It was cheaper than that for sure. 3- 2x6x8, 5- 2x4 and I used 2 4x4 posts but on my second build, I made it so it was 4 foot high so I could use one 4x4 post cut in half. I just looked up at lowes.com and with current lumber prices it's about $76.20 for the lumber not including screws to fasten it together.

using the pi I am sure saved you a few hundred bucks. Your future home is what I want to do, a detach garage with living space above. But it would be more like a 3 car garage size so I can have a workshop.
Yea, it did not make sense to buy the Victron cerbo gx when they off the software for the PI for free. No brainer. I am opting for a smaller home because it's less the county can tax. I will have many accessory buildings for sure. I will likely build a new garage at some point. My main focus is just getting the "legal dwelling" as I can't build anything or get structure insurance until I have that done.
