yes you can use surround sound as of a few months ago, apple has nothing to do with it nor samsung or any other company.

Have a decent 4k HDR Monitor on my PC with a crap budget sound bar underneath and holy cow the sound did actually seem like it was behind me at some points. In my main living room I use a separates surround system and have always been dubious about the ability of sound bars to create virtual surround, but this wasn't half bad!
