Intercooler behind the oil cooler means its going to get hot air from the oil cooler. Not ideal. If you can mount them to the side or behind, it will likely have slightly lower IATs.

@@KaelinatorPVP Yeah, if it were a radiator it would be a non issue. However, this is the heat exchanger for an intercooler. So you want that fluid as close to ambient as possible.

If you can route the coolant line around the belt instead of through, you won't have to disconnect the coolant line to switch the belt. Loving the build so far!

Try using a one step smaller filler rod..it might help you feed a little more evenly. Maybe run without pulse too, it could help to make each weld look more uniform, espescially on tubes! Love the work! (on your steel stuff, that is.)

Quick hack if you didn't have spare tube would be weld a sacrifice piece on to get the bend done. After all you cut it off anyway

I’d think mounting the fans behind the bumper on the bottom would make more sense since there’s naturally going to be dead air down there. Granted you’d need pushers and you wouldn’t get flow through the oil coolers but you’d have more room in the bay to deal with thrown belts etc.

You are gonna end up heating the intercooler having it behind the fluid coolers. Intercooler should be up front

Buy yourself a coolant vacuum purge kit and forget about having to worry about bleeding any cooling system again.
Kinda like a modern cooling package where a whole bunch of heat exchangers are one big UNIT!

It is better to mount those coolers turned 90°, inlet and outlet on the side.
The bottom connection is inlet, top outlet, that way air is forced out and prevents air pockets and hot spots.

If you want more power ging why don’t you run nitrous? These 1UZ’s love 175 shot of nitrous and you can setup the purge line right in front of the heat exchanger and when you purge your lines it cools off the heat exchanger thus keeping the supercharger cooler

Did you fix the rear suspension so the end that it connected to the body can turn? If not take a look at how push rod works on other cars. If you keep it this way they shocks will break because they will flex.

A 500hp ls3 would have been such a better solution, I know it's cool to be different but this is an insane amount of work for 300hp. Lighter, more powerful, more reliable. There's just no denying it.

Nah, the heat exchanger is big enough I don't think it'll cause any issues.

@_Gingium_ to go from inches to mm, multiply by 25.4/ from mm to inches divide by 25.4. if you want meters you can divide feet by 3.28. Hope this works for the future 👍
Probably already to late to the party, but if you run the hose through the belt, you cannot change the supercharger belt without losing coolant! It will make it a cunt to service.

The two coolers should be outside the bumper
Are you going to address the front wheel stance being wider than the rear?
That is a drift car thing. Look at pro level FD cars, this truck is very very mild in terms of front poke in comparison. There isn't really anything you can do about it either because you have to run the poke to get more angle. The only way you would fix it is to add massive spacers to the rear which is not a very good solution at all and staggered will give you a better feel than a square setup anyways. Brand new cars and especially trucks have the front wheels wider than the rear just to accommodate stock steering angle. These custom drift cars can run way more over stock.
Don't run the hose through the belt. Super chargers like to throw belts. Having to remove and bleed the coolant every time would suck
I don't understand how your charge air is supposed to be cooled if you're blowing hot air through the radiator. Oil coolers flat under the hood with some louvers in the hood would work much better

This truck started as a budget and practical drift car, going to the track on a single vehicle, carrying its own wheels and tyres made a lot of sense. Now this is not practical nor budget and you will probably have to toe it to the track, i don't get it anymore. Why should anyone spend this much effort and money on a truck is beyond me. Even considering views...i don't think this is an attractive build.
Having said that, the engineering and craftmanship on this build is fucking impressive.
I’m building it to be the best “street truck” as possible. It’ll 100% be able to drive to the track, drift, and drive home
Opinions can differ wildly from one commenter to the next. Then there is this build, where so far, everyone else seems to love it, including myself. I think it looks awesome, wish it was mine.
i think youre wasting ALOT of time, money and resources going dual radiator setup. the 1UZ engine doesnt really having heating and cooling issues.
the rear rad is probably MORE then enough to keep it cool, even sideways at redline. ive completely abused a 1uz with a leaking cooling system and never had issues. they simply dont run that hot for a V8.
