Nelson: *explaining the CARFAX report*
Guy in front of the truck: 👋😃
303,000 on my 04 Z-71 crew. Weak points are the G-80 rear locking differential, transfer case pump bracket wearing through case body. Had it 13 years and I gotta say, it gets the job done and the styling is timeless.
Most of the time people don't even need the G80 it's nice to have but not necessarily effective.
Gotta love those early 2000’s Silverados
And the Tahoe
Awesome video, but maybe you could’ve removed the the background music
Yeah I’m still new to RUclips lol in the learning process. I’ll see what I can do. Thanks for the tip 👍
@@povnelson2019No background music makes for better asmr
I like the music it's a vibe
At 16 I bought my first truck an 04 5.3L 1500 I still have it after 7 years with 230k
260K+ on my 2004 with 4.8L. I think I need to change the oil pick up ring - other than that, just basic maintenance. Good truck
I just turned 16 and dang I want one of these!
Definitely agree. I enjoyed it. Suggestion for another video like this. How reliable is the 1988 ford mustang lx hatchback 2.3L
Nice truck mines just hit 200K had to rebuild the transmission at 185K.. runs like new !!! Super reliable hope to get it to 300K !!
Nice we just got a 1997 GMC Sierra with 275K miles runs strong 💪 it’s a crazy good truck I can’t wait to make a video on it
@@povnelson2019 nice 👌 i am in the market for a 90s version can't wait for the vid !!!
I’m driving the truck now lol basically made it my daily. We’re in the process of smogging it. Ca smog is crazy these days.
Did you change the transmission fluid regularly? I am at 160k and never changed but wondering if I should
@@jmn1238 I changed it every 50K
I like that wood on the instrument cluster bezel trim 👍🏼 and I agree these trucks are really reliable maintaining them well, my 04 4.8 RCSB has 174k miles and is running flawless I’ve replaced spark plugs, wires, valve covers and gaskets, oil pressure sensor, water pump, thermostat and housing, belt tensioners and idler pulley, belts, alternator, serviced transmission (fluid, pan gasket, filter), differential serviced and now it’s pretty much flawless.
Really love the videos bro thanks for the advice
I've got a 05 crew cab, same exact color as this one. 137K. Gonna keep it for along time. It's not my daily
driver so miles will stay low. Lives in my garage when not in use. Perfect interior. 5.3 detail clean under the hood.
144 k on mine...have taken pretty good care. Headline needs replaced.but no problems. No electric windows ac so cool no electric seats....just a good truck...
Yeah these trucks are awesome 👏. And with all the cool custom parts there making these truck will never go out of style.
All it need is a trokiando decal in the rear window and you'll be all set!
My brothers has one on his Single Cab lol 😂
great video's!
bro please make more videos like these with driving pov too 🔥
I’m lookin to buy one of these soon, so far the feed back I’m getting is the v8 seems to be the better/more reliable buy
189k on mine, that old 5.7 still runs strong as ever. Don’t think I’m ever gonna get rid of her
Yeah bro keep it these are classic trucks now. They don’t build them like this anymore lol
@@povnelson2019 Oh yeah, absolutely. Also, I meant to say 5.3 lol
500k on my 05 LS crew cab only break problem is the gauge cluster
please do a 07-13 silverado bumpy road test!
Those dashboard Zay always seem to hold up pretty good in these trucks are brothers got a 2004 he bought brand new my dashboard looks like brand new itself
I bought a 2000 GMC with 170,000 miles on it 1500 four-wheel-drive same motor you have which is a good motor only thing I have to do is ahead a head gasket going bad so I had them both replaced rather not been a good truck and drive it that much but it’s a nice truck I love it same color as yours I found aluminum camper top to put on it and they’re hard to find truck looks
I have a 2000 5.3 Z71 4x4 Extended Cab and I've clocked 217k on mine. Very reliable trucks. The engines are solid I still have original tranny though I've heard people going through a couple at over 200k. Probably I need to do a CV axle on passenger side soon on mine. The electronics are crap for AC Delco. I think I need a new PCM.
They're 500,000 miles reliable. A couple transmissions but that's still cheaper than sales tax.
Bro why can't we have reliable things anymore
Just bought one with 125k miles for a work truck. Its great
That is awesome! I love these trucks.
@@povnelson2019im gonna start driving a truck soon but i just want to know how do i stay centered in the lane , i get anxious when passing cars on the road and since im gonna start driving a truck what tips do you have?
That's a ideal truck friends
i love this truck =D
i'm kinda looking into one but a single cab
256.k on my 03 nice and run like new
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
I'm looking at an 05 with under 100k on it. very tempting
I recently found a 5.3 with 128.000 miles great truck you won’t be disappointed
@@oswaldosantamaria3384 ended up getting a 2012 with a 5.3 and under 100k. i love it.
Good truck. That's low miles for those nowadays. Buy it.
I have a 2001 z71 got 300k on it now and still going I did one transmission and a rear end that’s all other then things I wanted to do or upgrade
Would this be a good first truck?
@@joshmcdonald8180 a very good first truck it would be
O5 Silverado rebuilt transmission and keeps on going
Make the music louder next time!💯💯
160k on mine and some minor repairs but nothing major
Nice 👍
👍
El tablero es igual que la Chevrolet traiblazer
No 😂 no es igual
