Amazing looking course and a great comeback from 3 over.
I was taught by a Scottish neighbour in Montreal. He taught me to feel green slopes with my feet. I was 11 years old and he suggested making a green in the backyard using a push mower, a water filled roller, twelve starting points and a couple of sun lamps for late evening golf. 56 years later I enjoy an 8 handicap from the blues and am awed by the power of my young competitors.

Aimpoint has transformed my putting. I now wonder what people think they are doing when they wander around trying to see a break. With aimpoint you KNOW the break and using the fingers in proportion to the slope you also know exactly where to aim. It's amazing once you get the feel of the slopes. As far as footwear, it's not so much about feeling the ground, but sensing which foot has the most pressure on it. I wouldn't want really soft shoes but firm shoes are no issue.

I had a 30 minute course in Aimpoint and do use it with some limitations. I can't feel anything that is less than 1% slope and so I agree that shoes and other factors make it difficult to detect more precisely than that for most of us. Where I find it very useful is in correctly assessing 2, 3, 4 and 5% slopes where I'd normally under-read the putt. It requires a lot of practice with a level to learn to read the % slopes which is where most of the skill is.

Thank you for keeping these chasing the red episodes!!!! They're My favorite ! ❤❤❤ and so happy you've figured out your clubs! Today I went and hit a track man with all my clubs and got my distances. At least a baseline. I plan to continue to improve technique and gain a few yards 😊.
Muthaiga, Karen and Limuru, three great courses and now getting the exposure through the DP World Tour. Born and brought up in Kenya and loved these courses. Up country there were plenty of other courses worth visiting and playing. Great to see you giving Limuru exposure Iona. Asante sana.

Thanks Iona, lovely stuff. Bucket list just gets bigger. Your confidence striping the ball through some of those narrow shutes is inspiring. Great to see the birdy dance sneaking into other channels.
I use aimpoint for now 4 years. Not depending on shoes but on the condition of the grass on the green…. (wet, dry, sanded). Together with dan greaves short game tips it helps to keep my scores in balance 😊

Freddy Couples has interesting gapping - he uses 10 yard in the scoring zone, and 15 outside. There's a lesson there....
Wedges - Mizuno (at least) are available in 2 degree increments across multiple bounce and grid variations. So you can smoothly full in between clubs. Of course, if you like a 55/56 & 60 like I do, than the top end is already fixed....
Such an irony on that uphill putter on hole 2. You are commenting on how the brain was not engaged while putting. Yet you chose to continue with the putter in hand even though you were clearly not engaged into that either. Great learning experience for us watching. Such an easy thing to do to go to the next strike without clearing the head from the previous.
Looks a great course to play, I like your comments about aim point it seems too complicated for me I eyeball it too, my problem is distance control I'm normally on line but short. Great content though.👍

Limuru is a beautiful and lovely golf course. But I invite you to Nakuru Golf Club to get a glimpse of the most scenic course in Kenya!
I'm very similar to you Iona, I've always said that your eyes are the best judge, I pay particular attention to the last 4ft of the putt, get my spot from that, two practice swings for feel, then putt.
But what is your thoughts on the Cam Smith, no practice swing method??
