I just saw it this past Saturday and it was fantastic. Kelli Barrett was absolutely amazing! The plot may not please everyone, but the overall performance was simply incredible. Highly recommend this musical!
Find it incredible people are comparing Tam Mutu to Anthony Warlow A) Before the show has even entered previews B) Based on a video at a press event C) Without giving him the chance to put his stamp on the role. Very unclassy folks very unclassy.
I'm longing for the soundtrack to be released! Saw Zhivago at the opera in Malmö, Sweden, and I love the show. Hope the Broadway version is just as good :)
They cancelled the "Original Australian Cast" recording at the last minute :'( They even stated taking pre-orders via a form inserted into the program :(
I am a bit worried about this musical. Although it is a famous film, it was made 50 years ago and I don;t think many people under 40 will have actually seen it, even if they have some recollection of what is. I suppose they are wishing it will be the next Miserables. Hopefully, the weaknesses that have been widely discussed have been ironed out and this does not turn into a turkey.
I've never seen the movie but I adored this musical when I saw it in Sydney, it became one of my favourite musicals! Sadly this cast seems weak in comparison to the original cast (especially with Anthony Warlow!)
Felicity Amos Anthony Warlow is the god of musical theatre. Tam stands zero chance against him. Too bad Anthony rarely comes to either Broadway or West End.
I just saw the first preview show last night at the Broadway Theater. It was excellent and will stand on it's own. Cast, Direction, Music, Vocals , Acting all superb. Everything a Broadway musical should be. I want to see it again. My advice is to get tickets ASAP!

I really enjoyed this show! This was my favorite song, so emotional. Too sad and unfair show closed so early.
*sigh* I could listen to this all day. Hopefully there will be a soundtrack soon.

It's hard for anyone to really live up to Anthony Warlow.
The title character was basically written with Mr Warlow in mind

I'm a fan of Anthony Warlow. But he wasn't in this video, let's just enjoy Tam and Kelli's beautiful duet!
