- One of the most romantic stories ever written comes to Broadway. Based on the Nobel Prize®-winning novel and the Academy Award®-winning classic, this sweeping saga of romance and revolution now comes to the stage as a stunning new Broadway musical.
Magical. Pure satisfaction knowing that the art of pure talent has once again made it to the stage in a breathtaking display. Thank you for keeping the pure joy and theatrics of the "Musical" ALIVE! Cannot wait to come to NYC to see Zhivago. The music draws me ever nearer. WTG Amy Powers & ensemble. You make us proud.
Absolutely beautiful melody and lyrics!! And wonderful talent...I can't wait to see the show! I'll be looking for the Cast Recording as soon as you open. "Merde" on your first previews!!
As someone who's been listening to this song for the last four years(Sung by Anthony Warlow and Lucy Maunder in the Australian production) ...............................I dont know what to say about this version.....................................
I like this one too, but I think the australian one sounds better.
Agreed. If I had been introduced to this first, I reckon I would really like it. But having first heard Anthony and Lucy...this doesn't do it for me. But then, that does happen quite a lot - once I've heard Anthony sing a particular song, I can't listen to anyone else sing it!
They made the right call to adjust the tone of the song to fit Kelli Barrett and Tam Mutu's compassionate and youthful chemistry.
Beautiful........❤️
YES YES AND MORE YES. I didn't know I needed it but I did! Maybe Hans can make a cameo?? ;)
Congrats Amy Powers!
:) Just beautiful.
There's no shame in saying you can't sing as well as Anthony Warlow. That's like saying you can't play basketball as well as Michael Jordan. Well duh. Still, a very solid version. Wish I could have seen it before it closed. Unfortunately it only played for what 6 minutes on Broadway before being cancelled?
+Richard Bermudez Yeah, and it was successful in Australia and got good reviews. I don't get it--what's so different about the theatre climate between here and there?
I have been DYING for a new musical from Lucy Simon, and it's a shame to see this didn't do well on Broadway. (But maybe it'll be one of those shows that comes into its own in local productions.) I've also been dying to hear the Simon/Norman version of Wuthering Heights that's been in the works for years and years.
Anthony Warlow has ruined this for everyone else. Hard to listen to this knowing the Warlow version is out there.
